“FIGHT YOUR OWN BATTLES”
By WILL FOLKS || I knew when I signed Taylor Brown up to write for this website that I was getting a “Republican” columnist. So I wasn’t surprised to read her latest (incredibly well-written) opus in defense of Israel – which was visited by a brutal terrorist attack this week.
Taylor’s column – which you can read HERE – isn’t just good, it’s great. It’s precisely the sort of genuinely indignant and passionate response all of us should feel upon being confronted with the pure savagery of humankind – a chronic condition of our sinful nature that tends to manifest itself in the Middle East with particular bloodthirstiness.
“We must condemn the taking of human lives,” Taylor wrote.
And she’s right. But come on … is there anyone who doesn’t condemn the taking of human lives? You know, unless it’s by drone … or Syrian “freedom fighter.”
Anyway, Taylor’s column – which effortlessly channels the at-the-ready sanctimoniousness of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu – raises a critical point, one that bears repeating by those of us who do not blindly follow Israel’s marching orders.
Despite my Germanic heritage (and the Teutonic ring of my children’s names), there’s Jewish blood coursing through my veins. One-eighth, by some counts. But be it 1.5 pints or zero drops of “vintage chosen,” my view on Israel would remain the same.
It’s boils down to four words, really: Fight your own battles.
When Israel responds to terrorist attacks against its citizens with overwhelming force – a.k.a. the definition of a disproportionate response – I don’t blame or criticize them. They have a right to defend their homeland, and any Palestinian adversary (or other adversary) plotting violence against Israel had better factor such disproportionate Israeli responses into their planning.
Hell, that’s the point of the disproportionate response …
For example, were Israel to respond to this week’s savage synagogue attack by a pair of Palestinians with a broad military offensive – one resulting in many civilian deaths – I wouldn’t blame or criticism them. No one should ever dispute the right of a sovereign nation to respond to attacks on its homeland – as long as the responding nation is prepared to justify its actions and willing to accept the potential consequences accompanying such escalations.
But Israel isn’t just asking for my (or your) endorsement of its reprisals – it’s asking me (and you) to pay for them.
Despite Netanyahu vowing Israeli “economic independence” (in 1996) and telling Congress “we defend ourselves” (in 2011), fifty-five percent of America’s “foreign military financing” budget currently goes to Israel – which accounts for a quarter of Israel’s entire military budget. Oh … and that funding doesn’t include the costs associated with joint U.S.-Israeli military projects, including costly missile and rocket defense programs like the “Iron Dome,” “David’s Sling,” “Arrow I” or “Arrow II.” Combined, those programs sucked $503.7 million out of the latest U.S. defense budget.
Not only that back in August, Congress sent Israel a “bonus” payment of $225 million to help subsidize its latest war in Gaza (which the Palestinians would argue is the reason for the synagogue attack).
And God forbid anyone question how Israel uses that money … because they get really defensive, really fast.
Look, I’m not saying Israel isn’t operating at a disadvantage. It is. Radical Islamic terrorists want the entire country wiped off of the face of the earth – and are clearly not going to stop until they’ve accomplished that goal (or died trying). But just as America should not subsidize the defense of wealthy European nations, it shouldn’t subsidize the defense of wealthy Middle Eastern ones either.
Nor should it subsidize the terror groups fighting those nations …
Our taxpayers simply cannot afford it …
And even if they could afford it, in no way, shape or form would such expenses be consistent with the national defense obligation outlined in the U.S. Constitution.
U.S. citizens who wish to financially support the Israeli war effort should feel free to do so. Especially Jews – who represent 0.2 percent of the world’s population yet boast 11 percent of its billionaires (including 24 percent of all American billionaires). Or better yet, in addition to contributing they could pick up a rifle and man a post in the Holy Land.
Again … fight your own battles.
Of course that sort of thinking is anathema to the Israel lobby, which believes the defense of its homeland should come out of your paycheck.

I swear, I don’t know how you guys find these videos….
The US gives them money so we can meddle in their politics. They don’t need us. Let them do what they need to do with no strings attached.
Exactly, F*ck Israel. Let’s take care of home first.
“No one should ever dispute the right of a sovereign nation to respond to attacks on its homeland – as long as the responding nation is prepared to justify its actions and willing to accept the potential consequences accompanying such escalations.”
