Well, to be honest, she had some help from me. HP wasn’t smart enough to stay out of a price war over the clone LaserJet cartridges I reverse engineered for Lexmark. For every dollar of profit they cost Lexmark, they lost $20, and I still don’t think they have figured this out.

HP should have never bought Compaq. Compaq was trash from the end of the 386 era forward. All of HPs consumer stuff is/was re-branded Compaq junk after the merger. Their professional line is good stuff though. I love the Elitebook and Probook lines.
The profits in the printer business (as with the typewriter business back in the day) comes from the sale of supplies. It is also known as the “Gillette Model”. Not a big profit margin for selling a printer, but good margins on cartridges, until you get into a price war with a minor competitor that hurts you more than them. There were a few years in the 70s when IBM was grateful for all the typewriter ribbons coming out of Lexington.

If the best the Repugnuts have to offer is accusing Hillary of doing what the RNC helped Bush do, they are doomed. There is no evidence Hillary deleted any emails except personal emails. No politician has ever been asked for personal emails.
Bush, Cheney, Rove and White House staff admitted they put government work emails on the RNC server. When they were asked to produce those emails in connection with an investigation of the unlawful firing of US Attorneys, the RNC said the emails had been erased and could not be recovered. 62 million of them. So I guess we need to arrest Bush and company for all the lying, cheating, and stealing they did with the aid of the Republican National Committee. But that is just par for the course for Republicans. Hypocrisy, lying, stealing and corruption has been their stock in trade for a couple of decades now.
The public will see this for what it is. Another Republican and Fake News Network, fake scandal, designed to distract from the fact the Republican party is wholly corrupt and run by billionaires out to screw the American public.

But the problem with that strategy is the people they seek to engender hatred of and who motivate the racist, sexists and religious extremist to vote Republican, are becoming involved in politics and defending themselves, the way Black people did in the 50s and 60s.
