Spurrier Sr. better hire a good DC or he will be gone next year; and if not Ray Tanner will be gone as AD. There are a lot of large donors pissed-off right. Since Tanner has taken over at AD, the baseball and football programs are regressing back to mediocrity.
We are losing top recruits and and have lost the last three Mr. SC Football award winners – two to UGA.
In 10 years at USC, Spurrier Sr. has not recruited ONE 5 star QB and only ONE 4 star – Garcia. This despite having Bennet and Brown at Duke and Johnson, Wuerffel, Mathews and Grossman at UF – all who were ‘world class’ passing QB’s. BTW, Connor Shaw was 3 Star and Dylan 2 star.
This is a classic example of why old coaches need to retire and give the young guys a chance. And by ‘young’, I mean Kliff Kingsbury at Texas Tech not Steve Spurrier, Jr.
Tanner wins two National Championships and they make him A.D. If Spurcock won a Nat. Champ. they’d make him President of the University.

I heard those stupid kind of comments about Coach Tanner during his CWS drought btwn 2005 and 2010 from baseball ignorant people who, if they had their way during that time, would have gotten rid of Coach Tanner.
If you’re above a half-assed team you can make the Super Regional, it’s kind of like making a bowl game in football.

Tanner should have never been given the AD position. You can’t hold this job and be buddies with everyone and have the reputation as a nice guy. The job requires being a hatchet man and not giving a fuck about anything but the W-L record and the bottom line.

OK, but Muschamp is not the best Defensive Coach available in the first place. He was loser at Florida, and will be so at Auburn. Instead, USC should look to the NFL for their next Defensive Coach. There are many to chose from, just get out the check book and find the best one.
