“DO NOT RESPOND TO THE FALSE AND FRIVOLOUS ATTACKS”
|| By FITSNEWS || One of South Carolina’s most influential Tea Party leaders took to social media this week to defend U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas from “false and frivolous attacks” he says are emanating from the liberal end of the American political spectrum.
Joe Dugan – head of the S.C. Tea Party Coalition – posted a message on the Facebook pages of multiple “Republican” activists telling them not to respond to the attacks against Cruz. Instead, he told activists to “make the most efficient use of your time by spreading his Courageous Conservative message to Imagine an America where citizens inalienable rights were still guaranteed by adherence to our Constitution!”
Dugan’s message led to a post on the organization’s Facebook page, which made a similar plea.
“Don’t get sucked into wasting your time trying to answer all the inane attacks on Cruz,” the post read. “If any of them had any merit, he would answer them himself. Stay focused on getting the positive Courageous Conservative Cruz message out to those otherwise patriotic citizens who need to understand how important it is for them to come out in droves, to vote in the 2016 Presidential primaries.”
Neither message specified which attacks were being lobbed against Cruz … although they most likely refer to coverage of Cruz going on Obamacare, the socialized medicine monstrosity he built his national profile opposing.
Liberals – including the White House press secretary – have mocked Cruz for his alleged hypocrisy on the issue.
Is that fair? Eh … maybe.
Although he hasn’t been a factor according to early polling here in early voting South Carolina, Cruz has built a devoted following amongst the state’s Tea Partiers. Numerous conservative activists – especially those located in the vote-rich Upstate region of South Carolina – swear by his candidacy, and seem to be flocking to his banner.
That’s early confirmation of our recent report attesting to Cruz’s viability in the Palmetto State.
Of course more libertarian-leaning “Republicans” – including supporters of U.S. Senator Rand Paul – are taking shots at Cruz from the opposite end of the political spectrum. In fact we’ll have a report on the latest such broadside momentarily …

Like what? Let’s not respond to the issue of his getting Obumercare or that he was born in Canada, and had citizenship in Canada and the US until last year, secretly hiding his canukism incase he needed access to nationalized healthcare?
Is the film Canadian Bacon a prophecy now? I’m not entirely sure, but Ted Cruz shouldn’t be allowed to run for president. Or, there should be a lot of angry conservative “birthers” out there picketing all of his events. Where’s his longform birth certificate? I know that fake Grand Tango will have some excuse as to why this man, born in Canada (his mother was American, hey! Sounds like Obama) should be allowed to run.
All this assumes those”birthers” really cared about that issue.
They didn’t of course. They were just pissed off that this Black guy got elected President.
Cruz is a White fellow.Accordingly,, such is no longer an “issue.”
This is true, even if all the birther conspiracy theories about who his real dad was or if he was born in Kenya were true Obama’s mother was still an American no he was a natural born citizen so eligible to run for president.
The whole thing was just poorly guised racism.
e: also Cruz isn’t White according to those who care about race the most
The birther issue was first brought up by some Hillary Clinton flacks, btw, when they were running against each other for the nomination. I believe he was born in Hawaii. But in college, there is evidence that he claimed Kenyan birth in order to get certain benefits. THAT is the real birther truth. And maybe one of the reasons his records are sealed. But the right-wingers won’t go there, because it isn’t as damning as saying he was not born here.
Make no mistake about Obama and birtherism, though: He built that.
Present your “evidence.”
We will all hold our breath awaiting it.
(Please be sure to include the citation from whatever Right Wing rag you got it from)
Buz a Right Wing? Damn. Learn something new everyday.
Hard to keep up, ain’t it? Since I don’t toe any party line at all, and have not since 2009, I get called everything in the book by the highly polarized: A right-winger, a left-winger, a fascist, a communist, a hate-monger, a n****r-lover, an anti-Semite, a Jew-lover, a Zionist, a self-loathing Southerner, a libtard, an ignorant redneck/cracker, a socialist tool, a godless atheist, an ignorant Christian, a flat-earther, a one-worlder, all the shit Grand Tango and pogo call me, etc.
Big fun.
Buz, I wish I could tell you who you are talking to, you would know that I TOTALLY understand. Just guess, but not here in black and white, only in your mind.
I too was called everything. I quit for a while. My Facebook feed was a bunch of crap I couldn’t stand to read. Not to mention, that many used my wall as a place to post their shit, their politics.
