Gain what perspective? On how shitty it is here, and how much better it could be? I went to San Diego for a week, the beaches are better than Myrtle, the public transportation is more advanced (didn’t need a car to get around) the people are happier and more pleasant to be around, the nightlife is better, the girls are hotter. You really do think that SC is Hog Heaven, don;t you?

Au contraire, I left a while back for a career change. Although, I follow what goes on there in SC for a laugh or two.
I live in San Diego, well Carlsbad and after living everywhere in South Carolina I’ve never been happier.
And San Diego is possibly the last metropolitan “Republican” stronghold in California. Move to San Fran or LA and tell me how great it is.

I highly doubt I’d want to live in California myself, but there are 48 other states to compare SC to, most of which don’t give SC a handicap.
You know that poster was full of it and trying to figure out a new way to bash where he lives because he has feelings of helplessness and resentment that things aren’t exactly to his taste. I don’t believe the second post about having moved for a minute. I don’t go to websites about Florida politics and start bashing everything , I moved, which is what grownups with marketable skills do and is the beauty of our concepts of State’s Rights. Sure, there are better, and worse, places to be. Personally, I would love to live closer to the Table Rock Area but my value and customer base would take a hit.

But personally, anything I’ve accomplished. Education, Military Service, Gainful Employment is not due to being an SC resident. So no, it’s not resentment, it’s ridicule
I’m often told when I criticize politicians or greedy business-people that I’m “jealous” of them. Would I like to have more money and more power? Sure. Do I envy theirs? No, because they’ve misused them to fuck over other people, gain more wealth and power, and generally act like over-priviliged pigs. Some of them are trust-fund babies,too, like T-Rav. Not “wealth creators” by any means, they’re riding of the fortunes and good names of their parents or grandparents. No respect. Nothing but contempt.
