MATT MOORE CRUISING … BUT SOME PARTY ACTIVISTS ARE SCHEMING BEHIND THE SCENES

|| By FITSNEWS || By all accounts, S.C. “Republican” Party chairman Matt Moore is cruising toward reelection this spring …

And why shouldn’t he be?  The SCGOP crushed it at the polls last fall, winning all nine statewide constitutional offices and maintaining its massive majority in the S.C. House of Representatives.  Democrats?  They’re effectively dead at the statewide level – and remain their modest presence in the S.C. General Assembly thanks to gerrymandered districts.

FITS is also hearing reports of several prominent “centrist” Democrats considering switching parties – which would tilt the scales even further in the GOP’s direction.

Now … is there a dime’s worth of difference between a “Republican” and a Democrat in state government?  Of course not.

But Moore’s job has nothing to do with ideology.  His job is to keep the red team #Winning.  And the blue team losing … which he’s done.

Anyway, Moore reportedly boasts supporters in 46 counties and a grassroots army of more than 600 loyal activists as he gears up for reelection.

“Over the past few weeks, SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore has been traveling the State of South Carolina meeting with conservative Republican activists and encouraging them to attend their local precinct reorganizations,” an email from Moore’s SCGOP campaign reads.

But not everyone is on “Team Matt.”

Most vocally opposed to his reelection?  Sheri Few – a sanctimonious evangelical from Kershaw County, S.C. who has made railing on federal “Common Core” education standards her modus operandi.  Few has reportedly courted more than a dozen “Republican” activists to challenge Moore – without success.

More ominously, sources tell FITS certain “Republican” leaders in the South Carolina Upstate have been working on a secret plan to oust Moore – arguing he has not been a good financial steward of the party’s resources.

Hmmmm …

Making this particular intrigue even more interesting?  The Upstate group is reportedly collaborating with Moore’s opponents in secret on the one hand – while publicly aligning itself with Moore’s candidacy on the other.

Clever … or at least it was clever.

Obviously we don’t care who “Republicans” choose as their leader.   The GOP (at all levels) is dead to us – and has been for some time.   Still, it’s fun to follow the machinations of its various political operatives – especially as the party prepares to host the “First in the South” presidential primary next year.

Moore is one the few decent, honest people in SC politics and deserves better than some of the pond scum he has to deal with…just saying.

Well, Queen Martin proudly posted on her STP blog this morning how she organized the Scott Walker rally in Greenville and utilized the dispatches from “The Greenville news’ for the details
You know, the printed media known as “newspapers” that conservatives like to slam as deadest of dinosaurs of the MSM but utilize and quote at every opportunity to either prove or disprove their point to their advantage.
Is it possible that Ms. Martin is part of the “leaders of the Upstate” working both sides against the middle?

Also:
“Greenville News” lists Ms. Martin as an “editor of corporate training manuals”
The $61,000 question is: What type of corporate training manuals does Ms. Martin edit???
I’d be interested in seeing what “corporations” she contracts for and an example of her final editing.
Something tells me Ms. Martin ain’t a “corporate training manual” editor for “Ben & Jerry’s” or “Starbucks”

FITS, you should look at how Few makes her money. Almost all of it comes from state and federal grants. She is one of the people sucking tax dollars for her income.

Not to mention that she got everything repossessed a few years back. Don’t forget about her kids who have trouble with the law as well.

I pointed this out on several FB groups, and got soundly pilloried for it. It’s a fact. She sucks money from the fed g like crazy, and that is how she make her living. Yet another tea freak hypocrite. The ignorant-ass science-hating, sanctimonious religious nuts have screwed the hell out of both the GOP and the Tea Party. Well, with a little help from the neo-Trotskyite neocons and war pigs.

“encouraging them to attend their local precinct reorganizations”
Why?
They don’t run primaries.

They don’t registered candidates or nominees.

The only thing I’ve seen them do is censor Graham. That was effective.

Matt Moore has been a rockstar Chairman, and we will be fortunate to have him back for another term. Why are people wasting time plotting against a guy who is a proven leader and a class act? The people with sour grapes need to move on!

One thing in Matt’s favor is that he knows he has a problem with disaffected Republicans in the Upstate. There is also more money there than in all the rest of the State.

Just Kerry Woods playing games, looking for a fee. He has wound up Karen and several others, hoping they will talk to the money people. He plays this game all the time.

He is pissed that the SC GOP does not pay him for consulting. He needs the money, badly. Boo Hoo.

Mark,..you got it quite right. Stir in a heaping dose of low-IQ far rights, (eg Gaye “who keeps tryin'” and the dim bulb) and you have a toxic stew. But there are those coming to the recue.

“…their (Democrats) modest presence in the S.C. General Assembly thanks to gerrymandered districts.”
Gerrymandered districts drawn by the white Republicans to draw as many packed-with- black-voter state and federal districts as they can.
Or, do you think Jim Clyburn draws his own district?

The Republican Party’s domination in SC has NOTHING to do with whatever “hack” is “Chairman.”

That’s beyond silly.

Hell probably 90% of the voters in SC don’t even know(or care) who Matt Moore is.

Sheri few??? WTF?
How about a story on the Kershaw county republican meeting two weeks ago where the county party attempted to get repub. Candidates to sign a pledge before filing. This pledge was Sheri’s idea and she hid her face from attending the meeting. Nonetheless, the elected officials blew Sheri and her pledge idea out of the water! One candidate publically stated during meeting that it was time for the COUNTY party to part ways with Sheri.
…and here you tell us Sheri is a threat to the STATE party????
Will, I hope you were paid well for that pot stir….
