MEANWHILE STEVE SPURRIER ADDRESSES WILL MUSCHAMP RUMORS

By FITSNEWS || Clemson University head football coach Dabo Swinney is downplaying speculation that he’s a candidate for the soon-to-be-vacant head coaching position at the University of Florida.

But he’s not flat out rebuking the rumor …

“The more you sit around and talk about that kind of stuff, the more of a distraction it is,” Swinney told reporters this week. “I love my job. I just signed a long term contract because of that. And this is a place that’s special to me. And I’ve invested a lot here. My focus is 100 percent on winning here.”

Swinney isn’t considered one of the top tier candidates to replace Will Muschamp at Florida, but his name is among those being discussed (along with Ole Miss’ Hugh Freeze, Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy, Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin and Arizona State’s Todd Graham).

In other news, Muschamp said this week he would like to coach again in 2015 – and South Carolina was one of four teams rumored to be eyeing him as a possible defensive coordinator (Auburn, Florida State and Texas A&M were the others).

Just as we speculated months ago …

“If he wants to coach again next year, I’m sure a lot of people will be after him,” South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier told reporters this week, although he declined to comment when asked if he was going to be one of those coaches.

Dabo is 58-26 at Clemson. He has a 69% win percentage. Spurrier has a 65% win percentage at SC. Swinney would have to be a contender if he wanted to coach at Florida. Universities really don’t give a crap who calls the plays as long as you win. He’s a top recruiter and a good “face” for the university. I would think he would be on anyone’s top 5 list. He is not going anywhere though. Florida payed Muschamp 6.3 to ride away. Dabos buyout is 5 million. Doubt Florida would drop that kind of cash to get him.

Muschamp will be the next defensive coordinator at SC. 2015 will be Spurriers last. He will see to it that Muschamp replaces him. With the understanding that Steve Jr. remain on staff at 350k a year of course.

He’ll have to guarantee more than that for jr. when the old ball sack leaves. More like 1.2 or greater.

@new york Dylan. I can see what your saying… Samuel`s article is really great… on saturday I got a new Buick from earning $8113 this-past/five weeks and just a little over $10 thousand lass month. no-doubt about it, this really is the nicest-job Ive ever had. I began this 10-months ago and almost immediately started making a cool minimum $73.. per-hour. I follow the details here,…

Swinney would be a pretender at UF. SOS will be here 5 more years. Ellis Johnson will be back in Cola next year. SOS jr. along with the rest of um on that side of the ball will be gone when SOS hangs it up. Art Briles next coach in cola when that time comes. As a Clempson fan i sure would hope SOS goes in 2015 after 7 straight.

Its probably happened somewhere…but once coaches leave somewhere they rarely come back.

So how much will tickets be with a coaching staff that will cost 10+ million per year?

For some reason, this report is not riveting.

The “report” is merely click bait. I just contributed.

Exactly right. The report is……. who would want that mama crotch sniffer? Win or lose, you don’t sleep with your mother. Unless you are “dat boy”.

Coach Swinney has standards and will not go to any SEC school. SEC is a win at costs conference and is a black eye on college sports especially football.

“All IN” is a coded message. Figure it out for yourself. Standards my ass.

Is it like backward masking encoded, or is there some secret decoder ring you have to have to know what its “other” meaning is?

that's simple November 22, 2014 at 5:12 pm

All in has one of 3 meanings.
1. you have the best and push with it and win,
2. you think you have the best, push with it and find out you didn’t have the best and lose.
3 you have nothing and act like you are the best but still lose when called.
Dabo is all about #2 and #3. he has yet to even have the best team in the state. so for Dabo “ALL IN” means bluff

Are you really that stupid? When the mighty ACC has “No show” classes for athletes, or pay for play scandals, everything FSU has going on right now with more than just Winston, look at Miami, just a breathe away from the death penalty due to cheating in athletics, Notre Dame is being plagued with scandal right now. Only someone who doesn’t understand reason could speak like this. I guess But I guess you cant handle the truth huh?

Standards that don’t tolerate a player who beats his girlfriend with a curtain rod and throws her down a flight of stairs. Oh wait. Nevermind.
The only job at Florida dumbo is qualified for is bag man for the boosters. Or head cheerleader.

His stats, average at best, are compiled against pitiful football teams. His win=loss record against quality opponents is not so good. Do you disagree?

I saw a comment on 24/7 that Muschamp stated he would not go to Carolina. Have not been able to confirm it though. I hope he does come.

This morning, Dabo said that “despite all the chatter, he will NOT be the next defensive coordinator at USC.”

Did FITS quit the site? There has not been a new post in days. We got one -on SCPSD – talking about how The State newspaper is trying to blame Brawl on the Gamecocks…when it was Clemson’s Bobby Williamson punching Syvelle Newton, that stared it.

SCPSD is a GREAT site to read. Smarter and honest, too….and not stale and lying, like this lazy site.
