|| By FITSNEWS || We knew U.S. Senator Marco Rubio didn’t exactly score big when he “landed” former president George W. Bush’s South Carolina political consultant, J. Warren Tompkins.
(For more on that “news in name only,” click HERE).
But we figured Rubio’s Palmetto State campaign would benefit from retaining the services of Push Digital, the national political-tech shop run by South Carolina’s own Wesley Donehue.
Apparently that wasn’t the case, though …
According to Breitbart, Rubio’s 2016 digital rollout (managed by Push) was a debacle … one openly mocked by the candidate’s “Republican” rivals. Rubio’s website repeatedly crashed in the aftermath of his big announcement, experiencing “widespread failures” and invoking harsh criticism from industry experts.
“Any tech company running a presidential candidate website that doesn’t work perfectly post-announcement should never get another job again,” one noted.
It was an especially bittersweet moment for Rubio, who has been attempting to portray himself as a candidate of the future – at the expense of Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton and his fellow Florida “Republican” Jeb Bush.
Donehue’s response to the botched rollout?
“I don’t like to redirect blame but the server company crapped the bed,” he said.
Hmmmm …
(Guess Rubio’s team is commenting on process stories after all).
Obviously this website isn’t too keen on Rubio’s candidacy … so the success or failure of his website wasn’t a make or break proposition for us. And we know firsthand how frustrating web problems can be. But for a “modern” candidate trying to break into the top tier of the GOP field to have his website crash at the one moment people were actually paying attention to it?
Yeah … not good.

In the words of our great Grand Tango – OMG LMAO. And this is the guy who wants to repeal and replace Obamacare.
… Mmmmm … we are long past “replacing” that Gruberized Central Planning hose-up.
All of the Eight are ready to kill it off entirely … and the IRS too.
For the record, Marco Rubio as Speak of the House in Florida, passed the creation of an insurance exchange. They allocated a ton of money for it, built it. To date, it’s been a whopping success by GOP standards. An estimated 40 people have accessed insurance through the Rubio exchange. 2.1 million accessed insurance through the Federal exchange. And my guess is, they’ll never repeal and replace. Messing with insurance is a political loser – just ask the Dems in 2010. The GOP will never touch that middle rail.
Millions are finding out today they have to pay back part of their ACA subsidy…many over $5,000…IRS garnishments and liens on the way…
Sorry – that’s incorrect. The average tax liability for those receiving the subsidy is about $750, and is deducted from their tax refund. So whilest their refunds may be reduced, they are in fact paying that with their money, as designed. Since most getting the subsidy are low income (and therefore benefit from the earned income tax credits Republicans so decry as unfair) – they are in effect paying for the benefit they receive. So next time I suggest you do some real research before speaking as I am certain you are not wanting to pass on false and misleading information. Am I right?
They won’t have too.SCOTUS will kill it…
“… To date, it’s been a whopping success by GOP standards. …”
If you define “whopping success” as every bum on the Fla. beach gets to have his local welfare office pay the BummerCare fines and fees, then I suppose that counts.
“I don’t like to redirect blame but the server company crapped the bed,” he said.
Not exactly Harry S Truman’s, “The buck stops here.”
Of course not a possibility that the former head of the NSA/CIA/Alphabet Soup/.., Jeb’s Daddy, might have sicked some retired, Gruberment hacker wannabes on to Rubio’s web site interruptus?
Nahhhh …
So many great Republican candidates to chose from and the Dims only have hilLIEry. LOL We need a young energetic conservative warrior to take on the old worn out ideas that have brought our once great country down.
Dems usually wait till later in the year to announce… probably because dumber folks don’t have a great memory, but vote.
So funny…. Well this guy spends a lot of time doing 2 things. 1-telling everyone how great he is and 2-bragging about what beer he just drank. Rubio won’t make it to the SC primary with this kind of talent. I’ve heard this firm has a keg onsite. Lol.
