LONGSHOT GIVES IT A GO …

|| By FITSNEWS || Former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina officially entered the “Republican” presidential primary this week – becoming the fifth announced candidate on the GOP side.

“I am running for president,” Fiorina tweeted Monday morning.

Shortly after that, the 60-year-old Austin, Texas native appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America t0 flesh out her reasons for running.

“I think I’m the best person for the job because I understand how the economy actually works,” Fiorina said on the show.  “I understand the world; who’s in it.”

Ok …

Fiorina is the only female seeking the GOP nod, which – as we’ve seen – has made her an effective critic of presumed Democratic nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton.  In fact Fiorina took Clinton to task in her announcement, saying the former first lady/ senator/ secretary of state is “clearly not trustworthy.”

“She has not been transparent about a whole set of things that matter,” she said.

That’s an understatement …

Fiorina has never held elected office.  She was defeated soundly by liberal U.S. senator Barbara Boxer in a 2010 race for one of California’s U.S. Senate seats.   Fiorina – who gave $6.5 million to her own campaign – has previously supported establishment “Republicans” like U.S. senator John McCain.  In fact she campaigned for McCain in 2008, defending his selection of Sarah Palin as vice presidential nominee and attacking Palin’s critics as “sexists.”

Fiorina joins retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, U.S. senator Ted Cruz, U.S. senator Rand Paul and U.S. senator Marco Rubio as an announced “Republican” candidate.  Numerous other GOP contenders – including early 2016 frontrunners Jeb Bush and Scott Walker – are expectedly to formally enter the race in the coming months.

On the Democratic side, Clinton and socialist independent U.S. senator Bernie Sanders are the only two announced candidates.

Does Fiorina stand a chance?

Probably not.  In fact her bid appears to be less about winning and more about positioning – with sources close to her campaign telling FITS she’s eyeing a possible vice presidential nod (or a cabinet appointment within a “Republican” administration).

Still, her gender should ensure that her campaign receives disproportionate press coverage (especially on anti-Clinton pronouncements) and Fiorina has shown herself to be an adept messenger.  Also she’s got a compelling personal narrative as a breast cancer survivor.

On the “minus” side?  Her 2010 defeat and stormy tenure at Hewlett Packard.

Anyway, to learn more about Fiorina’s candidacy, visit her official campaign website.

Damn. More people receiving health care. Can you believe it?
Maybe rather than running around liking freaking Chicken Little pissing your pants you could move to the “solution” part of the show which is a plan to have some medical staff help educate and link patients to the appropriate level of care. If that resource is scare, then do something to help expand it. Pants pissing and jumping up and down yelling “I told you so” only confirms the belief that you aren’t interested in solutions.

Three-quarters of emergency physicians say they’ve seen ER patient visits surge since Obamacare took effect — just the opposite of what many Americans expected would happen.

A poll released today by the American College of Emergency Physicians shows that 28% of 2,099 doctors surveyed nationally saw large increases in volume, while 47% saw slight increases. By contrast, fewer than half of doctors reported any increases last year in the early days of the Affordable Care Act.

Really? You must have forgotten that it was Carson who was most recently the one being called a bigoted homophobe. You see me calling him an ineffective menace? No, because it’s actually a badge of honor to be called that by liberals. As usual, you have completely missed the point and shown yourself to be the idiot and menace you are. An enabler is someone who thinks conservatives should tone down the message in a way that avoids looking like your “racist”, “sexist”, “bigot”, or “homophobe”. That’s not what I’m talking about and you know it. I’ve explained it to you probably ten times now and you keep coming back with the same nonsense about being “soft” on liberals and “enabler”. Calling you out for your liberal tactics and methodologies, all the while proclaiming to hate liberals is all there is to it. It simply means you are an ineffective menace whose only purpose is to make a mockery of yourself.