I call you a friend. We had a great run and some fun along the way. You are clever and thoughtful. Don’t ever change for anyone.
Message me privately. I won’t reveal your identity here. Thanks for the kind words. I try.
I don’t know how to msg you privately – I have blocked all social communications. I do trust you, otherwise I would not have said as much.
We were a team, that had opposing opinions, but still friends in the end.
Does this comment ring a bell, “we made news, without making news.”
“We’re college students and we can do anything we want!” – Animal House movie.
Yeh yeh,once again
Show us the evidence of your statement that Obama claimed to be a Kenyan by birth or admit you have none.
Strangely enough, you don’t get to dictate to me.
The right-wing Obama haters get upset if you don’t want him dead or in jail, and the left-wing Obama worshippers get upset if you don’t want to lick his feet. The dude and his associates have lied about so much, they have left themselves wide open for much of the rhetoric against him today. Not the racist shit, there’s no excuse for that whatsoever.
They should have released the damned transcript, if there was nothing to hide — if only to shut people the hell up about whether or not he hid anything. There is circumstantial evidence that he may have claimed to be Kenyah, and only the word of an Obama loyalist that it is not so. On many of his other self-serving lies, there is absolutely no doubt he told them. So why would anyone be certain this was not another deception on his part?
One of his mentors growing up was a pedophile rapist and pornographer, who also happened to be a Stalinist Communist. Yet he spoke rather glowingly about “Frank” in the book that Bill Ayers has strongly suggest he ghost-wrote, Dreams From My Father, didn’t he?
Guilt by association? No, it’s about direct influence. The family brought him together with Davis to give him an African-American role model. I suppose, given the piece of shit that Davis was, we should be grateful that Obama at least seems to be a good father, and a good role model, himself, for youth — in all outward things, anyway.
What’s your label for me now, Judgey McJudgerson?
Do your own research. The right seized on this for a short time in 2011, and then again in 2014, but never stuck with it. For the reason cited. Breitbart (never a birther, btw, he believed that Obama was born in the Hawaii, and often stated that) had featured more prominently than any of the others, because birtherism itself was not his thing. This centered around a press release by Obama’s literary agent which was later claimed to have been in error, by the agent’s press secretary, an ardent Obama supporter. To me, this issue is no big deal. George Bush’s entire record of actual military service seems to be missing, and he appears to have lied about all of it — and it hurt him not at all. In 2008 and 2009, though I had serious reservations about Bill Clinton being in the White House in any capacity again, I was a supporter of Hillary Clinton. Therefor much of the anti-Obama information I got in those days came from that camp. Clinton operatives and rabid supporters were pure hell on Obama — and gave much ammunition to the right wing, in the process.
Just as an example, there’s this, from 2008. https://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com/2008/11/03/nq-ayers-and-obama-in-regular-contact-says-source-close-to-obama-candidacy/
That’s where I first discovered liberal labor law professor (and Ralph Nader supporter) Steve Diamond, and his voluminous blog posts detailing his research on Obama and his true relationship with Ayers, Dohrn, Klonski and associates (including Wright and Pflagler) in Chicago. There I learned that the relationship with Ayers started back in the ’80s, and had been deep and intimate. This despite the lies from Obama and Axlerod about it. Obama saying Ayers was someone he knew from the neighborhood, and Axelrod saying that their kids went to school together — when the Obama kids were tiny children and the Ayers-Dohrn kids were adults working for Chavez in Venezuela. Diamond says it’s a canard for Obama to brush of radical actions by the couple who founded the Weather Underground by saying he was only 8 at the time by pointing out that they were well-known and highly active at Occidental and Columbia Universities when Obama was 18.
Diamond says that this little group, as they operated in Chicago in relation to the schools and the teachers union was in no way liberal or progressive, but was more along the lines of the Trotskyite communists (some of whom were the founders of the neo-con movement.” They did this through their work of various interlocking non-profit groups, with the Annenberg Challenge being the most famous. The right-wing author Stanley Kurtz tried to seize on the proof that Diamond had found of all this. But he looked in the wrong place for the actual records. Diamond, loathe to deal with a right-winger, would not help Kurtz one bit. So Kurtz got much of it dreadfully wrong, and was thus the subject of much ridicule and successful debunking. The MSM would never touch Diamond, though. Not so easily debunked with facts — because he had the lions share of those, himself.
