“SOMETIMES, HE IS COMPLETELY OUT OF HIS MIND …”
|| By FITSNEWS || This website has consistently rebuked the “invade everybody” foreign policy espoused by warmongering U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain … but this demonstrably failed approach to waging “War on Terror” is receiving fresh national scrutiny in light of Graham’s presidential aspirations.
In a must-read article published on Foreign Policy, columnist Michael A. Cohen takes Graham to the woodshed over his “neoconservatism.”
“I’ve been more right than wrong when it comes to foreign policy,” Graham said in making the case for his presidential bid.
Really? Hmmmm … how is that possible when his allegiances shift on a dime?
“Lindsey Graham is, in fact, far more often wrong than he is right. Occasionally, he is more than just wrong: Sometimes, he’s completely out of his mind,” Cohen wrote. “In a town filled with threat-mongers, fear-merchants, and hand-wringers, there is no one mongering more threats, selling more fear and wringing more hands than Sen. Graham.”
Nice!
“If he’s not exaggerating a threat, (Graham)’s bloviating about how a lack of determination has left Americans vulnerable,” Cohen continued. “If he’s not recommending that Americans be sent into harm’s way, he’s pooh-poohing the notion that diplomacy or any form of coercion that doesn’t include bombs, can be effective.”
Again … spot on. And exactly what we’ve been saying for years.
Graham’s fear-mongering is the stuff of legend. But it isn’t just idiotic and hyperbolic … as Cohen makes clear, it’s worse than that – it’s reckless and dangerous.
Sort of like Graham’s fiscal policy …

We have six more years of him being wrong, too. Thanks, South Carolina!
We’ll find out soon that he wasn’t fear-mongering. He has ACCESS. He KNOWS things that we are not allowed to. There must a good reason he and McCain have been agitating for war with Russia in 2008 over Georgia and here lately over Ukraine. We need to err on the side of caution and Lindsey Graham as president is the man we need to make our country secure in a very secary world full of terrorists and aggressive, militaristic regimes that could, possibly, develop nuclear weapons if they haven’t already and gang up on us and destroy us. The rest of the world is envious of our success and domination. We need to make every sacrifice possible in order to protect ourselves. Part of the funds from the carbon tax that Lindsey is recommending could be used to open up more bases overseas so that we can keep the enemy fighting over there instead of over here. I think Rick Perry would make a great running mate for Lindsey. They share a lot of views on the need for government direction of the economy.
Please, share some of whatever it is you’re smoking (besides Lyndsey’s cock). It’s seems to the be strong as hell and makes you trip balls.
Pole workers and pole smokers. I see a theme developing in today’s posts and comments.
Posts like this are why no one takes Republicans seriously anymore.
Really?
Control of senate,house,governorships,state legislatures…most congressmen since 1932?
You obviously flunked math, Jethro.
Exactly! We ARE the establishment and we need to do everything possible to ensure the survivability of our corporations and their workers.
It’s a great thing invading these barbaric countries now leaves America safe and free from the crazy zealots.
Well, fortunately for us and the economy in SC, there is no such thing as “too much security.” There are just higher levels of security and one can never be satisfied at the level they’re at. If we stay too long at one level, the enemy will get used to it so we have to have an ever-tightening level of security to protect us from the terrorists.
Jay Spector, is that you, man?
Most people would take those facts as evidence this country is going downhill.
No.Obama has been trying to destroy the country and now the adults are in control of the congress and state legislatures-we can slow him down until 2016 then reverse all the damage he has done.
SCOTUS will end Obamacare in June and that will be a start.
This is very serious stuff. I’m glad that there are plenty of older, wiser people who go to the polls in droves and elect those who will continue our corporatist economy and make the security of our nation job number one.
I think more people need to have a five-minute conversation with you.
Lenny Musso, e’erybody! Literally born yesterday as the newest sock puppet.
“Mussolenny” Get it?
And he’s got a great routine going.
I guess Il Douche would be too obvious?
I like his tank avatar.
Lenny, where do I sign up to shill for Lyndsey? I’ll write stuff like that for money. Seriously.
“Coporatist economy.” Right. Gotta keep those war profiteers in bidness.
Holy shit, your mind is a scary-ass place.
You’re blowing my mind describing what I’m saying as being scary. WTF??? We are there, comrade! The few of us who dare to call ourselves fascists (and want our philosophical brethren on both sides of the aisle to identify themselves this way, too) are VERY happy that our politics are S.O.P. at both the state and national levels. The establishment is corporatist and apparently proud of it from the way the politicians in both major parties talk but without quite self-identifying as such. Lindsey Graham and Rich Perry will just be the icing on the cake if they are elected Pres. and VP, respectively.
