FORMER CLEMSON STAR AGREES TO ONE-YEAR DEAL
|| By FITSNEWS || Former Clemson University quarterback Tajh Boyd has signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Boyd was chosen by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft – but was cut by the team last August. Since then he’s been playing with the Florida Blacktips and Boston Brawlers of the Fall Experimental Football League.
In three years as a starter, Boyd set Clemson records for career passing yardage (11,904) and touchdown passes (107). In his final collegiate game against Ohio State in the 2014 Orange Bowl, he completed 31 of 40 passes for 378 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for 127 yards and another score.
The 6-foot-1, 224-pound signal caller from Hampton, Virginia has yet to see action in a regular season NFL game – although we’ve always said we believe he would excel if given the opportunity.
Pittsburgh has three quarterbacks on its roster in addition to Boyd – 11-year starter (and two-time Super Bowl champion) Ben Roethlisberger, veteran journeyman Bruce Gradowski and former Oklahoma University standout Landry Jones.
Boyd will likely compete with Jones to make the team’s 53-man fall roster …

Why the hell didn’t this guy declare for the 2013 NFL draft when he was a top 5 pick??
Cause he’d have been cut a year earlier?
He’d have made more money though…
NO ONE predicted him in the top 5…geesh. He might have gone by the 2nd round but most predicted 3rd.
Convert him to WR and they’re good to go. He’ll be like Edelman.
good for him. he stuck around at clemson when he didnt have to because the team needed him. ill always respect him for that
A few months ago I wrote a book. Soon after, I became the most reviled Steelers fan in the history of mankind.
The Immaculate Rejection is the disheartening game day tale of a Pittsburgh 5th grader wishing to improve stadium safety. An overly optimistic Jewish boy from Squirrel Hill tries to shed light on an undiscussable subject — the prospect of an artificially generated stampede at Heinz Field. But nobody wants to listen. Sid and Miss Priddy find things quickly spiraling out of control, resulting in what many will come to view as the next 9/11. Based on a true story… and a black swan.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and several billionaire owners want this book “removed” from the internet but cannot acknowledge its existence. Quite the conundrum. Making matters worse, the book is free.

Damn, I hope your book is better written and more interesting than that comment.
I think I saw your book turned into a movie… The Immaculate Ejaculation. But it was about this guy named Joseph and a whore named Mary.
Humorous reply. I can unequivocally guarantee that you’ll enjoy the book.
Its about pro football. Who gives a shit? Ever write any books about the Blue Cross CFO going to work for Aetna? Whats the difference?
Welcome Tajh, practice is at 9 AM, and raping starts at 3 PM.
As a Gamecock fan, I would like to wish him the best of luck.
