CANDIDATE USES UNIVISION DEBATE TO ADVANCE TRADE, IMMIGRATION ISSUES …
|| By FITSNEWS || Donald Trump is using a corporate dispute between his company and the world’s largest Spanish-language television network to drive a debate on so-called “free trade” agreements and immigration – two issues which could conceivably fuel his 2016 “Republican” presidential primary aspirations.
Trump’s organization is at war with New York-based Univision – which caters to America’s growing Hispanic population.
At issue? Comments made by the billionaire real estate mogul and reality television mega-star earlier this month.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” Trump said. “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
Ouch …
A Univision executive – Alberto Ciurana – responded by likening Trump to 21-year-old white supremacist Dylann Storm Roof, the confessed perpetrator of last week’s “Holy City Massacre” in which nine black South Carolinians were murdered in their place of worship.

Anyway, Univision has used the dust-up as an excuse to ban Trump’s beauty pageant from its airwaves, prompting him to sue the company – and send its chief executive the proverbial sternly worded letter.
Why should you care?
Well Trump is using the back-and-forth to highlight his opposition to president Barack Obama‘s crony capitalist trade agenda – and his immigration policies.
“Please congratulate your Mexican Government officials for having made such outstanding trade deals with the United States. However, inform them that should I become President, those days are over,” Trump wrote in his letter to Univision. “We are bringing jobs back to the U.S. Also, a meaningful border will be immediately created, not the laughingstock that currently exists.”

Not only is Trump deftly positioning himself against Obama, he’s positioning himself against his establishment “Republican” rivals like Marco Rubio – who cast the deciding vote for Obama’s trade deal in the U.S. Senate.
We remain substantially less-than-sold on Trump’s “presidential timber,” but there’s no universe in which an aggressive anti-Obama stance on trade and immigration – one which comes at the expense of many of his GOP rivals – hurts his positioning in the fight for the “Republican” nomination.
UPDATE: Univision’s executive has issued an apology to Trump, but “The Donald” is having none of it. “Apology not accepted,” he said in a statement. Trump also said Univision – which is planning to host a 2016 presidential debate – “should not be allowed to host” such an event. “It is a total conflict of interest,” Trump said.

As an experiment, I stood with the “immigrants” in front of Home Depot for a couple months in Southern California. I’ve been to Tiajuana (where a great deal of them pass through the border) MANY times. I know exactly who is coming across the borders and it’s not Doctors, Lawyers & Indian Chiefs. It’s DEPENDENTS. Those “Good Jobs” you speak of are being priced down because of their immigration. In other words, what someone who spent money to go to trade school to do (construction, metal work, landscape) are getting done by those crossing the border for a great deal less than what they once paid. This comes after a period where those in charge were telling everyone, “Don’t worry, those new computers/machines won’t take your jobs”. Well the machines & computers DID eliminate a substantial amount of jobs and not only that, we’ve come to a point where an undergraduate degree is the bare minimum to even qualify for a decent job.
It has nothing to do with “who likes who”. It’s not about “hate”. It’s about the actual amount of jobs that are available in the United States. I’m sorry but it’s MEXICO that could upgrade their “SHARING OF THE WEALTH”…..They have MORE than enough resources to do that. But look at the quality of their neighborhoods vs. the United States. That’s why 1 dollar = 16 Peso’s. It’s NOT because Mexico can’t incentivize their own people to educate themselves & be constructive,,,,it’s simply because they don’t want to. And by allowing those people to purge to the United States simply means that Mexico will never change because the people have no incentive to do anything about it.
And one final note. The United States is 5 times larger than Mexico. Yet Mexico has a population of 122 million and the United States has a population of 318 million (and it would be 20 million less without “illegals”). That is another reason the United States can maintain a decent quality of life. You can come up with your own reasons as to why the people of Mexico have such a high population while not spreading the wealth around but creating life only to introduce it to a world of poverty is sick & twisted in and of itself.
There are only a few “hate” groups in the U.S. and their numbers are very small. But LOGIC will make anyone attempting to prevent the United States from turning into a third world country look as if they are “racist”. That’s COMPLETELY untrue. They only want to preserve what it took the last 200 years to build and not have it unravel because of those who have been careless in this world.

While I might agree with some of his broader stances on immigration, he has behaved like such an abrasive asshat that there’s no way in hell I’d vote for him. Someone as immature and hot-headed as he is has no place in our government. We’ve got too many immature, hot-headed asshats (in both parties) running things as it is.
I disagree…virtually everyone in both parties are agreeable types that rarely have emotion about anything but raising money and getting elected. They never get pissed off unless there are cameras around. They never get pissed off and do something for the people.

I have re-thought and like Trump all the more. A trump presidency will be messy, but will have real results.