The Palestinians consider themselves to be a nation without a formal state. And the area now controlled by Israel was the home of Palestinians, both Arab and Christian, for thousands of years, until 700,000 of them were expelled in the 1948 exodus. The Palestinians live imprisoned within the West Bank and Gaza and are treated as second-class citizens by an Israeli regime that has already stolen their land and dignity. Israel’s desire for “self defense” and “security” is only a consequence of their own aggression and inhuman policy. And you can bet the Israel response to this will kill upwards of 500 to 1,000 Palestinians, most likely women and children. There is absolutely no justifying that.
“…And you can bet the Israel response to this will kill upwards of 500 to 1,000 Palestinians, most likely women and children. There is absolutely no justifying that….”
Unmitigated bullshit.
When three Israeli soldiers were murdered earlier this year, Israel’s retaliation in Gaza resulted in the deaths of 2,164 Palestinians, with 1,080 of them being civilians. Those are figures from Israel’s Intelligence and Information Center, not the UN or Amnesty International. It’s funny how slavishly pro-Israel Americans such as yourself yap constantly about Palestinian aggression, yet fail to recognize that Palestinian casualties are often 100 times those of Israel’s. I guess those lives don’t count.
Here’s a thought Skippy (or Abdul or Mohamed, whatever) – stop launching missiles into Israel and attacking synagogues and bus stops and maybe the “big bad evil Israelis” will leave you alone. They’re not giving up their country and they can kick the shit out of all of their neighbors one at a time or combined so they’re not going anywhere.
That you would call me Abdul or Mohammed because I am sympathetic to their cause shows your prejudice and hatred. And their country? Most Israeli’s and their families have only been in Israel since the 1940’s. A small minority of Zionists began settling in Palestine and the Levant in the late 19th century. The Palestinians have lived in the region for centuries, through Christian, Ottoman and British rule. It is also “their” country. And the reason Palestinians won’t accept Israeli “offers of settlement” is because it expressly excludes the Right of Return, which would allow the 700,000 Palestinians and their descendants the ability to return to lands from which they were forcibly expelled. The fact is, the West felt guilty about the Holocaust, reneged on the promises made during World War I and created a nation state knowing full well that hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs and Christians would be forced into the Levant. It is our guilt over the Holocaust and the continued ability of Israel to paint itself as the victim that prevents many from empathizing with Palestinians.
He would call you that because that’s all he’s got.
It’s simple, you won.
Dude, save your history revision. Heard it all and teach much of it. I have friends named Muhammad and Joshua – I don’t hate anyone but I despise blatant liars and sycophants of all ilks. No one wants the Palestinians, including their fellow Muslims. They’ve been intentionally left to “suffer under Jewish rule” simply to keep a burr under the Israeli saddle. Save your “our guilt” as well, I had nothing to do with it.
You mean the Jordanians. And if anyone wants to talk about money given, FITS, why don’t you get off your ass and look what we give the mozzers–billions that get stolen by whoever is head of PA/Hamas, going back to Arafat. How about pick just one side to arm–unless the goal is to deal weapons to all sides, of course.
I replied to you Colonel but wasn’t really addressing you, just appreciate your insight.
You’ve got it right, the money given to any number of Arab countries doesn’t Will’s (Ol’Ronbo’s) narrative. I’ve trained with and very much like the Jordanians. Jordan is about the only country in that whole God forsaken place worth visiting.
No it ain’t.
Bahrain’s got my vote
You ain’t the only one who got mail over there O-6 type.
Bahrain is nice but the people there have a lot more money than the average Jordanian and they’re a lot more uppity about it.
The King and Queen have made it perfectly clear that any country that uses WMDs against Israel will be immediately in a real, serious shooting war with Jordon … And they have some serious, heavy firepower.
If one looks at the prevailing winds maps of the region, any chem/bio/radiological explosions in Israel would blow right into Jordon … And the Queen has been trying to promote Jordon as a tourist destination, so the less than totally stupid and/ or totally suicidal have finally gotten the message. (Battle field notes: the ISIS armies have been generally moving their loose cannons east through the desert toward Baghdad, away from Jordon. … Jus’ sayin’)
You also need to consider the sizeable force we have been quietly building in Jordan in your equation. ISIL will eventually piss off Iran and then be forced to head in the other direction.
… and then a squadron of A-10’s will come in real handy.
