“REPUBLICAN” VOTERS DON’T WANT LINDSEY GRAHAM TO RUN …
|| By FITSNEWS || Former Florida governor Jeb Bush and Wisconsin governor Scott Walker are the two early “Republican” presidential leaders in early-voting South Carolina.
According to a new survey from Public Policy Polling (PPP) – a North Carolina-based Democratic outfit with a pretty solid record of Palmetto State prognostication – Bush is drawing the support of 19 percent of likely “First in the South” primary-goers. That puts him narrowly ahead of Walker, who drew 18 percent.
Who else is getting early support? And how much? Well, there’s neurosurgeon Ben Carson (13 percent), home-state U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (13 percent), former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee (12 percent), New Jersey governor Chris Christie (7 percent), U.S. Senator Rand Paul (5 percent), U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (3 percent) and former Texas governor Rick Perry (3 percent).
PPP’s survey also offers some important context as it relates to previous polls showing support for Graham’s “native son” bid.
According to the data, most South Carolina “Republican” voters want Graham to sit out the presidential campaign. In fact only 25 percent of respondents said they want him to run – compared to 61 percent who feel he should sit the race out.
“There is little interest among Republican primary voters in Graham making a run for the White House,” the pollsters noted.
Indeed … which would seem to confirm we were correct in questioning the prior surveys showing elevated support for Graham.

I spoke with Loftis recently about the primary. He remembers getting his ass kicked for endorsing the establishment pick last time. Who could blame him though, Mitt paid for that endorsement! That’s why he’s looking at Ben Carson. With his endorsement, Carson will be unbeatable!!!

Well, here’s what I remember. January 1993 – unemployment was 8.1% as Daddy Bush was walking out the door. January 2001 – unemployment was 4.7% as William Jefferson “The Great One” Clinton was walking out the door. January 2009 – unemployment was 8.5% as George W Bush was walking out the door. So, Bush’s leave the US in recessions with high unemployment. Clinton inherited high unemployment and left with low unemployment and no deficits. So if we’re comparin’ the families – it would seem to me – and most every other common sense American, that Bush’s is bad, Clinton’s is good. Thinkin’ that’s how this one plays out. The new GOP Bush campaign slogan – “If You Liked Your Unemployment, You Can Keep It!!!”
