HOMELAND SECURITY FUNDING BATTLE HEATING UP
|| By ROBERT ROMANO || As the end of February fast approaches, pressure is beginning to mount internally on Senate Democrats who are blocking legislation that would fund the Department of Homeland Security and prohibit Barack Obama’s unconstitutional amnesty of 4.5 million illegal immigrants with U.S.-born children.
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), ratcheting up the pressure, hinted that a partial shutdown of the Department may be in the offing.
“If funding for Homeland Security lapses, Washington Democrats are going to bear the responsibility,” Boehner told reporters on Thursday.
In response, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is planning on holding another vote for the House legislation on Monday.
This would be the fourth time the legislation has been voted on so far, with Senate Democrats blocking it each time. The measure, which requires 60 votes, failed 51-48 on February 3, 53-47 on February 4, and 52-47 on February 5.
For his part, in keeping pressure on the Senate, Boehner is sticking to his conference’s plan that he outlined on December 4, 2014.
The strategy included only funding those agencies that would be implementing the executive action in the Department of Homeland Security through February 27, enabling the House and Senate, now both with Republican majorities, to then defund and/or prohibit the action in 2015.
“[T]he House will work to keep the government open while keeping our leverage, so that when we have reinforcements in the Senate, we’re in the strongest position to take additional actions to fight the President’s unilateral actions,” said Boehner at the time.
Now that the reinforcements have arrived in the form of the Senate Republican majority, House members are now setting their sights on vulnerable Senate Democrats on the issue.
Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.), a freshman and retired Navy SEAL commander, took on Senator Jon Tester (D-Mont.) for voting to filibuster the legislation, protecting Obama’s usurpation of legislative powers.
“It isn’t just about immigration. It’s about the unconstitutional overreach of the president, to disregard Article I or Article II of our Constitution. The bill, I think it’s an appropriate bill. I would encourage Sen. Tester to pass the bill and uphold his duty,” Zinke said in an exclusive interview with Breitbart.com’s Matthew Boyle.

Yeah, Dems really feeling the heat here. Who’s job is it to fund the DHS? Right, Congress. The House and the Senate. Who controls Congress? The GOP. So, it would seem that the GOP needs to find a way to win Democratic support for a DHS funding bill. Humph! I think that’s what the Founding Fadders wanted. So if they don’t do that, who’s fault is it? Again? Who’s gonna cave?
You didn’t see this CLOWN blowing this BS off when the Democrats were in control of the Senate and the Republicans were always threatening to close the government down.

With “leaders” like Boehner and McConnell in charge, the Republicans will cave. I say tie illegal immigration, Keystone pipeline and DHS together. If the Dims don’t vote for , shut it down, lock the door. Either way Republicans will get the blame in the left wing media. Might as well earn it.

