This lady is on the money.
Because I hate the shape of our roads in South Carolina I was for raising the gas tax. But after reading what she had to say I have changed my mind.
This state is in another bait and switch project and I hope everyone reads her article carefully. Sometime back we had an increase in sales tax to help homeowners when in effect and affect it helped the richer folks with fine big homes, enabled them to cover up second homes and helped them there much more than it did me as an ordinary citizen.
I live on a fixed income,a very modest small home and see where I get screwed everyday from Friday when it comes to law makers.
I disagreed once before on an item Ms. Knuckles came out against and to save me I can not remember what it was but I do remember later on I agreed with her. I do not know here personally but she was on the Highway Commission one time I think and I was leery of her. I know the politics there is like everywhere else in this state. But twice I know of she has proven me wrong to myself and I am one of the hardest folks anywhere to admit to myself I am wrong.
No offense…but you’re not telling us ANYTHING we don’t already know…
JOB ONE is Clearing ALL elected offices of Liberals and Democrats…then get the RINOs out, replaced by ROCK-RIBBED Conservatives. The more Conservative, politically a district is…the more prosperous it is…
Once the liberals are Silenced, waffling, Liberal-Tarian, FITS-type Republicans will have no one running cover for them….
Nothing else will EVER matter unless we obliterate the LEFT. Not compromise or “dialouge” with them. ..Democrats, and Democrats alone, have Effed-Up the country…
If you’re not focusing on defeating Democrats EVERY WAKING moment, you are just wasting time…
Excellent editorial!
“… how much of the gas tax goes to other uses and not “repairing roads and bridges.” …”
Here in Taxifornia our gas taxes go to buy such wonderous big buck projects like a Half-Fast “High Speed” Passenger Train service that runs from some where in the central valley to somewhere else in the central valley.
Reform, reform, reform! No new money till there is reform!
What should reform look like?
Run, Sarah, run! Congrats and kudos to Winthrop for producing this graduate. With young people like her, I still have hope for the Republic.
Brilliant!
