|| By FITSNEWS ||  If you’re attending South Carolina’s quadrennial inaugural festivities in Columbia, S.C. this week, State Treasurer Curtis Loftis has an invitation for you …

Loftis will be hosting an inaugural reception in his office – and while we’re not sure punch will be made available (we hope so … because we love punch), it’s a chance to thank one of the few guys in state government who has actually been true to his word when it comes to watching out for taxpayers.

Which is why we were proud to endorse his reelection …

Anyway, Loftis’ event will be held from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. EST in room 121 of the Wade Hampton building (1200 Senate Street) on the S.C. State House grounds.

Got an event you’d like us to promote?  We’re happy to help.  Send us the information via our contact page …

Will this be yet another tax payer funded soiree, or will the treasurer do the right thing and pay for the party out of his own pocket?

Is this the same reception where Loftis will marry his long time love and an hour later divorce each other???? Three events celebrated for the price of one!!!!!

Great reception Mr. Treasurer. Thanks for having us “regular people” not the office.

Typical January 14, 2015 at 8:49 pm

So the office wasn’t invited? Typical. The staff does all the work and curt doesn’t even think enough of them to invite them to his taxpayer funded reception. Might explain why 3 key employees have already resigned since January 1, 2015, with more to follow. And FYI, no matter who pays for the refreshments, it’s still on taxpayer dime that no work is being done. Curt, enjoy your “regular people”. Maybe they can do the work when your staff walks out.

Why would anyone write such lies.
1. The event was paid for by private funds.
2. All employees were invited, most came and had a great time.
3. Photos were taken and placed online for everyone to see.
3. Open house events are allowed in government offices, in fact inaugural events were underway all around the state house complex.
I just can’t understand why someone would tell such lies.

JJ said “Thanks for having us “regular people” not the office.” Sure sounds like the office wasn’t invited. Don’t be hating on typical for pointing it out,

Silly, silly, silly.

Typical January 15, 2015 at 10:27 pm

Explain what lies were written? The fact that Curtis takes credit for the accomplishments of his staff? The fact that 3 key employees have resigned? The fact that more employees will follow suit? The fact that even though the cost of refreshments may be paid from private funds, the time employees spent at the “drop-in”, including the treasurer & executive staff, costs tax payers money? Yes, explain, exactly what lies were written. Kind of hard to argue with FACTS.

hahaha. very funny. Repeating silly lies will not make them true, except to silly people.

Just remember, haters gonna hate. That is what they do.

Sure enough, curt. You would know! Prove those facts wrong if you can. Oh wait, you can’t. Jerk.

The food was spectacular, as usual, at Curtis Loftis inaugural gala, but there were terds floating in the punch bowl.
