TRUMP TAKES BIG STEP TOWARD PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN

|| By FITSNEWS || Billionaire real estate mogul and reality television star Donald Trump took a major step toward entering the 2016 “Republican” presidential primary this week – announcing his decision to form a presidential exploratory committee.

“The Donald” – who has made multiple stops in early-voting states like Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina – says GOP voters are tired of politicians who fail to deliver on their promises, adding that he believes he is “the only one who can make America great again.”

“I have a great love for our country, but it is a country that is in serious trouble,” Trump said.  “We have lost the respect of the entire world.  Americans deserve better than what they get from their politicians — who are all talk and no action!  I have built a great company, created thousands of jobs and built a tremendous net worth with some of the finest and most prestigious assets in the world — and very little debt! All Americans deserve the same opportunity.”

Trump – who has made no secret of his contempt for the current crop of GOP candidates – has made several staffing moves in early-voting states, including South Carolina.

What will his campaign focus on?  The economy, naturally … although Trump offered some broad strokes of his views on infrastructure, immigration, education and trade.

“Our real unemployment rate is staggering while our manufacturing base is eroding on a daily basis,” Trump said.  “We must rebuild our infrastructure, control our borders, support local control of education, greatly strengthen our military, care for our veterans and put Americans back to work!  We must stop other countries from totally taking advantage of our representatives who are being out-negotiated at every turn.”

Can Trump emerge as a viable candidate?  That remains to be seen …

He certainly wasn’t in the ramp-up to the 2012 campaign – and his endorsement of GOP nominee Mitt Romney (which he later came to regret) didn’t help him, either.

Trump clearly brings star power to the table.  And he’s rousing on the stump.  And he’s got the whole “anti-politician” thing going.  But to be a serious contender he’s going to have to accompany all that with a credible policy agenda – an absolute imperative if he hopes to convince “Republican” voters his campaign isn’t some reality television stunt.

One thing we do know: Trump’s announcement is bad news for Florida governor Jeb Bush, the establishment “Republican” frontrunner.  Trump has been mercilessly criticizing Bush in his early-state visits – a stark contrast to his apparent rapport with the other early frontrunner, Wisconsin governor Scott Walker.

Trump’s candidacy, if it eventuates, will have no appreciable impact on any other candidate. He makes Ravenel look like a piker in the narcissist sweepstakes.

Is there a bigger asshat in American politics than the Donald, king D-bag??…hell all he needs to do is add a Palin, Bachman or the squishy Santorium and you would have the perfect blend of Douche-baggery.

Good point but as I specified politics, rather than worthless trolling, he might not qualify. He/she/it is obviously a huge douche..tough call.

If he can get past the publicity stunt characterization and be taken seriously , Trump has a lot to offer the USA. He has been from the bottom to the top financially more than once. A good solid businessman is what we need as opposed to the scum bag politicians who say what we want them to say and when we elect them , go back to what they are paid to do by the establishment.