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 4:52 pm

You are indirectly shilling for liberal Republicans by acting like a menace who is supposedly “conservative”. You don’t advance any type of philosophy, just a bunch of menacing attacks. It would be one thing if you were attacked for your conservatism, but you’re not. You are attacked for being a deranged and profane menace, nothing else. Then when you get attacked, you exclaim yourself to be a martyr for the positions you take, even you don’t ever actually expound any “positions”. You then become nothing more than a walking, menacing contradiction. Find a new hobby. You are a loser at this one.

Cocktail Hour May 4, 2015 at 5:23 pm

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 5:29 pm

Jeb Bush is not a conservative. W. was at least a quasi-conservative. Not sure what your point is anyways. We have a choice at this point. We are not locked into a liberal candidate, but apparently you don’t care if that’s what we have. You think that as long as Obama is out, all will be well. No doubt Obama leaving office will be a positive, but nothing is going to get meaningfully better until we have a real conservative in the WH.

GrandTango May 4, 2015 at 5:47 pm

I KNEW IT!!!!….You just defined yourself. You CANNOT Directly answer the question.

Be it unemployment, energy management, national security, race relations, patriotism, taxes, American pride, justice, religious freedom, equal rights, spending, courts …W was DEMONSTRABLY better, BY FAR…And Obama is about as BAD as anyone can EVER be at president…

But if a conceding, weak-spined moderate, like you, says that (provided you even believe it) …the people you are trying to placate will slap you so F*#king hard, it will shatter your teeth…And you live in mortal fear of rejection by pop culture idiots….

You are WORTHLESS. You stand for nothing, except begging to be accepted by corrupt, evil and failed people…

If the GOP does not FLUSH you with the same force w/ which we MUST flush the dangerous Democrat Party…our country will continue to swirl down the toilet….that people like have us swirling in…

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 6:01 pm

You didn’t really ask a question. You tried to sneak George W into the conversation when he was never part of the discussion. You can’t directly refute the point that you are nothing more than a profane menace who doesn’t care if liberals get elected. If Satan is in office and the best replacement we have is Judas, what good in the long run will that do, especially when we have options that will actually get us somewhere. You are the “conceding, weak-spined moderate” here, and the fact that you want to pin that on me just shows the problem in arguing with you. You can’t stay on topic to save your life. You are the one who stands for nothing because all you do is go on deranged rants about vague generalities. You are never specific about anything. If you think Jeb is going to allow this country to reach its full potential, then argue that case. I don’t care that he will be better than Obama. I don’t care about simply being “better” than what Obama has made us. Like I said, if you want Jeb and think he will do what needs to be done to tear down the destruction liberalism has wrought, then argue that case. Otherwise, save your diatribes for your liberal contrarians on here.

GrandTango May 4, 2015 at 6:08 pm

Who is/was a better president Obama or ‘W’???

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 6:24 pm

Obama has been LIGHT YEARS better!

Come on, you idiot, what about anything I’ve said makes you think my answer would actually be Obama? You’re at least not being such a menace in asking but it’s still a pointless question. W is not in this discussion, but the fact that you think you need to ask me this question shows you don’t care about advancing conservatism, only in being personally validated. Nothing I’ve ever should give you the necessity to ask. How about you make your case for Jeb? And, go….

GrandTango May 4, 2015 at 8:04 pm

You sure do ‘hem’ and ‘haw’ a lot…and still have not said ‘W’ was Hands-down, no questions asked. BETTER than Obama in EVERY conceivable way…
An Obama-ite – or a moderate – (like you) would rather die than disavow a Black Democrat god…and give “W” the credit he deserves.
The media has told you EVERYTHING but the truth…and you don’t have the sense, or the guts, to admit W was BETTER…and Obama is THE worst since Carter…

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 8:20 pm

‘W’ was Hands-down, no questions asked. BETTER than Obama in EVERY conceivable way. Your reading comprehension sucks out loud if you can’t gather that from my previous post. Now that we’ve gotten the pointless part out of the way:

