A NEW NATIONAL HOLIDAY?

How come? Easy: It’s the day after Mother’s Day, and men who fail to demonstrate the proper appreciation for their wife’s maternal efforts are apparently paying the price.
Call it the free market at work, people … as AshleyMadison.com saw a 442 percent increase in new female members in the aftermath of last year’s holiday.
The New York Post ran an item from one such woman, a 42-year-old New Jersey executive who noted her man “hadn’t even thought to buy me flowers, let alone jewelry” in appreciation of her efforts on behalf of him and their two children.
According to the woman, her 48-year-old husband was “always tired and unmotivated.”
“We have sex about once a week, though it’s hardly passionate,” she wrote. “I never orgasm and just go through the motions.”
Whoa.
So what’s a girl to do? Cheat, apparently …
“The day after Mother’s Day, I set up a profile on the cheaters’ website Ashley Madison,” the woman wrote. “I’d had a bit to drink and was feeling flirtatious, so I wrote how I was a voluptuous brunette looking to have an affair.”
And she did … several affairs, actually.
The woman’s takeaway from the experience?
“Mothers need to pamper themselves and have fun elsewhere if they don’t feel appreciated at home,” she wrote.
Ouch …
Guys: We get that you’re tired. We get that times are tight and work (as well as disposable income for flowers and jewelry) is hard to come by. But clearly a little appreciation (in and out of the bedroom) is in order.
You never know how steep the price of neglect could wind up being …

You miss the most important point. It’s the hubby’s job to provide “jewelry” for Mommy – apparently in this woman’s world. Hey, wasn’t Carlie Fioroni a female executive in New Jersey once? Yeah, I think she lucently was.
Mika got a little too ropey and hard looking there for a while, after she started hitting the gym too much. Stopped wearing her hooker boots, too. She was the only thing about Morning Joe worth watching. So when she lost that luster, I stopped watching it entirely. (Still kinda pissed about Imus, after all.)

Concerning Imus:
I actually think his show is the best of the morning shows on DirecTV and his wife IS smoking hot to be 50+
What pissed you off about Imus? He comes across as a crotchity old bastard but he has his moments and his staff and others on the show make the show worth watching (most of the time anyway).
I switch between shows while having my morning coffee and listen to them on the way to work via satellite radio.

I’m not pissed AT Imus, I’m pissed at what the assholes at that network did to him, at the behest of Hillary Clinton and Al Sharpton. He had already apologized for the ill-advised “nappy-headed-hoes” comment, and even gone on Sharpton’s radio show to do it. They just couldn’t let it be a “teachable moment.”
Oh no. That’s because Hillary (who he’s always aptly dubbed “Satan”) was still pissed as hell about his comments when he was hosting one of those big deal banquets, referring to his affairs when the First Couple was sitting just yards away from him.. Well, along with being called “Satan”, most likely. Not content to let him make restitution so way and seek to redeem himself (for daring to be a shock jock, which is what they’d hired him for) they did all they could to destroy his career — a move that, thankfully, failed.
Now, I’m sure there was more to the story. That one highly attractive news anchor (can’t think of her name) hated him, and the feeling was mutual. So one day he calls her “fat-ass.” She joined in on the pogram against him, and rallied much support.
Sure, he often took things way too far. But in general, the show was brilliant and hilarious, with great musical guests. I followed it to RFD and to FNC, and now can get it here on the radio.
Yeah, I’m an Imus fan. And Deidra is one fine woman, all the way.

Never listened to him when he was in his prime but as posted I think his show is the best morning show on DirecTV. Always has good musical guests, book interviews and such.
I used to like Morning Joe more than now but Mika is definately worth looking at and from time to time they have some good spots. Joe talks over everybody a lot of the times but that’s just him.
Speaking of DJ’s – did you ever listen to “Murphy in the Morning” when he was in Charlotte back in the late 70’s – mid 80’s?
“Murph” had absolutely the best morning radio in the Carolinas – TOPS!!!

Never a negative story about a two mommy family. Publicity for a previously unknown website and suspiciously round numbers – “a 500 percent spike”. I doubt there is any factual data to back this article, though I’m sure many mothers are neglected on Mother’s day.
