Globally, 2014 was the warmest in recorded history; winter 2015 has just been declared the warmest in history (front page of weather.com this morning). CO_2. You noted that both components followed each other, but that in the past they righted back to average levels. Then you made the conclusion this would happen again. The obvious error of inference is that man is driving CO_2 levels up now. I think you need a stats class or two.
What drove the CO2 spikes the previous five times?
As for why politics factor into climate change, the question isn’t why should they be considered, it’s what do politicians have to gain by playing politics with the issue.

My degree is in Marine Science. Much of what I learned 30 years ago has been refuted, modified, abridged, recanted, caveated or discarded. Most of the oceans remain unexplored. No marine scientist worth his salt would make the assertions about ocean systems that so called climate scientist make – there is simply still to much unknown or not understood.
