I wonder if Will or Will’s staff will get a raise this year?

I wonder if Will has been protecting any of the commentators from subpoenas or indictments? From a lot of what I’ve read here it could be justified! Give ’em all a raise….

Most healthy men get a raised staff, the fun part is deciding how to best put it to good use.

Why give a raise to the head of an institution where a professional “writer” couldn’t manage to learn the difference between “lie” and “lay”?

The former SC State Prez couldn’t even get a decent ride. Racial discrimination raises its ugly head.

Since when is a Chrysler 300 a “decent ride”? Nothing more than a poor man’s fake Bentley.

Government institutions are 100% opposite to fully private ones in that the incompetent workers get raises and promotions as policy.

While fully private sector workers of dubious quality do on occasion get promoted, it’s usually short lived because there is accountability to the bottom line.

There is no “bottom line” for the most part when it comes to taxpayer money, just a question as to how to get more without regard to profit, competition, etc.

In most states and all of the Federal Government it is next to impossible to fire a person. Unions in government are a farce.

You should see the dregs that permeate the layers of middle management in state agencies. Permeate is the right word because they do not constitute an absolute majority but they are abundant and widespread. The best ones are simply cowards and cringe in obedience to the more malevolent higher managers. The worst are skillful liars and manipulators who effect the whims and wishes of those higher risen, edging for their jobs eventually. Selfservers all. The needs of the paying public bother them not a whit. Their main job quite often is simply to stifle and suppress diligent staff.

Shit is going to start hitting the fan. More and more citizens of South Carolina are starting to HATE these public servants for ripping them off. Charismatic psychopaths or not. Judgment day will eventually come for them all.

When do we get some more pleasant news?

When is Metts going to prison? Who’s next in the indictments?

Are you a state employee and want a bonus? Go to work for the Small Business Development Corporation. Their budget is “hidden” in university funding. These people get bonuses plus lavish conferences. Only catch is that if you rat ’em out they will fire you!