He says they had allies among the right wing and the ruling elite of Chicago and New York, and that they went against the grain of the Chicago leftist establishment by favoring such “right-wing” educational goals as school choice and vouchers. He says that, ideologically, at that time their agenda was more about autocratic and dictatorial control, bordering on fascism, though, than it was on either democratic or “free-market” ideals. He also asserts that Ayers,Dohrn and Klonsky were in close contact with Obama right up until that time (’08), but that eventually the ties had to be severed.
At some point (and no, I don’t have a citation on this) Diamond met with the editor of The New York Times, and presented all of his evidence of the long relationship between Obama and Ayers. According to a NYT writer, the editor said the evidence was compelling, but they were sticking with the Axlerod-Obama version.
Obama lied about Ayers. He lied about Wright. He lied about being able to choose your own plan. Even Axelrod has now admitted to some of the lies. That was what put me off of him, and that is what disgusts me about him, even now.
I will, admit, though, that he has not been the absolute horror he could have been. Turns out that he has actually governed from a little to the right of Jimmy Carter. And with a much cheerier attitude.
We’ve survived Obama, in spite of the worst aspect of Obama. Where you and I may find common ground is in this:
America, as we know it, might not survive a POTUS as far to the crazy, crazy right as Ted Cruz.
I don’t agree with all you wrote, but pretty darn close. Want to play D&D sometime? :)
Don’t like D&D. Don’t get it. Puts me to sleep.
Oh come on, you could play Ted Cruz and I’d play your evil nemesis, it would be fun. No, I promise would not put you to sleep, you just need the right Dungeon Master – ha!
Fixed a lot of that in editing, just now.
Gee Breitbart.
Yep a Right Wing rag.
Carry on with more tales from the fevered swamp of Right Wing lunacy.
Conveniently ignoring the fact that much of what I said came from a liberal’s blog. Well, two of them, actually. You’ve got your label for me, and your mind is closed as tight as a steel trap. Obama is the world-saver in your mind, apparently. Next you’ll be calling me a racist, probably. I think there’s a damned instruction book somewhere, and that’s at the top of every page. Cheapens the meaning of an important term. Sad.
I want to point out a few things to you, separate from the long response I gave. Firstly, as should be clear from everything else on that blog/site, it is from a Democrat who is fiercely loyal to Hillary Clinton, and always has been.
Secondly, read the comment thread, about the scrubbing of all the sites from Chicago that had negative info about Obama. Since I was in the “Just Say Hell NO!” and “PUMA (Party Unity My Ass!) networks, and was also closely following all that was coming out from Obama’s Organizing For America, I say, day to day, how that scrubbing was put into operation. Not only was the stuff scrubbed, but measures were taken to assure that cached versions of the original pages were not accessible, later on, on Google Cache and “The Wayback Machine.” For example, for many weeks, there was the blog section of the Obama campaign site with a blog called “Socialists, Marxists and Communists for Obama.” It was put there by the chief blogger for the site, an associate of Obama, Ayers, and that gang from Chicago. When this started to gain attention, that was scrubbed immediately, and that blogger was thrown under the bus. Of course.
And so it goes.
He is not white. He is Cuban. And I’m Black Irish. And you are not.
There are plenty of “white” Cubans. Geraldo Rivera, for example. Cuban, like Hispanic, is not an ethnicity or “race.” Cuban refers to country of origin. Hispanic refers to language.
Actually Spanish refers to a language, but I do get the pic.
His·pan·ic
hi?spanik/
adjective
1.
of or relating to Spain or to Spanish-speaking countries, especially those of Latin America.
noun
1.
a Spanish-speaking person living in the US, especially one of Latin American descent.
And their beer sucks. But, we gotta go save Honey.
Be careful of what you say, because Canada could hold their Maple Syrup (billions of gallons?) hostage …. then the US would have to invade…
We should test him. Have him say About – if it comes out Aboot – he’s a Canuk. I say we throw him over the falls.
I really think that Cruz is a second generation Cuban Intelligence Directorate spy. Doesn’t anyone watch the Americans? As good a theory as any I guess.
We all know He works for Canadian Intelligence.
I thought Canadians were exempt from ObamaCare.
Yet, another TPer wants to ignore the truth. No comment. It’s amazing how they come in droves, even when they profess to hate ObamaCare.
Upcountry TPers say jump, Joe Dugan says “How high, and up which/who’s orifice?”
