Every other day they wear moneysucker suits
I was thinking of a different kind of sucker suit, one that would be more USC friendly.
Seersucker always reminded me of a shyster lawyer or politician. Never owned one or had the desire to. I normally wear coveralls when I do real work.
Owned 3-4 of them over the years – you don’t know what you’re missing if you have to “dress up” for work. You need a pair of bucks to go with them.
Also own four pairs of overalls in various states of decay and two pair of coveralls

No ” man card” involved here, just a simple “don’t knock it till you tried it”. I worked for “Big Blue” here in town for 7-8 years and had to wear a suit and tie. Easter to Labor Day, the seer sucker was sported quite frequently, it’s just too damn hot to wear wool.
Haven’t had to wear a suit much in the last fifteen years but I still have a standard blue and white one hanging in the closet.
You left Big Blue to go take it from Big Green? My, you are man of many colors. What’s next?
Over the last twenty years I have dabbled in politics and had to” dress up” on many occasions. I prefer a black or brown pin stripe suit. It look more mature and serious than the seersucker. RR had a thing for brown pin stripes. My favorite also. No matter if I’m in coveralls or a tux, I always wear black Justin cowboy boots. That’s just me. On June 26, 1970 I took off my combat boots and threw them in a dumpster in Denver and haven’t laced a boot since.
Justin’s are now pretty much my standard “dress up shoe” though mine are brown.
Wife – “Honey, you bought a new pair of shoes. They look so cool! Where did you get them?”
Hubby – “I bought them from my drug dealer. I don’t know what he laced them with, but I’ve been tripping all day!”
Cue Tim Allen grunting (from Tool Time). REAL MEN do REAL WORK in REAL MEN’S CLOTHES with REAL TOOLS, grunt grunt.
Obviously an extremely slow news day.
Palease don’t try to pull off a seersucker suit if you are over 30!!!
Why? Who made you God of all things aesthetic? I suppose Gregory Peck or Matlock, referenced above, were just faux iconic to you. Here’s an idea, sign up to be a sandman in some kind of Logan’s Run futuristic world.
If T-Rav could carry off a wearing a white suit and bow tie, he could wear seersucker.

I get numerous complements on it when I wear it.
