FITS belittles Santorum, but he was the last man standing against Romney in 2012. No one other than Romney won more primaries/caucuses. In a crowded field, he at least placed.
He did well against the winner of a primary that couldn’t beat a sitting President that at one point close to historic lows before the elected?
Hmmm….Santorum wasn’t even close electorally…many states he won were because most the other contenders had dropped out…I don’t know Vic, doesn’t seem convincing to me.
I wish this has been that never was would just crawl back into his hole and pull it in behind him. He could use Christie as the plug for the hole. There, two problems solve at once. Damn I’m good.
One has to appreciate his faith and stand on ‘life’ issues however it appears he comes around every 4 years for a paycheck from the party.
Like Mike Huckabee and Christine McDonnell, I suspect they get to pawn off a lot of regular living expenses as campaign expenses when they run and run and run.
McDonnell is facing charges about the lengths she went to to live off her campaign contributions.
But, I think there are more politically sophisticated candidates like Santorum and Huckabee – among other perpetual candidates; didn’t Alan Keyes get caught doing this? – who really know how to run the scam without getting caught. So far.
That leaves more of their personal money in the bank.
