HALEY ADMINISTRATION ON BOARD WITH SHADY PROJECT …
|| By FITSNEWS || S.C. governor Nikki Haley‘s scandal ravaged Department of Social Services (SCDSS) approved a controversial “refugee resettlement” scam in the South Carolina Upstate – and has been expending taxpayer funds on health screenings, employment services and other government services related to the project.
Unbelievable, right?
Earlier this month, FITS exposed this resettlement project as nothing but a taxpayer-subsidized racket supported by elements of the far left – a racket preying on impressionable evangelicals.
This week, U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy jumped into the fray – sending a sternly worded letter to the U.S. State Department demanding a halt to the resettlement pending answers to a series of questions
One of the questions Gowdy asked?
“Which officials/employees of the South Carolina State government reviewed and approved the resettlement agency’s proposal? When was such approval given?”
Ruh-roh, governor … sounds like somebody’s got some explaining to do.
The pressure is ramping up, too. S.C. Rep. Donna Hicks – one of the first state lawmakers to demand an investigation into the resettlement scam – announced her intention to raise the volume level on the issue via a town hall in Spartanburg.
“I am holding a town hall meeting in the next few weeks on this matter,” Hicks wrote, adding that popular Upstate radio host Bob McLain had agreed to co-host the event.
Hicks is also traveling to Washington, D.C. later this week to gather additional information on the controversial proposal.
As we noted in our initial report, “previous resettlement campaigns couched as ‘evangelical’ efforts have in reality been front groups for liberal campaigns like the National Immigration Forum – a group that’s received funding from organizations affiliated with billionaire liberal financier George Soros.
“Faith-based compassion is a wonderful thing, but just as one’s religious beliefs shouldn’t be imposed on another without consent … neither should taxpayer obligations based on those beliefs,” we wrote.
SCDSS has been an unmitigated disaster since Haley took office in 2011 – most notably as it relates to these instances in which vulnerable children were repeatedly placed in abusive homes.
Beyond that, there’s the agency’s ongoing failure with regard to the state’s child support enforcement database – or its total lack of follow-through regarding a food stamp waiver touted by Haley in her so-called “war on fat.” There are also questionable consultant payments and allegations of cooked books at its “welfare to work” program (as well as its food stamp system).

Of course Haley has defended the agency to the hilt … as we suspect she will do in this case.
But with state and federal lawmakers demanding answers, she could soon find herself embroiled in a major scandal.

To pay for all of these millions of “refugees” ( invading illegal aliens), taxes has to be raised. Taxes are needed to pay for their Section 8 Housing, their EBT (food stamps), there medical provisions when necessary, the schooling for their children (and the parent(s) normally breed like Jack Rabbits.