Without risking exposure, Q&A?
Why does the Air Force insist on buying 400 new Big Boeing tankers? And another 120 F-35s? This fancy high tech hardware has not been useful in any engagement in the last 40 years.
I think the purchase order is for 180 tankers. The Air Farce originally planned to lease them,Congress insisted they buy them, 800 of them. Over time, cooler heads prevailed. The tanker is crucial to our ability to protect power any time, any where.
… ability to project power? … (sic?)
Anyway, to have more tankers than fighters and bombers seems to be such a waste … One might suppose that the Air Force could stand many of these tankers down and try to strike some more “useful” ratio … Like maybe one tanker for every three fighters and a bomber … ?? (You might have a better idea than this, since you know more about the logistics.)
But refurbishing several dozen of the current tanker inventory would be far, far better than buying or leasing all new stuff … Considering that the tanker fleet has on average just 400 hours of flight time on the air frames. This observer understands that new avionics and newer engines are only a small part of the referb equation$, but still …
(Significantly: Boeing / SC would get a sizable part of either contract … :>)
Project was the word I meant.
I don’t pretend to understand tanker math but you need more than you’d think at first glance since they have to be prepositioned all over the world to respond in a timely manner.
And the operative word there is “need” … One would think that if “need” were essential to the logistics equations then the fleet of tankers would have more than 400 hours average each on the 8 or 10+ year old air frames. … Just saying that from the outside it sure looks wasteful in the extreme.
Mrs. Arafat still has the $135,000,000 that Bill Clinton gave ’em in the 1990’s. It’s in Swiss banks bearing interest. The Palestinian HamAss has been trying to get at that cash for decades … But no way, Slick Willy gave it to Arafat directly as a personal bribe to get him to the Camp David table.
The original amount was $150M. Arafat bought a boatload of guns and ammo from the N. Koreans, but those pesky Israelis impounded it. … ;-)
The rumors may be true about how corrupt HamAss and Hezbullabulla are, but generally when the amounts get large enough to need multiple international banks to hold onto it … The Mullahs are just too stupid to be given anything more than food stamps.
Did you empathize with Palestinians as they danced in the streets after 9-11?
Dude, stop. You’re wasting oxygen (and your time). I’ve had these discussions for years, and there’s a certain set of folks who just don’t want to hear about the provocation and barbaric reality over there. Save yourself, man…
He’s just like you, he can’t stop. He’s a “believer”.
“When Israel decides to take direct action against a “Palestinian home” they call, knock and often post a sign warning of the impending action before leveling the building. ”
10 seconds to 1 minute is the typical warning time, and they drop the whole building even if it has innocents inside:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdULPgX5mR0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doYmYby_7mk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHm-S8ryawY
Nice videos of buildings being blown up proving nothing. I’ve blown up a structure or two myself in the last thirty or so years and I can assure you we gave no warning at all.
But you said there were warnings, like a knock and posting a sign..lol
And you don’t think there was based on videos taken from two and a half a blocks away by biased reporters… Even the MSM has reported on the extra ordinary efforts the Israelis went to to prevent unnecessary deaths.
Did the Israelis knock every time? Probably not, keeps the bad guys guessing.
Let’s go with a little unbiased and even some biased reporting instead of your purposely misleading video:
http://tabletmag.com/scroll/186890/u-s-military-chief-defends-israeli-efforts-to-limit-gaza-deaths
Not sure where you’re getting your info, but I’ve watched these ops with my own eyes, and the intentional warnings are most certainly not “10 seconds.” If there’s a ten second separation between rounds one and two, that’s no warning. That’s called adjusting fire. I’ve watched warning delivered the day prior to the attack if intel shows that there’s going to be some issue attendant to moving folks out. Youtube and al Jazeera don’t publicize that much, but that’s the way it is. Of course Israel whacks the snot out of some Palestinian targets, but the nearly-constant efforts of the Palestinian / Hamas apologists to make the sides morally equivalent is disingenuous and getting tiresome.
Mmmmmm … and the philistines? How much warning do they give? Just checking on the score.
youtube, youtube and youtube, hell everything on the internet is true…why don’t you just go to the Institute for Historical Review.
Look! The whole gang came out to “refute” the videos!
Color me surprised. Predictable as usual.
Or, maybe you are just wrong?
