“Underage drinking, alerted identification cards, public urination and disorderly conduct, to name a few.”
Other than alerted id cards (altered maybe?), sounds just like college to me. We just didn’t video it.
College kids drinking too much and acting like morons?! What?!
Yes, I’m shocked! …
Makes you wonder what they do at BJU. LOL
“We just didn’t video it.”
That’s the only thing that brings out the old codger in me. I did equally stupid things, but thank God there were no cell phones/cameras around…why the younger generation can’t just put em’ away while they are carrying on is beyond me.
If I had any of my stupidity recorded to watch over and over again it’d get real old, real quick. Plus those stories are things to be told/embellished upon at parties…not for public consumption.
I was thinking of this recently. It just seems odd to me that for many people, they’ll never be able to let go of the dumb stuff (that all of us have done) in our youth. There is a permanent record, somewhere, of everything they do. And whether they want to forget about it and move on with life or not, they won’t be able to. Stupid things they do in their youth they’ll be forced to live with their entire life.
I’m glad that it wasn’t like that when I was growing up.
That is the damn truth. Not sure how old you are, but your post makes me think this is one of the few items I am glad to be in the “Over 40” category.
Over 40..and so much this.

“There were giants in those days . . .”
All of us geezer types did things better not recorded. They can’t go back and embellish it either. Sad. LOL
…alerted identification cards
Be alert!
‘Murrica needs more lerts.
Don’t forget the color coded Homeland Security Advisory System.
Thank Jesus for Fed vigilance. It’s worth them listening to my conversations on bowel movement frequency with my old mum.
Freedumb has a price, and that price knows no bounds of decency.
I remember when no one cared how old you were when you drank. And it was real Bud. before the lite crap. By todays standards the whole 50’s and 60’s generation should be dead buried and forgotten. None of us should have survived. But we did.
My recollection of that time: when skirts were a bit longer and the vomitorium was not as full, otherwise if you’ve seen one video of a drunken class/frat party, you’ve seen ’em all.
Awsome, I should have went to CCU :(
FITS = BIG BROTHER = Liberal-Tarian….
Do you want these people peering into every aspect of your life…and broadcasting it…like a tattletale…???
We keep tabs on you, but damn, we’re starting to hate it. You guys wonder what this boy surfs every day? Let’s just say this is one FOIA you’ll thank us for ignoring.
If you did not know by now that Coastal was a party school with low academic ambitions you have been living under a rock for at least two decades.
Sounds like any college in the country pre-1990 before people buried themselves online.
OK, it’s a little rough.
But, it’s what happens at most colleges: today and yesterday.
Let’s not be Hypocrites
Check out Fort Lauderdale in the 60s and 70s.
It makes these folks look positively Puritan.
Back then in SC and Florida you could drink at 18 (most did it at 14) in public.
There was a major war in Vietnam where thousands of people died each day, and a lot of the men were headed there and looking for one last good time before they might get killed.
There was free love, lots of booze, women who didn’t wear underwear, burned their bras in public, no HIV, or Herpes ultra fast muscle cars with lousy steering & rotten roads.
So, give the folks a break.
I just hope they stay safe and don’t hurt themselves permanently.

SDS, Black Panthers, bombs, real riots . . . ahhh, the nostalgia.
Back at USC Columbia, we called that Thursday.
Back at USC Columbia, we called that Thursday.
Tigertown, also.
*Fondly but hazily remembers $2.00 cover charge and $0.35 cans of Bud at Bullwinkle’s on Thursday nights in the early ’80s…*
A moment of silence for Bullwinkles. I remember the big buckets of draft beer for a dollar. Good times. Or so I’ve been told, my memory is actually pretty fuzzy.
Coastal is the party school USC once was
Looks like they drink At USC as well. Drink, and walk around the river.

Don’t forget about the Tigers. Might be time to look into grad school. Or go back to school like Rodney.

Hell, half of that was at Georgia.
Yeah, may not have won the game, but the Tigers can party better on campus and on the road vs. them Dirty Dawgs. Here is the FSU week version. Got to have respect for that Clemson woman who can effortlessly flip the bird as soon as the camera hits her. Like you said above, a permanent record.

The news: SC has much prettier co-eds that Taxifornia!
God Bless America … I just hope they all have a guardian angel around them as I did.
I saw lots of Busch cans. I fear for the future of these kids being brought up on such swill.
Won’t somebody please think of the children!!
Yeah, look what happened to us drinking Meister Brau and MIlwaukee’s Best.
Holy Young Titties, Batman.
You have finally posted an article to my licking.
Interesting how you linked fraternities with this story, even though there is zero mention of fraternities in the video. Stereotype it up. One reason why you’ll never be a reputable news source.
Are the four black guys in the video the UCC basketball team?
Oh the reasons this country is becoming a joke, with such fine examples of maturity and education being commonplace at 13th grade institutions like Coastal.
This is pretty tame compared to some of what I participated in when I was in Subic Bay which was a legendary US Navy port of call.