You’re blaming Democrats? Really? And when the GOP shut the government down last year, was that the fault of the Democrats too? The GOP is in control of congress…if they can’t pass a bill that both parties can agree upon, how is that the Dems fault? Oh…in right wing la la land, it’s always the Dems fault, right? What happened to the old “give us a clean bill mantra” of the GOP? Right…they only chant that when Dems are in control. For now, they think they can pick and choose who will be affected by their fascist tactics….sorry, doesn’t work that way!
Repubs are stone deaf on this. They think because they won the midterms where old white voters were WAY over represented the rest of America is with them. Less than 30 days in the Repubs have already forgotten their need to show the country they can actually govern. Ignoring the admonition that one needs to learn to walk before attempting to run they open with Keystone and this bullshit.
If the f&cker would present a clean bill with only DHS funding it would pass in 20 minutes. The GOPers have been doing this forever. Using one needed bill to pass un-need legislation/funding.
Why is this even an issue? Congress has no responsibility to fund a program it didn’t pass, the majority of Americans don’t want, is unconstitutional.
There is always a way, to break the back of the Democratic
Party blocking a vote that would halt obama’s illegal alien executive order, granting
5 million or more illegal aliens amnesty and access to our limited amount of
dollars for Social Security and public assistance and a profusion of programs.
They have been robbing us blind for years, by employers not following the law
of hiring, without consequence. That we have been forewarned of this illegally
based pardon for those illegal aliens have legally stolen from us, some
individuals not even having to pay a nickel into the welfare system. Millions of illegal
aliens who are granted amnesty will be eligible for refunds from the IRS. They
will be given social security numbers, too.
To be able to find
work our country has been pilfered of hundreds of thousands of Social Security
numbers. The American victims having to prove who they are; our children’s SSN
stolen even before leaving the hospital and our troops deployed abroad have not
been safe from this criminal enterprise. The GOP establishment holds the power, but
even the old guys at the top cannot be trusted? Are they playing a game with
the American Public as they are supposedly there to protect and defend us? So,
Hey! May be this is the answer?
Place the National
Guard on the Southern Border, as they are here to defend America. Implement this stalemate in Congress as a
national emergency so each states governor and deploy the guard and use the US service men and women as a rear guard.
Give them the opportunity to fight another surge of illegal immigration across
our borders, consign them to incoming ports of entry and even at airport
arrivals, watching carefully the public companies security personnel checking
baggage instead of the TSA Homeland Security people.
When Democrats have established beyond doubt, that they see
illegal aliens as a future vote, also on a higher status than American
taxpayers or any citizen or even permanent residents that arrived here
lawfully? Obama has become a public nemesis to our way of life.
EVERYTHING INCURRED TO SUPPORT THE ONGOING ILEGAL ALIEN INVASION,
SUCH AS WELFARE, EDUCATION, PRISON AND THE TOXIC DRUGS IMPORTED AND EVERY
FINANCIAL SERVICE IS IN ACCESS OF $536 BILLION DOLLARS ANNUALLY OUT OF YOUR
TAXES.
Is this a carefully crafted
plot by the GOP Elitists, to make us think that they had no other option but to
cave in to Obama’s Amnesty, when it was collusion from the start? However both Parties will be held responsible
and there will be no surprise if millions of Republicans gravitate to the
growing ranks of the National Tea Party—made up of moderate Republicans. The
Tea Party is the real champions of change, to a simpler tax system and
following the laws and edicts of the US Constitution. Democrats have crossed
the line by negatively pursuing our right to self reliance, just as the Soviet
Empire, that fell apart.
The 1986 new amnesty laws were never
broken that we live by today, they were intentionally not enforced. The
Simpson/Mazzoli policy could today be amended, but instead we are told they are
broken. That has been a lie from its inception. The daily draw of illegal
aliens as cheap labor worked for both parties.
It is time for GOP hierarchy—not the Tea Party Republicans
who fight against their own, to put an end to the destruction on American
families that Obama’s cheap labor policy national impact or Obama’s call for
voters, legal and unlawful. Get ready for battle. We need to march all over Washington. Plaster our messages
all over the offices of our elected officials. Get in their faces. We urge you to call your Representative and Senators
(the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) and demand that they vote to defund
Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty and protect American jobs, American
wages for American workers. Do not suppress the pressure in fact increase it on
Washington as it
your nation, your employment and the shrinkage of your pay check.
Are
you ready to help us stop him and end amnesty for illegal aliens once and for
all—before the true and final destruction begins? You the American people, have
ALL the power of your vote. If the Southern border stays open, with this
President directives to overrun this country with foreign nationals the
citizens will suffer dearly, including massive tax increases to financially
support the 5 million already here and those waiting to escape poverty from
around the world.
ISN’T TIME TO ASK THIS PRESIDENT AND
HIS DEMOCRATIC ELECTED SENATORS AND HOUSE MEMBERS THE
ABSOLUTE REALITY OF THE COSTS FOR THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF 5 MILLION ILLEGAL
ALIENS OF 11.5 MILLION OR MORE ILLEGAL ALIENS OR THOSE WHO KEEP SLIPPING IN
THROUGH AT LEAST A THOUSAND MILES OF OPEN BORDER REGIONS.
Consider the fact that
that these legalized millions will be massive profits for corporations, big
business and wealthy entities in all forms who sit in their proverbial ‘Ivory
Towers’ staring down from penthouses watching us little people running around
like ants. So we will be overwhelmed more Apartments; more appliances; more
cars; more of everything for industry. For the American taxpayer, more taxes,
overpopulation, traffic gridlock, urban spread away from big cities, more
public services needed; while our infrastructure of bridges, tunnels, highways
are eroding. And now in the Southwest water conservation because of the growing
population of unknown numbers of foreigners.
PS: Senator Mark Kirk, is probably a puppet of the US Chamber
of Commerce and the wealthy back hander’s of special perks. Any Senator or
House member is a traitor to the US Taxpayer who carries the financial burden
of illegal aliens.
