I thought Georgia had taken the Daimler plant from SC due to Sanford not coming across with the goodies that Ga. gave. Whether we like it or not, these jobs come at a cost. Those states willing to bid on them get them. It is as simple as that. It’s not “fair” but it is reality. Get over it and bid or do without.

Bottom line, is that no company will go anywhere unless some types of incentives are offered. Now, we can toe the libertarian line about picking winners, and tell every company to go somewhere else, or we can have jobs. Seems like an easy decision to make. Appears simple they are already in a former truck plant and need more capacity. GA location was developed for the Sprinter van but it was not developed as Daimler wanted to expand the use of the van for EMS and was rejected. More jobs more tax payers better than more taxes for the Legislature to piss away.
We don’t have money to fix the roads but I bet we have plenty to give Damlier, right?