They don’t even consider that…
Yea, that’s right, the three posted videos and hundreds more you can find on youtube are all propaganda. The Palestinians don’t know how to make a rocket with tech from even the 70’s, but they sure have production value down when it comes to exploding buildings.
“… Yea, that’s right, the three posted videos and hundreds more you can find on youtube are all propaganda. …”
OK
“… The Palestinians don’t know how to make a rocket with tech from even the 70’s, but they sure have production value down when it comes to exploding buildings. …”
Meaning what? That they are stupid? …
OK
No maybe – he’s a typical propagandist.
Why is that (in a rhetorical construct, anyway) different from the “predictable” posting of the lame videos to start with?
Because we can always count on you to unilaterally stick up for any US backed war interest, even if it’s by proxy.
You’re as regular as rain.
Wow…you must not read much of my stuff. The US picks some “good” wars and they pick some “bad” ones. No blanket rule covers something as complex as war. It just so happens that no matter how much the Israel haters try, they’ll never be able to create the moral equivalency they seek in that war.
Oh, so now I’m an “Israel hater”?
Uh huh. See, that’s the problem with your simple viewpoints. It’s either unilateral support, or you’re a “hater”.
But that being said, I’m glad to hear you think the US has picked some bad wars. I’m looking forward to more posts from you on the bad wars. Are there any currently that are bad that should be ended?
Man…I’m going to try not get sucked down this rabbit hole of time neither one of us will EVER get back. Put you exposed nerve back in your pocket- I did not call you an Israel hater. Upon careful review of my comment, you will note that although I was addressing you directly, I referred to the haters as “they.” That would indicate that you weren’t (necessarily) in that group. You may be; I just don’t know. I would have gladly put you in that class if I knew you and knew that to be your position, but neither is true, so I didn’t. My viewpoints aren’t “simple” as you accuse, as a matter of fact I’ve been accused here of being too nuanced. I believe that it’s neither too simple nor too nuanced, it just is what it is. It’s a complex stew, which usually means a complex response. Although I am trying to show you where my head’s at, I will draw the line at chasing down unrelated “bad wars” discussions. I’ve posted my opinions about the Iraq effort here before…I don’t think anyone wants or cares to hear them again. Israel is its own situation; they’re not perfect or fully without blame in many instances, but they are most decidedly NOT simply the other side of the Palestinian coin. THAT’S what an overly simple theory looks like, that. The Palestinian culture is simply broken in numerous ways, and the American / world media covers for that on a daily basis. Go live there for a while and you will know this to be true.
“Man…I’m going to try not get sucked down this rabbit hole of time neither one of us will EVER get back.”
Too late.
No way…”rabbit holes” are the 27 post, two or three day free-for-alls that leave me with a headache and a sense that some knucklehead just lived in my head rent-free for 72 hours. That won’t be happening! Good day…
Palestinians indiscriminately launch poorly aimed and notoriously inaccurate rockets into Israel …
…because that’s what they have.
TBG sees both sides to this issue. TBG also sees no solution short of killing most/all of the Palestinians or Israel ceasing to exist as a Jewish state… That’s why we should stay the eff out of it. After WWII we should have created a Jewish state in the Rhineland [talk about poetic justice] or the American Southwest. Plunking them down in the middle of the Levant spelled T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
TBG’s ancestor’s know a little bit about being displaced. After 65 years…the Palestinians should probably just hang it up. But they are not going to.
The surviving Jews probably should have been given the Danzig Corridor and Prussia and armed to the teeth.
QUESTIONS TO
ASK WHEN YOU NEXT GO TO VOTE
WHY WHY WHY
Why are we giving Israel $240+ bilIon aid EVERY YEAR,? God
knows how much that would improve our inner cities as well as going a long way
in meeting the healthcare of our own
people .
Why are we giving israel military aid?as well , when they
only use it to kill innocent women and children and let American soldiers die
on their behalf.
Why does every presidential hopeful have to go and kiss
israeli ground, (smacks of a slave kissing its master’s feet).
Why has the US let israel be its ” HIS MASTER’S
VOICE” , America has lost its vocal
cords and use of its muscles and functions to israel.
Why are israeli sympathisers at the head of every US, bank,
army, navy, NSA, terrorist investigations, media, CIA, FBI ?, has America lost
the financial war to israel and is being owned by them.
