His PAC just raised $100 million. He just recruited John Boehner’s spokesman. He has recruited all Christie’s doners. The establishment is behind him. He graduated college!! He’s conducting Spanish language interviews. Hey, he’s running, he’ll get the nomination, and he may or may not beat Hillary. As we saw in 2012 with the GOP field, Iowa was insignificant in selecting the nominee – and by his not participating it actually reduces the legitamacy of the winner. You can say – “Congratulations – you won the nutjob caucus.” And since Walker is obviously going to win Iowa anyway – why even bother. Just move on to NH. This primary run for the GOP will probably go through end of April before there is a winner.
And I have no misconseption that Hillary somehow wins. The power in party after two terms typically loses the White House. Rarely does it retain it. Only happened two times in the last 80 years, FDR to Truman, Reagan to Bush 1. It’s the legacy race. I will predict this, turnout will be really low.