Looks like he’s made his official endorsement, though. Whatever that’s worth.
I think they are losing their base. I used to love TP, but I see it for what it is now. It isn’t their platform I dislike so much as it is the power plays.
Dugan, I shit you not, used to have a photo of himself literally draped in an American flag as his Facebook avatar. He may still have that. Don’t know. I think we mutually blocked each other a while back. An absolute douche.
I remember Buz. To answer your questions, money?
It isn’t that difficult to know where the money comes from once you pay close attn. Not so much what is posted on his page, but where pages/posts are connected.
Who is a campaign manager? A maker of politicians? The big dog works behind the scenes, but I am sure you know who I might be referring to. The big dog hates Gov. Haley one minute, publicly “done with her” and the next, privately working for her.
Yes, based on all that I have heard/read, it was a dog and pony convention, I hate I missed that.
Yep!
Cruze quote du jour
“On the global warming alarmists, anyone who actually points to the evidence that disproves their apocalyptical claims, they don’t engage in reasoned debate. What do they do? They scream, ‘You’re a denier.’ They brand you a heretic. Today, the global warming alarmists are the equivalent of the flat-Earthers. It used to be [that] it is accepted scientific wisdom the Earth is flat, and this heretic named Galileo was branded a denier.”
What a dumbass.
Just think, this genius graduated from both Princeton & Harvard.
Someone should ask him during a debate if he knows what the difference is between heliocentric & “flat” is…
I am sure he is brilliant, but that light only illuminates a very limited circle.
It is, I haven’t researched what you say, but assuming he went to both Princeton and Harvard, interesting he can’t afford his own insurance policy.
At least Rand is consistent.
Why does Cruz always look like he is passing a kidney stone the size of a baseball?
It must be hard to keep up with all the bullshit he spews. It’s bound to explode or implode any time soon.
I cannot wait to cast my vote for Ted Cruz. Once South Carolina watches Ted in the debates, they will pull another Newt upset and vote for Ted Cruz. ;-)
bahahaha
That’s what campaign managers are hoping for, they is why the TP is defending him. Well, he won’t get my vote.
One might hope …
Let me re-phrase. I think there is some sarcasm, but I hope you are not waiting for Ted?
Here is why i dont mind Cruz signing up for obamacare. He has the option of enrolling in insurance through the congressional health plan. He is electing not and to slum around with the rest of us. He wants to have a first hand experience of what its like to be “normal”. good for him
You must be Diane from Laurens County TP? Isn’t that exactly what you published in P&C? If he truly wants to be principled, buy the COBRA.
do you know what COBRA is? COBRA is an optional 18 month extension of the insurance you are already enrolled in after an involuntary loss of eligibility. If he disenrolled voluntarily from the congressional plan he isnt eligible for COBRA. EVEN IF HE WAS: its only good for 18 months and he would have to sign up for a new plan anyways.
His wife is
but hes not
Under his wife’s plan, he should be. I bought COBRA once. If he isn’t, there are several private healthcare exchanges out there. I personally like United Healthcare because their rates are reasonable given the coverage.
if he was the original subscriber he is eligible for up to 18 months of cobra where he may cover his spouse, after he either refuses to enroll in cobra or cobra ends any covered dependents are eligbile for an additional 18 months. He cannot be covered by them during that 18 months. (i am a health insurance specialist)
what we are seeing here are the early stages of his political gamble. If he weathers the storm of “ERMAGURD WHAT A HYPOCRITE” he will be able to come back out during debates and say “I am enrolled in Obamacare, and its awful, I hate it….and now [i know how to fix it to make it better/know first hand why we need to dismantle it]…but my opponent who thinks you should be forced to use it still has the big fancy Cadillac plan that i gave up so i could see what the plight of the common person was.”
Great spin, but I think it is time for Cruz to take a cruise. Maybe Canada?
Do you really think he is going to enroll and say anything else BUT “I am enrolled in Obamacare, and its awful, I hate it.” He isn’t. He wants to take advantage of a program he has worked and worked to kill. Very definition of hypocrit, or asshole. Either one.
He is going to do whatever is in is best “political” interests. Let’s talk about the ways this is being spun.
1) His wife wants to quit her job with Goldman Sachs to help him on his campaign trail.
2) He can’t afford insurance and is looking at options.
3) He is going to sign up for ObamaCare so that he looks like an ordinary citizen. A program he has tried to “kill”
REALLY?
