BARACK OBAMA MIXES RELIGION, POLITICS AT CLEMENTA PINCKNEY’S FUNERAL
|| By FITSNEWS || U.S. president Barack Obama delivered a issue-laden eulogy of slain South Carolina Senator Clementa Pinckney – one of nine victims of last week’s horrific, racially motivated shooting at the Mother Emanuel AME Church in downtown Charleston, S.C.
Pinckney – the church’s pastor – and eight others were killed by 21-year-old white supremacist Dylann Storm Roof, who has confessed to carrying out the attack and told police his intention was to start a “race war.”
The killer thought he would “deepen divisions,” Obama said.
“Oh, but God works in mysterious ways,” he added.
That’s true.
In fact the unity of white and black South Carolinians demonstrated in the aftermath of this tragedy – and the forgiveness shown to Roof by the families of the Mother Emanuel victims – represents one of the greatest outpourings of true love America has ever seen.
To say nothing of a seismic rebuke of the bigotry which served as the pretext for this attack.
Speaking of, Obama correctly noted that “the (Confederate) flag did not cause these murders” – although he added, again correctly, that the flag is a “reminder of systematic oppression and racial subjugation.”

He also launched into a stirring rendition of “Amazing Grace” – a raw, emotional moment in his speech.
But the “Reverend President” – who along with 2016 presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton moved to politicize the tragedy before the blood in the church had even dried – couldn’t resist the opportunity to exploit the situation.
“For too long, we’ve been blind to the unique mayhem that gun violence inflicts upon this nation,” he said.
Really? What about the countless lives – including black lives – saved by the recent rise in gun ownership?
Obama also delved into racial issues, chiding not only “racial slurs” but also “the subtle impulse to call Johnny back for a job interview – but not Jamal.”
Wow. From grief … to gun control. And implied support for racial quotas.
How unfortunate …
We respect Obama’s right to weigh in on what he sees as the important issues in the aftermath of this tragedy. We’ve done so as well. Countless Americans have.
But in our humble opinion, this was neither the time nor the place to do so.
The “Holy City Massacre” failed to divide this state – or this country. It’s unfortunate Obama couldn’t have just kept that as his theme rather than embarking on a political discourse.

Having given several eulogies at funerals, it never occurred to me to put in a plug for gun control, naughty words, and job discrimination. Damn, next time I’ll try to add these issues into my eulogy.

Too bad he’s too busy to attend any white funerals of true heroes. Ten days ago Pinckney wasn’t even known by the vast majority of SC citizens. Now he’s dead, Obama and Biden drop everything to fly to Charleston. Obama appropriates $29 million to the nine families, not for what they did, but simply because they got shot. Wouldn’t it be nice if every murdered person’s family received $3 million for doing nothing more than dying? There are soldiers, cops, teachers and everyday good people who get murdered in this country every year and they’re nothing more than a statistic and are lucky to get the $500 social security death benefit. Why would they need to used it for funeral expenses, the Charlotte Panthers owner is footing those bills. He gave each family $10,000 for funeral expenses. SCE&G has donated $100,000 to the families and church, Wells Fargo has donated $100,000 to the families and church. Obama has donated $2.9 million to the families. These families just won the fucking lottery.

Okay, now I have to speak up. On April 17th my nephew and his friend were walking back to work from their lunch break and we’re approached by three black thugs with guns. My nephew told them they could have everything he had and begged them not to shoot him and told them he had little kids. His friend was also black, my nephew was white. The friend was untouched, my nephew was shot twice and lost his life for $18. In cash, a watch and cell phone. I am sick and tired of hearing about how black lives matter! I discovered this place while I was deployed in 2009. SC politics were not a real subject of interest to my fellow soldiers. Politics are not an appropriate topic in my current workplace, my wife isn’t interested in them either. Citizens is where I go to engage in political dialog. Both helicopters were fitted with external, 230-US-gallon (870 L) fuel tanks on sponsons mounted beside each side door with each tank emblazoned with large American flags. In addition to the flags on the fuel tanks, each helicopter was marked with American flags on each side door, on the nose, and on the belly. The lead Black Hawk was piloted by U.S. Army Captain Patrick McKenna, commander of the Eagle Flight detachment of six helicopters.[5]
At 09:21, the Black Hawks reported their entry into the no-fly zone by radio on the en route frequency to the AWACS en route controller, Lieutenant Joseph Halcli, and then landed six minutes later at the MCC. Halcli and his superior officer, Captain Jim Wang, the AWACS’s senior director, added “friendly helicopter” tags to their radar scopes, noted that both helicopters were displaying identification friend or foe (IFF) Mode I and Mode II signals, and then suspended the radar symbols after the Black Hawks disappeared from their scopes upon landing at the MCC at 09:24. Although the helicopters were squawking (signalling) the wrong IFF Mode I code for the no-fly zone (called the Tactical Area of Responsibility or TAOR), neither Wang nor Halcli informed the Black Hawk pilots of that (Both helicopters, however, were squawking the correct Mode II codes). Wang and Halcli also neglected to direct the Black Hawks to begin using the TAOR radio frequency instead of the en route frequency.[6]

Here is exactly what happened from my perspective. Fighter pilots are highly valued. It is/was very competitive. The pilots of the Huey did not have IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) turned on. So when AWACS made an effort to identify, naturally, no response. The gun ho fighter pilots, which accompany defenseless planes like AWACS, were impatient. They decided to make the call on their own. Before trial even took place, they were exonerated.
It is similar to Oliver North – save I am not familiar with his case personally.
Not to my knowledge. I personally knew many on that crew. I don’t keep in touch today — shame on me. However, last I know, It was AWACS, which we knew would take the brunt of the fall. They are disposable in comparison to fighter pilots.

Even though Obama has been President for over six years he still has the mindset of his street organizing days in Chicago. I’m going to post this for the umpteenth time, I did NOT vote for Obammer but from what I read he wrote a lot of that speech himself.
Personally I think he “murdered” Amazing Grace (he did a jam-up job with a Al Rev. Al Green song some years back…) but from what I saw afterwards when he read off the names of the victims and continued on he knocked it out of the park. I do not doubt his sincerity whatsoever.

Never have received a government handout, I have done my part though, every time I see an EBT card used at a store I quietly say “you’re welcome” hopefully loud enough for the user to hear me.

What the fuck is it with blacks and 5-6 hour funerals?
WTF is it with whites? I remember church services that started 6-7 a.m. and lasted til 1-2 p.m. and lunch afterwards, just before evening service.
One funny incident. Dogmatic friend pushing to get a parking spot. Buffet sold full. Almost killed someone getting that parking spot, but we got it! woo hoo! I was mad as a hornet. Ashamed even, but the dogmatic views won the day — until were were in line. A LONG buffet line that twisted and turned. Right behind us the couple that friend cut off. Not nicely, but at the risk of clipping cars.
I tried not to look. Too ashamed. They took the high ground. One was a pastor, the other a pastor’s wife and MUCH older. They declared we needed the spot more. Ohmigosh, could I hang my head lower?
Immediately, rude ass friend, decided because they were pastor and wife, we were in the wrong and somehow I played into that blame.

I was also delighted to see the Supreme Court of the United States Rebuke Haley and the General Assembly with its timely ObamaCare decision, effectively ending Haley’s ideological War on old people, sick people and children. And, finally, some Stranger did for the People of South Carolina what Gun Whore Haley would not do. The flag is Gone! Torn and desecrated, a fitting reflection on Columbia. But gone. Welcome New Day!!!
