LET THE JOKES WRITE THEMSELVES …

|| By FITSNEWS || S.C. governor Nikki Haley is at an “undisclosed location” working on a big “economic development” deal for the state … meaning your tax dollars are about to be doled out like candy to some major multi-national corporation.

Assuming she’s “successful.”

Word on the street is Haley is in Whitley – a suburb of the Coventry metropolitan borough of the United Kingdom.  What’s she (reportedly) doing there?  Making the Palmetto State’s pitch to land a new Land Rover plant at the Jaguar Land Rover world headquarters.

South Carolina is reportedly in competition with Georgia and North Carolina for the rumored facility … pitching a site in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

“(Jaguar) is indeed looking at North America as a location for another plant,” Indian businessman Ratan Tata told the South Carolina Automotive Summit last week. “Where they locate that plant, in which country or which state they locate, is something they will need to decide.”

Tata is chairman emeritus of Tata Motors, which acquired Jaguar from Ford in 2008.  The company had revenues of nearly $40 billion during its last fiscal year – meaning it doesn’t need any taxpayer subsidies in the event it wishes to open a new manufacturing facility.

What red blooded American male wouldn’t consider buying a car named “Ta Ta”?

I wonder how much the spinning tassle option runs.

I’ll take mine in “veiny purple” please.

We don’t need no stinking jobs in SC. Tell all them foreign companies, BMW, Michelin, etc.to get the hell out of here. We are going back to home grown cotton and tobacco.

“We don’t need no stinking jobs in SC. ”

What a ridiculous suggestion that handing out taxpayer money is required to get big/foreign companies to come here.

Tax breaks could be substantial if done right instead of redistributing wealth from poor & middle class to corporations.

In your astute observations of the siting of major plant investments by large corporations, do incentives in forms similar to those provided by SC for BMW, Boeing, etc. influence where corporations locate their plants? Yes or no?

Its one of three things: (1) dont wanna do ANYTHING with POTUS visit to Columbia…probably will ruin her NATIONAL ambitions (2) “operation Lost Trust 2.0” is underway (3) Stephen Goldfinch is in trouble somewhere and Trikki Nikki rushed out to “vouch” for the poor old bugger with abundant “Christian values”

…..or need to spend some of that money from the travel expense account….whatever the reasons are….jobs are not coming to SC..that’s sure. I have seen more professional friends, church friends, neighbors and strangers lose their jobs in the last 2 years and their lives destroyed. Where are the jobs?

The national economy SUCKS. And it has since Barack Obama took office. When you have NO ENERGY policy, except to kill coal and let oil prices skyrocket by discouraging production…EVERYBODY pays more to do business…and businesses make less. It sinks everybody.

Therefore you have to lay off workers, and decrease pay-hike schedules.

It’s why salaries are way down, 20 million more are on food stamps, and welfare payments are at record numbers. 92 million don’t have jobs, and many that do are severely under-employed.

Not to mention the price of Obamacare and inflation for groceries and the tax increases.

Everything Obama and the Democrats touch is a disaster. And it will not turn until they are out of power.

You SUCK, too.

If they build the plant in Jasper, Hampton or Allendale, they will need Savannah’s harbor deepened.

Reply
shifty henry March 2, 2015 at 4:03 pm

Maybe the company will buy out SC State. Centrally located, near interstate and harbor, and classrooms for training capable workers, and no union.

Reply
Rocky March 2, 2015 at 4:06 pm

Dude, they’d need the educated labor pool deepened.

A woman had enormous breasts and each time she met a man,
she’d heave her bosom. He’d heave it back! Ashamed of her gigantic bosom, the woman went to Halmar the Faith Healer.
He studied her for a while and said that faith could move
mountains. She paid him a large sum of money and he started to pray. For hours he prayed, and, lo and behold, her bosom grew smaller. Her breasts became beautiful, but now she has
two giant lumps on her ass!

What amazes is these people building plants in the low country, of SC. The worst education in the state is there, and they have to deal with potential hurricanes. They should build in the upstate. The land is cheaper, education is better and we have only had one hurricane in the past 200 years.