Keep the spin coming.
Cruz needs move on over and cruise on out. Enough of the phonies.
.
Ed, I should have posted on Googily’s thread, but in my haste, added it to yours.
I agree, “He wants to take advantage of a program he has worked and worked to kill”
No, he’s going to get some donors to pay for him to have a Cadillac plan and keep it secret.
I wonder if they can use campaign funds and expense it off?
Not trying to be mean, but if you are a health insurance specialist. Your excellent sentence structure and punctuation might explain why so many claims are returned for more information, or simply aren’t paid.
If he was covered by the wifes insurance, he can COBRA>
What’s so hard to understand about that?
Just a CHEAP TEA Party stunt, like NIMRATA.
How did that turn out for ya?
I agree a cheap TP stunt. Like much of his rhetoric, he is in my opinion self serving.
I’m not trying to be an ass about this, but I have a family member that qualifies for ObamaCare. I am just a citizen. People like Cruz, gave me reason to question if it is WRONG to use ObamaCare. I pay for a private policy when one could be provided. If I can, so can Cruz.
Lastly, he could have dropped his current health insurance before his wife quits, signed up on her insurance and then he would be eligible for COBRA.
It’s just a bunch of spin.
He is a brain-child of the republicans, and has Nikki Haley leadership quality. A sure winner for great things to come. I cast my vote, now.
I realize that there are other candidates that pretty much share his politics, but I literally could not stand looking at this guy for four years.
Look at his picture above – he looks like the phony he is acting like.
I defended Ted Cruz the other day, too. Someone said he blew dead dogs, but I told them I saw one get up and walk away.
Only one?
He needs a bigger flag.
My jawls hurt from laughing!
Did you mean your jowls?
Seriously though, why does is look like Cruz is perpetually crying?
*it
Sweet on the former. On the latter, “seriously” just look at him. You can even bounce it from many sources, he still looks disingenuous. Listen to him if you dare, I mean, really listen.
“He needs a bigger flag.”
Damn straight. Fuck lapel pins.
“He needs a bigger flag.”
And I hear that he drives a Support the Troops sticker with a car on it . . . .
I love this one!
Ted Ruze as he called in the intelligence community. …..or greasy 5 one.
Ha! together we could make a Rhyme:
Ted Ruze
Needs to take a cruise….
Cruz has FITS and the liberals S#!tt!#g all over yourselves…that’s for sure…LMAO…
Any candidate who will P!$$ in the face of the media.. slap the S#!t out of Obama…and tell the FITS moderates to kiss his @$$….terrifies you, I’m sure….
And your representative – and answer – is Obama….Hahahahahaha…
No worries on Cruz…his right-wing Christian ass has already proven to be an idiot.
The people accusing him got their @$$#$ whipped on Nov. 4. So I’m sure he’s BEGGING you to come after him…
When you attack it just propels him upward…
He won’t be in the big seat, nitwit. So, go get some more dry goods and ammo because another DEMOCRAT will be president in ’16.
I’m sure your Dumb@$$ can call it…You’re the idiot who told us Sheheen would beat Haley and Ervin was a Republican…Dolt…
Ask the head of the Teabaggers where all the money went from his recent convention. Wonder if he paid taxes on it and reported the income to the Social Security Administration. Hear that the City of Myrtle Beach made him get a business license for his money making venture.
Not everyone born in Canada is an American citizen. The American government has to issue you citizenship papers.
Cruz could clear everything up immediately simply by showing us his citizenship papers. Ignoring the issue just makes him look guilty.
wife is goldman sachs exec VP and a member of council on foreign relations. if the upstate bible belt are for this obvious elite robot puppet then they are fucking STUPID! cruz is jeb bush’s advance man. he will suck up all the oxygen with his loud mouth and his calculated rhetorical firebombs, so as to guarantee no one else will be in a position to challenge jeb. he and his goldmansachsCFR wife both worked for the bush family syndicate- cruz himself worked on the florida 2000 rigjob- so he’s a loyal bush family fixer. he’s just making sure no one gets any media time while he soaks his ego and whatever else black magic rituals he casts on his dumb sheep audiences and slackjawed yokel supporters LMFAO people are truly fucking stupid to fall for such an obvious sockpuppet LOL! oh wait, he’s just newt 2.0 so south carolina is the perfect place for his lowlevel juggling routines.
No Jeb fan, but I do agree for the most part.
