Ethics and wrongdoing aside, if I had run for re-election on the premise that I would finally gain a seat on Ways and Means only to find my “power ally,” Harrell, displaced, I too would give it up. With the stench that follows him around, he’s not going to gain any influence with the new leadership anytime soon.