You’re the one in favor of Jeb Bush and yet I’m the moderate??? LMAO!!! You’re the one really hemming and hawing here. You can’t stay on the original point to begin with and now we’re down to a nonsensical debate about whether Obama or W was/is the better president. Trust me, old man, I can do a far better job of making a real historical case for W over Obama in any debating forum. You and your schtick wouldn’t know how to make a case to a rational observer because all you do is traffic in rhetoric that liberals typically use, with your profane and deranged diatribes. Your idiotic point of presuming I “would rather die than disavow a Black Democrat god” is case in point, particularly in light of the fact that I’ve proven myself to be the true conservative while you’re nothing more than a poser.

fc May 4, 2015 at 8:33 pm

You are a ‘true conservative’? LMAO!!! So said Boz/Buz-until we found his love of socialism-in his own words.

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 8:40 pm

Let me know when you find my “love of socialism”, okay? You must be another conservative poser. You know who the enemy is, but you don’t have any rational solutions to combat them or understand that it has to be the right Republican to reverse the damage. People like you are the reason why we’ll never be able to lower the corporate tax rate or institute a flat tax or actually defeat Islamic-fascism. I guess as long as you’re okay with mediocrity.

GrandTango May 4, 2015 at 8:45 pm

You worry way too much about me. Even if you ever scored a point against me…it will not change who, and what, you are…or raise your level of intellect….

First, you throw a little “even if” clause in there to try and distance yourself from the fact that you didn’t make one relevant point, not to mention the fact that I answered you straight up despite the fact that it was nothing more than a subject changing question. Second, you try to throw off your losing argument by exclaiming that I am “worried” about you. Nothing but a “hem” and a “haw” there, if you ask me. Even if I was “worried” about you, does that mean you are right and I am wrong? Come on, old man, you can’t come up with a better diversion than that? That’s way too easy to see through. Not only that, but it’s even before your more predictable “who and what you are” clap trap. I’ll just take it all as admission of defeat. Enjoy mediocrity with Jeb.

Like I said: you worry about me too much. This site is about politics…not attacking me, and the people you hate….which is about the only thing any of you ever really offer…

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 9:22 pm

Right, because you NEVER attack anybody.

What you call an “attack” on my part is nothing more than citing your propensity for juvenile behavior typically reserved for liberals. Only a thin skinned liberal would call anything I’ve said an “attack” If you want to borrow from the liberals’ playbook, then so be it, but don’t pretend to hate them when you do. Not that you care, because this response is simply another one of your obfuscations. Maybe you should quit “worrying” so much about FITS if you want to be consistent. It’s just a little blog with no influence on the political landscape, yet you’re on it 24/7.

Daniel Liberal Boome gives himself away as an Alinski type by calling you a ‘menace’ for merely expressing your opinion.

GrandTango May 4, 2015 at 8:43 pm

BINGO….

I think it’s Syn Twist…under the impression that he/she can talk others into being McCain moderates – and abandon Conservatism- as the best route (regardless of how many times it has failed)….then accuse the party with which he/she is arguing…of being a moderate…

FITS does EXACTLY the same thing…

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 9:15 pm

The only one who has admitted the possibility of needing to abandon “conservatism” in order to defeat the Democrats is you. You have already admitted that you are okay with Jeb.

fc May 4, 2015 at 9:54 pm

I figured that when when Syn Twist was defending the rioters in Baltimore last Monday and comparing them to Washington, Jefferson etc…

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 10:34 pm

Yeah and let me know when you see me say anything remotely like that, too. Which will be never. Want to specify anything you have heard me say thus far that could even be slightly construed as liberal?

Daniel Boome May 4, 2015 at 9:12 pm

Wrong. If that were the case, everybody would be a menace. GT is a menace because he does nothing but post deranged and profane diatribes that contain no substance. That’s typical of liberals, yet he claims to hate liberals.

YOU and your redneck friends posted on Nikki Haley’s FB page when the president came to town. You don’t get to have it both ways, you hypocrite. You cannot be a selective racist. Dr. Carson, while he has no chance and shouldn’t turn anyone down, does not want your support. He doesn’t need a bigot fighting his cause. So zip it.