I get it now.
Carry on.
“Fascism should more properly be called corporatism” — Big Benito.
Just for the record, it probably wasn’t actually said by him even though it’s often attributed.
The American public bought into the Iraq war partially due to the “must be secrets they aren’t telling us, so we better trust or government” mindset. And it was flat out, 100%,embarrassingly wrong. Government does not deserve the benefit of the doubt, especially in cases of deciding to go to war. In fact we ought to be more skeptical than usual when government starts selling us a new invasion.
If you feel that way, you need to find that dude a woman to pretend to be in relationship with him, very soon. There are so many women who want to be connected to a big deal politician in South Carolina, that should be no trouble at all. I think Kelley Payne is currently un-entangled. Better call her before suppertime, though. She and ECK might have patched things up by then, and be doing things that the mind dare not even picture.
Buz, I’ve been trying for YEARS to get him to “settle down” at least for public perception’s sake. I was afraid for a while that he was a little too affectionate towards his niece but he assured me that she was not in any danger from him. I like the idea of Kelly Payne–it would help him fool some more of the Tea Party morons. I’ll give her a call and see what she thinks.
Unfortunately for mankind and the existence of the Free World Cohen’s comments sound and look like a platform that will put Graham in the White House, not the Out House
You guys keep re-electing him, over and over again. Thanks, assholes.
Not everyone here is doing it. We’re being screwed by frightened stupid people.
There’s stupid people everywhere, and they are in charge because of democracy.
or lack thereof.
You missed the point about IQ…they are the largest voting block by far…
Lyndsey knows his base: terrified older white people who are scare of just about anything outside of their immediate living area. Just happened SC is filled to the gills with them.
But he’s like Courage The Cowardly Dog, warning the old couple of all the vile evil menaces to their hearth and home.
Except that Courage always overcomes his cowardice and steps up to fend off the satanic powers himself. Unlike Graham, who will, instead, gladly sacrifice the that kindly old couple’s grandkids.
Game, set, match….well played sir!
So Lindsey just got his asshole ripped…..
Damn! Made me spew my coffee with that one.
Yeah…and he liked it! He fantasized about “Big John” McCain the whole time.
Half measures. That’s all Obama knows.
“It’s better to be wrong than indecisive. ”
lol…wrong!
” They hope everything will work our without having to do anything”
Who wouldn’t? You’d have to be insane to “want” to work for something that you didn’t have to.
“or ask anything from the country.”
That’s some collectivist bullshit right there. Lenin would be proud.
None of this is a defense for the Black Jesus either.
“It’s better to be wrong than indecisive.”
If you are indecisive people might misunderestimate you, though. Besides, they’ll greet us as liberators!
A SC politician will never go wrong in this electorate by “warmongering.”
It simply will not happen.
Lindsey Graham, Bob Jones University and Strom Thurmond’s legacy= 3 contributions from S.C. that have severely hurt the GOP’s credibility on a national scale. This is a primary reason why Jon Stewart has a “Thank you South Carolina” segment.
Republicans control the house and senate and have WON 5 of the last 9 Presidential elections.
Say what?
Please stay on context – we’re going to have a conversation related to foreign policy now – and whether or not Sen. Graham’s advocacy for continued conflicts in the Middle East and Asia are appropriate foreign policy goals, and if there should be recognition of the effects of diplomacy and non-overt military efforts can produce. For example, while oil prices are hurting the Russian economy across the board, are the sanctions that are specifically amplifying that pain to personal sectors of the inner ruling Russian establishment effective. Or, for example, do we achieve greater success by expanding trade and contact with Cuba rather than not. So, please – proceed.
Fuck you. The poster above stated the GOP’s credibility was hurt on the national scale. I refuted that with facts.
Unlike you I can debate an issue without calling bloggers a racist.
You really are a sad shit.
I didn’t call you racist. Touchy today? Come back home where it’s warmer – that cold in Ohio is making you cranky.
It is. Sorry bout that. Had to get it off my chest. :-)
The only bloggers on here are the ones who write the articles posted at the top of the page. Those are “blog posts.” The authors, therefore, are “bloggers.” The rest of us are commenters, sometimes referred to as “commentators”, though that is erroneous nomenclature as well.
Why I still gotsta school you in so much of this stuff, Flippy Pogo? Why you no learn, S.A.?
And yeah, you haven’t called other bloggers racists much since the old SNOB days on TSN’s site. But you sure have spewed a hell of a lot of hate otherwise. Which is why T. Lawrence is so smitten with you.
Place nice Boz. I am in a good mood. :-)
T.Lawrence? Is that GT? He is the smartest commentator on FITS-always thinks ‘outside the box’ and is outstanding in expressing his world-view and opinion in this arena of socialist despair, in the most intelligent way.
