Not everybody is as crooked as the republicans when it comes to suppressing and distorting voting rights. Most people would do just fine. The republicans need the electoral college as another means of potential manipulation when they fail, yet again, to win the White House.

Republicans won’t support eliminating the electoral college until Texas turns blue, at which point they’ll be demanding it be torn down immediately.
It’s like how they want to abolish the 17th amendment. Gerrymandering works so well for state legislatures and the House of Representatives, why can’t we open up the Senate to the same kind of corruption?
The Republicans will never agree to one man one vote. That would be a disaster for them. Al Gore received more votes than George Bush in 2000. Democrats received more votes than Republicans in 2014. If the Electoral College had been abolished in 2000, think of the disaster that would have ensued. No Iraq war. No Bush recession.
No one can really explain the benefit of the electoral college. All it does is take away the vote of the minority in each state. Even the Republicans only believe in it, if it benefits them. The Republican party in a number of Blue states is trying to change the rule to have the electors from those states selected by Congressional District. A reform I admit is more fair than the current system. Yet the Republican parties in the red states are adamantly opposed to that reform. Typical of Republicans they just want to change the rules to benefit them

Some agencies restricted Facebook access years ago.
There is no Constitutional right to have government (or private employer) provided entertainment during work hours.
State agencies could have gotten rid of a lot of bad workers over the past 10+ years if they had monitored personal use of public computer equipment and systems and followed state rules about their misuse.
Every taxpayer, every agency client, the functioning of every agency would be better off if they had. Just proves the problem with agencies is the failure of the management to manage.
