They only reference the most inacurate polls ever run in American history. They used the same poll up and down the east coast. They are getting the numbers confused with the hundreds of thousand of dollars the oil and gas lobby is giving these oil tools and promises of the wealth it will bring to the coast of South Carolina. You only have to look as far as the Gulf of Mexico. Shame on any South Carolinian that would think offshore oil drilling would be an asset to the State. Tourism should contine to rule!
There is competition between the oil companies to get it first. Exxon/Mobil/BP will win, they already have the east coast poli-wogs bought and paid off. Even Hillary and Bill.
My advise: Don’t do it.
South Carolina does not need it, there are way too many other better places to drill than in the middle of the Gulf Stream.
(Me: 5 gerenations in the oil business.)
I only need to read one thing in this article to form an opinion – Tom Marchant. He is a good decent, honest man. If you want to listen to a man of integrity, decency and any positive adjective I might add – Tom Marchant!!!!
I didn’t know he is running for anything, nor involved in any way. What I do know is I have spoken with him frequently via business. He has ALWAYS been honest and straightforward. A man of his word. I would vote for him tomorrow…
If he would run :(
Great, now I guess the Office of Regulatory Staff will want to get their stinkin’ hands on this as well. Just as soon as Dukes Scott finishes giving the General Assmebly their daily hand job.