Not ‘light in his loafers’ like the ‘fly’. :-)
Sure Rocky.I see where you are headed. You support the ‘Obama Doctrine’-appease Radical Islam, install Al Queda and the Muslim Brotherhood in as many middle east countries as possible, give Iran nukes so they can eliminate Israel and try and funnel money into Cuba so Castro can stay in power and Russia can set up shop again while they finish annexing Ukraine.
Obama ain’t fooling nobody and Bibi gonna straighten that out when he gets here in March.
The 6,000 ISIS combatants who have been blown to Hell – I’m sure they’re fealing appeased. Along with Bin Laden. They’re all sittin’ around saying “What pushovers.”
And, every one up the ass of The Fellowship/The Family/C Street/National Prayer Breakfast and their foreign policy schemes of the last 70 years.
No, he has a thank you segment for our horse “whisperer” and people like good ol’ Jake Knotts, and Alvin Green. Haley does gets an honorable mention though.
The war-mongering is rather over the top. It has always been with the Father – Son team of John McCain and Lindsey Graham. If we were to count the number of overseas ventures they wanted us involved in it would be rather large. War with Russia, troops in Lybia, troops in Syria, troops in Iraq, more troops in Afgahnistan, troops in Haiti, war with South Korea. John and L are not advocating this for American security, they are advocating this for career high ranking military officers who gain from conflict. I recall being in Washington DC in September 2002 on business. I was staying at the Key Bridge Marriott. It was full of the “planners” for Iraq. Anyone who as Major or up saw this coming invasion in the following terms – “Cool, great career opportunity – time in a combat zone, better pay, opportunities for advancement.” Not one of them asked “Is this a smark foreign policy move.” Same thing with support for Israel – it’s around what’s best for Generals, not America. Israel is such a strategic asset that in 25 years of Americans fighting in the Middle East, not once have they offered up a single soldier, airplane or ship.
ANd I meant to say North Korea
Need I comment on the BIBLICAL and STRATEGIC relationship between Israel and the United States?
WE turn our back on Israel and soon we won’t have borders. Bet you would like that?
That’s about as crazy as statement as can be. Assume for a moment, that we reach a solid agreement with Iran, and that after say another 10 years, we find Iran is a strong regional partner, with an expanding economy, holds free and fair elections, is a new member of countries like Brazil, China and India. Would we consider them more strategically important than Israel (because we did in the 1960s and 1970s). There is no biblical relationship between the US and Israel. Why stick up for the killers of Jesus Christ. But anyway, if we turn our back on Israel – please connect how that means we won’t have borders.
Yeah, you tell him! It’s biblical. That’s why people who believe as you do want to see the “end times” played out in the Middle East, with millions of Jews dying in the conflict — but still say if they don’t accept Jesus Christ they will go to hell.
With friends like that, who needs enemas?
Get your Koran out Boz-what does it say?
Don’t have one. But whatever is says on that, and however it is interpreted by you or me, radical islamic jihadists are just as eager for the final conflict as you guys are.
They just want to see both Christian and Jews dead. So really, it’s a matter of degree. Degree of theocratic insanity.
Boz I am looking forward to the Super Bowl, not the ‘final conflict’.
Seahawks by 14.
Dang you. Packers fan. Patriots by 10.
I am not a paid shill for Lindsey Graham. I wish I were and may even get a job with his campaign but I am an earnest believer in everything he stands for:
1. Assertive military policies including a worldwide presence policing the barbaric nations and preemptive wars to prevent them from doing wrong.
2. The willingness to borrow money in order to expand the economy and please certain factions–especially the contractors supplying the best military in the WORLD!
3. The need to cooperate and help out people “across the aisle” because, essentially, they also believe in the corporatist philosophy as demonstrated by their votes if not their speeches.
4. Subsidizing favored businesses with low interest loans, tax breaks, grants, etc. in order to help the economy.
5. Staying single and being a warrior monk for the cause of American greatness.
Sort of like the albino Priest in the Divinci Code?
“5. Staying single and being a warrior monk for the cause of American greatness.”
Did you really just post that?
If Lindsey Graham can DO it without shame, I can at least POST it here without shame!
Dude has still not found him a “beard” yet. He’d better, if he is serious about running. Some convincing photo-op PDA with said beard would be in order as well, STAT.
Under “You May Like” for this page, we have Megyn Kelley in her undies. Always a treat.
I can easily have dozens of psychologist and psychiatrist make professional statements, that Graham is a psychotic.
Why is it that every time we see L’ii Lyndsey we see him with John Mccain? We didn’t send him to DC to shill for McCain. I wonder if those two are……?…No….better not say…
