“REPUBLICAN” SENATOR CONTINUES TO CATCH FLAK FOR SEXIST STATEMENTS
|| By FITSNEWS || More than a week after we first broke the story, the saga of S.C. Senator Thomas Corbin rolls on …
Last week, the Upstate “Republican” referred to his only female colleague in the State Senate as a “lesser cut of meat.” In fact the comment – a bastardized reference to the Biblical account of creation – was actually applied by Corbin to all women.
Naturally, the story went viral … nationwide.
Corbin later apologized for his sexist remark. Sort of. Shortly thereafter, he blamed the target of his “ribbing,” S.C. Senator Katrina Shealy – accusing her of getting upset and “making a big deal out of all this.”
Oh Lord …
Obviously Corbin has taken the worst of it on the national stage. And has given the Palmetto State yet another embarrassing black eye. But how is the drama unfolding in the “Man’s World” at the S.C. State House?

According to our sources, these flyers have been distributed all over the S.C. State House lobby this week – and in other buildings on the Palmetto State’s capital grounds.

The only reason they are SC Senators is due to the rightwing nuts voting and supporting the likes of them,Shane Martin,Roger Nutt and associated types
But Teabaggers are very organized and vote as a strong bloc (especially here in Spartanburg County) so this is the type you get when it is essentially a one-party system and is being condensed into its most toxic component.
There are very good and competent people in the Upstate but sadly the rightwing nuts are calling the shots.

Corbin was elected in 2012 and runs again in 2016. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the First in the South POTUS Primary and if a woman will set up to oppose him.

Thank you, Senator Corbin. We’ve already had politicians make racist remarks about how black children shouldn’t swim in “our” pools or attend “our” churches, even a recent lieutenant governor who compared low-income students who receive discounted lunches in our schools to animals. What we didn’t have was a local state senator making incredibly misogynistic comments and then turning his apology into more sexist rhetoric. It used to be frustrating but now it just feels like a bad joke that never ceases. Again though, thank you for bringing us national attention. What we needed was indeed another clown in the statehouse. Do your “beloved” South Carolinians a favor and submit your resignation. It’d even give you more time to focus on your role as a deacon and Sunday school teacher back home in Travelers Rest.
