It’s amusing how desperate to keep the racial shit-stirring whipped up some folks are! Go do some quick research on how many hundreds of thousands of contacts there are between law enforcement and black folks every year, then drill down into that number to find out how many injury-producing uses of force there are. Then, subtract out the obviously extraneous data points (e.g., suspects who were shooting at officers when they were injured or killed) and you’ll find out there’s no epidemic of white officers needlessly killing black suspects. Of course, you won’t do this because the real data doesn’t likely interest you much. Shit-stirring on race evidently does, so stir on, amigo. It looks like Charleston’s not buying what you’re selling.
Actually, if you read through comments of other post concerning this issue, you begin to see a pattern with the “posters” doing the stirring. It is very obvious… they work their way down, trying to get a rise out of people. Same tiresome arguments. If you look at the race on race crime rates, one would think the education needs to start at home.

On this thread you are right, but I’ve seen numerous liberals elsewhere bemoaning the fact that Roof was not roughed up or tasered, so it’s good to address if for no other reason than to get ahead of those who are serious.
Using some simple math, and FBI statistics of 2014 murders, 431 whites were killed by a black assailant, 193 blacks were killed by white assailants. Now at face value, that is seemingly shocking. However, when taken into context of the populations of each group, the odds of a white person being killed by a black person is 0.0001928%. The likelihood of a black person being killed by a white person is 0.0004958%. Two things here. Clearly not an epidemic. Second, can anyone recall to elementary school math (preferably pre-Common Core) and tell me which percentage is higher? If you selected black killed by white – you are correct. If you selected whites killed by blacks, you are wrong. In either case, the likelihood is so small, that in fact, it’s barely worth mentioning – let along killing 9 innocent people in a church over it.
Indicator that this story is winding down. But in Charleston, more statues are being vandalized and call across the nation is being made to remove all statues that honor slave owners.
Regardless, it is amazing how they knew he had murdered 9 people in cold blood, was probably armed, and yet they all put their guns away before he ever even gets out of the car.
Take another look at the video and notice a fifth officer come into the frame from the right at 1:23. Big and black. I suspect that he did not put his gun away until Roof was out of the car and braced for a search.
