VOUCHING FOR INCOMPETENCE: NOT KOSHER

Why do we bring it up then? Because last spring S.C. governor Nikki Haley – in a desperate (and ultimately unsuccessful) bid to save Koller’s job – assailed Koller’s critics as anti-semitic. Were they? Of course not. They were simply tired of Koller’s incompetence … and the dead children that resulted from it.
Anyway …
Haley’s stubborn refusal to fire Koller (in fact she repeatedly refused to accept her resignation) baffled observers given the flood of controversy surrounding the agency.
Of course nothing about Koller’s tenure in South Carolina ever seemed quite right …
“We went across this country to find the best person that we could find,” Haley bragged in introducing Koller to the local media in 2011.
Of course we later learned Koller was pushed on Haley by the Republican Governors’ Association – which shopped her resume around after Koller’s boss in Hawaii, former governor Linda Lingle, left office.
The governor praised Koller effusively for her work in Hawaii – even though it was later revealed she incurred a federal lawsuit over issues with the state’s food stamp program (problems which would soon replicate on a much larger scale in South Carolina).
“The list of rock stars grows,” Haley boasted. “(Koller) brings a true amount of experience in a time when South Carolina needs it, and a lot of reform and conservatism at a time when South Carolina wants it.”
Koller brought only disaster, though … and not just related to child welfare issues (which were the focus of a damning legislative audit).
There was also the agency’s failure to create a long-overdue child support enforcement database – or its total lack of follow-through regarding a food stamp waiver touted by Haley in her so-called “war on fat.” Additionally, there were questionable consultant payments and allegations of cooked books at its “welfare to work” program (as well as its food stamp system).

So … why did the RGA push Koller so hard?
Well, it turns out this wasn’t the only political pressure being applied on Haley. In addition to the RGA urging her to hire Koller, sources tell FITS that Lingle – a leading luminary in the Republican Jewish Coalition – was leaning on Haley’s consultant Jon Lerner (who is Jewish).
The lobbying paid off … at least for Koller. And it may be paying off for her again … despite the wasteland she created in the Palmetto State.
This weekend, our website published an exclusive story about Koller being touted as a possible candidate for appointment by the newly elected governor of Illinois, Bruce Rauner. Specifically, sources in Illinois have contacted us – and others in South Carolina – indicating Koller is in the running to be the next director of the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS).
At first we thought this was just another example of “Republicans” looking out for their own … but now the connections are starting to fall into place.
Rauner is … wait for it … Jewish. Not only that, his 2014 gubernatorial campaign was advised by (and paid big bucks to) … wait for it … Jon Lerner. And if those connections weren’t enough, two months ago Rauner hired … wait for it … Lingle. That’s right, the former Hawaii governor is serving as a “senior advisor” in his administration.
No wonder Koller is in the running …
Frankly, we don’t care what they do in Illinois. As long as Koller is never in a position of authority in South Carolina (or over South Carolinians), then we really don’t care who hires her. It’s just interesting to follow the puppeteering going on behind the scenes on her behalf …

Yesterday was Palm Sunday, and sitting in Mass listening as the readers went over the events of Holy Week, I was surprised of how much those events were very similar in a way to Bibi and his latest antics. The Romans, playing the role of the Republican Party questioned the Jews, why should Jesus die? He has not committed any crime. So they ran to Boehner, I mean Pilate, and said, give us Barabas, so that the Deal may be killed. And privately Boehner questioned why. But realizing that it was an election year the next year, and needing to appease the priests, Boehner, I mean Pilate, agreed to free Barabas the spying one. Of course as history shows, even after the Deal was killed, Boehner, I mean Pilate, and the Republicans, I mean the Romans, grew weary over the years of the Priests demands, and in 97AD they turned on the Israelites, and expelled them to the corners of the known world. But hey, it’s Holy Week, when good Baptists and other Protestants gather to celebrate the Jew’s murder of Jesus, and then stand behind Bibi and his Likud Party, glad that Likud, I mean the Priests, were successful in killing the Deal, I mean, Jesus. Odd indeed.

The problem isn’t whether Koller is Jewish or whether DSS is serving our state well or not serving the state at all. The problem is institutionalized welfare that has its roots in LBJ’ infamous war on poverty.
We have created an environment where it pays to have the father donate semen and then move on. Women have been conditioned to manage the source of their livelihood from a combination of food stamps,Obamaphones, aid to dependent children and a host of other programs all designed to make them dependent on the social worker and ultimately nanny government.
DSS functions as a conduit for anonymous phone calls designed to take children our of the “home”. A veritable system of social workers, judges, attorneys and political “hanger-oners” (some well-intentioned’ and most out to get their share of the easy-money).
The politicians have been telling us the system can be fixed by throwing more money at the problem – this has been going on since the 60’s – the money amounts to billions. The only thing we have to show for the wasted money is human misery in unprecedented numbers. The nuclear family is almost a thing of the past. We know from bitter experience that “the village” is not the place to raise kids, but our elected idiots (whoops, I meant esteemed public servants) will not face up to facts.
The latest gang to espouse the tired refrain of throw more money is Lourie, Sealey and Young. They are only passing faces in a long line which will be followed by new faces in years to come. The ideas they espouse are vapid, but it get them reelected and that is all that matters!
