Ferguson’s “Rent-A-Mob” Didn’t Get Paid

THE BUSINESS OF “SPONTANEOUS OUTRAGE”

|| By FITSNEWS || Remember Ferguson?  Of course you do … it was the event which made post-racial America “racial” again.  A spontaneous outpouring of rage against the oppression against the unjust killing of … errr, ummm … check that.

Anyway, it turns out some of Ferguson angst was about as “spontaneous” as the 2012 terrorist attack on a U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya.

Earlier this month the group Millennial Activists United organized a sit-in at the offices of Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE) – a former member of the taxpayer-subsidized “ACORN” organization.

MORE has been subsidized by liberal financier George Soros, who according to one report “gave at least $33 million in one year to support already-established groups that emboldened the grass-roots, on-the-ground activists in Ferguson.”

Like a big government social welfare program, though, the money doesn’t seem to be going where it was intended …

According to the protesters demanding their cut, MORE “created a joint account in which national donors from all over the world have donated over $150,000 to sustain the movement” but then didn’t give any (or enough) of that money to “the poor black people of this movement.”

Well, well …

There’s even a social media campaign – #CutTheCheck – urging these liberal organizers to pay up.

Sheesh …

Look, we don’t begrudge protesters getting paid.  That’s what the free market is all about.  And black lives do matter.  Because they are lives … and all lives matter.  But there’s a big difference between real outrage and a “Rent-A-Mob.”  Just as there’s a big difference between the shooting of Michael Brown and the shooting of Walter Scott.

Oh, and it goes without saying no taxpayer money should ever go to liberal front groups subsidizing professional protests … just like no taxpayer money should ever go to liberal front groups subsidizing refugee resettlement.

No one in the political landscape works for free. The “astro-turf”, the consultants, media buyers, etc., you name it and they are making bank.

Every once in a while a reform minded soul will step out and try to make a difference. That event happens about 2 minutes before the “establishment” pounces on the reformer.

There simply is no infrastructure for honest change in government or politics. It is all driven by monied interest with the help of the left and right wingers.

Well said. Until the “consultant fees to SC politicians and highly placed bureaucrats are disclosed we will always have a stats quo, establishment government.

Fox News probably promised to pay them – they got zillions of hours of viewership out of Ferguson and still run re-plays daily.
Not to mention all of their bleached blonde female anchors clutching at their cleavage in fright while showing reels and reels of “The Savages” . . . .(and probably moist between their thighs at the same time . . .)

Sound like you have a underlying factor. You do not like the truth and you are a very jealous person. A simple and ordinary Liberal I suppose!

You forgot the part about how it’s all George W. Bush’s fault.

The only difference between the shooting of Michael Brown and the shooting of Walter Scott is that the brave officer who took Mr. Scott’s life had the misfortune of having his actions captured on video. Otherwise, he’d still be wearing the shield, carrying a government issued gun, tazer and mace and he’d still be drawing his government paycheck.

There is no difference between Scott and Brown in one respect. They both were criminals. That is the real Common Denominator in all these cases. America has started making victims out of Criminals. I do not condone the killing of folks for crimes that a life is not in Jeopardy but lets us take a look at the real cause for once.

And the officers in both cases (and many others) took it up themselves to be judge, jury and executioner.
