BEHOLD, THE MODERN FEMINAZI …

|| By FITSNEWS || We’ve never heard of Caitlin Stasey before today.  Apparently she’s an Australian actress and singer.  Which, you know, “good for her.”

She’s also mostly into girls, although she’s in an open relationship with Lucas Neff … an actor familiar to a sliver of America thanks to his role as Jimmy Chance from the Fox sitcom Raising Hope (which was canceled last spring after four seasons).

Anyway, Stasey has launched a website entitled Herself which features interviews with women – starting with, well, “herself.”

Full disclosure item No. 1: The website is not safe for work (“NSFW”).  Each interview contains nude photos of the women.

Full disclosure item No. 2: The website is rabidly feminist.  In fact, it probably goes beyond any sort of feminism we’ve ever seen … which we’re guessing was Stasey’s point.

To wit … answering one of her own questions about the “positive ways the world views women,” Stasey had this to say …

It’s funny, this question once struck me as innocent enough until I started asking women it. I found that EVERY answer they came up with had a seed of male gaze within it, and of course that’s the case. If you think of the patriarchy as a tree, it’s roots tainted by male privilege & oppression then all the fruits of that tree are tainted as well, no matter how prettily it’s dressed up. In order to state that “being a woman is good because of…” is to separate us into categories that are arbitrary and socially inflicted anyway. If being a woman, by today’s standards, benefits you then you aren’t benefiting. You’re merely feeding back into a system that let’s you down.

Huh?  Trying to follow that, but …

Later, Stasey adds that “it sickens me to have to admit to feeling secure when I’m with a man. It’s because I know people are far less likely to harass me if I’m accompanied.”

Hmmmm …

So … exactly what sort of childhood wrought this world view?  Glad you asked …

“Every night I’d drift off into this utopia of women being available to me (and) knowing nothing other than my desire for them,” Stasey writes.

A-Ha!  Now we’re getting somewhere …

This vivid dreamscape – which lacked any outlet in the waking world – is one reason Stasey says she is “adamant that LGBTQIA characters be involved in children’s entertainment.”

Wait … what?

(FYI … LGBTQIA = Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex, and asexual).

Again … hmmmmm.

Yet while she’s all about sounding her barbaric yawp from the rooftops of the interwebs, Stasey isn’t so keen when those who disagree with her exercise the same right. For example when asked about the issue of abortion, Stasey made it clear that those who don’t support “reproductive rights” should refrain from voicing their beliefs.

“If you’re pro life/anti contraceptive, swell, just keep it to your f*cking self (and) practice it, don’t enforce it on others,” she wrote.

Classy …

Our erstwhile columnist Taylor Brown was not amused.

“Every single thing she said I disagreed with,” Brown told us. “If ‘a woman can be anything’ is my Gourmet Shop chicken salad sandwich a woman, then?!”

Brown added its ironic how Stasey’s article closes with an admonition for women to love and support one another “yet it attacks women throughout the whole f*cking article.”

Good point …

This website loves women.  For all the right … and wrong … reasons.  But Stasey is so far off the deep end it’s borderline comical – especially when it is rebuking women who don’t fit its ideal mold.

Freedom of expression to Stasey depends on conformity to a certain set of ideas … which is obviously not freedom at all.
