“All inflation is caused by government, government prints the money and government can too easily print too much.”

To “index” or tie a tax to inflation is to exacerbate inflation.

A fuel tax indexed to inflation will certainly be a tax that very quickly makes it more difficult for the poorer and middle classes suffer, certainly increasing the “income gap” between those with lower income and fixed income … and those who can more easily afford it.

Ever increasing Fuel taxes generally increase the costs of essentials as well. … Like food.

This is trickle down poverty at it’s uglyist … “The vast unwashed” shoul be reaching for their baseball bats and pitch forks.