Why are US soldiers dying and died , countless in Iraq? It
posed no danger to the American people, but may have to israel, so it sends US
soldiers to die on their behalf. Now
they are war mongering about Iran. Let
them go and fight Iran, israeli’s are
only good at killing defenceless people.
Why does israel have 200 nuclear weapons and weapons of mass
destruction and nobody else has the right to have them. Why are they not being investigated by the
Atomic Energy commission and not have any sanctions against them?
Why is it when America needs partners for its imperialist
military campaigns , it never asks israel for assistance or help , perhaps its on whose instructions the US has gone to war
on behalf of anyway?
Why is israel allowed to flout UN resolutions with impunity
and disregard of International Law.
Why does Israel use Hollywood for its propaganda machine.
Why is Goldman Sachs and other financial institutions with
links to israel given the ok to rip out the insides of the US economy and re-possess
people’s houses.
Why is it ok that israeli/ American citizens were allowed to
go back and fight for israel against Gaza, is that not the same as isis
recruiting??
Why is the US letting it’s name be mired and dragged down
around the world to just keep one nation – israel happy?? Whose interests do our leaders and
politicians have at heart , certainly not ours.
Why does not israel respect it’s benfactor??
Why are the American people silent as their country is taken
over??
Why is isis not attacking Israel and beheading
israeli’s, would be befitting as that
would take care of two blights in the Middle East in one fell swoop or is it a
Israeli unit posing as isis because it’s funny how Benjamin aka henrich Himmler
is more worried about Iran who is miles and miles away whereas isis is at their
front door?.
WHY WHY WHY
Unfortunately at the moment the press is going to town on
Islamaphobia to sell the news and
appease its owners the israeli’s , who now mirror in thoughts and action the
very people that nearly annihilated them, the Nazi’s.
Isn’t it ironic that the israeli’s are being investigated
for war crimes, and it’s these very people who have been going on about the
holocaust as if nobody else in the world has had atrocities committed on them.
The jews only were subjected to Nazi torture for a period of
4/5 years, and these Israeli terrorists
have kept the Palestinian people in concentration camps for 60 YEARS and use
innocent women and children for target practice. Are people blind to the facts,
or are they paid by israeli paymasters, because to me 4000 Gaza women and
children against 67 israeli storm troopers is a great disparity .
The media wont print pictures of civilians killed in Gaza by these barbaric
israeli’s – but I forget that they will lose your job,
and perhaps their life, as we know they will stop at nothing. Can’t say
anything against Israel but It’s seems ok to say anything about anyone else, NO
wonder why the US is called The United States Of Israel in Europe.
Now they are selling missiles to another facist nazi leader
in India, who has been involved in the slaughter of civilians in direct an
blatant act against it’s benefactor the U. S
israel has infiltrated into every walk of US life, not only
that but they retain israeli citizenship while claiming to be US citizens , and
guess whose interests they have at heart!!.
Got to give credit where credit is due, they took over the
government and all its institutions in a bloodless silent coup, without the US
and it’s citizens even being aware that power had been transferred from the
White House to Tel Aviv
Paid for and sponsored by the Give America Back To The
Americans campaign.
“…WHY WHY WHY….
Why? Cause it’s good to have friends who can and will kick ass when necessary.
Wrongo there O-6 type.
Israeli units broke and ran during the first days of Yom Kippur 1973. Plus they got their asses kicked by the Syrians during their first attempt to recapture the Sinai.
A tank commander was ordered back into his tank at the point of a gun on the Golan and the great Moshe Dyan damn near pissed his pants before telling Golda Meyer to ready their nukes because “The Hour of the Temple is at Hand”
The fact of the matter is that the Israelis were nearly bested in 1973 before they rallied with the help of shitloads of logistical support from Uncle Sugar. If we had not bailed them out with supplies (and intel), none of us might not be here or would be sporting a third eye..
I know, I was involved in that little frecas and have studied and obsessed over that war since I was 15 minutes for leaving the “Green Ramp” at Pope AFB for the Middle East in October 1973.
That “alert” scared the ever-loving shit out of me and was a life changing event.
If the israelis WERE to go toe to toe with someone who is their equal (or maybe even a little less), it might not be the Israeli slam dunk you think it would be.
I ain’t anti-Israel BTW and have spent some time there courtesy of Uncle Sugar.
Let’s see, I believe the score is currently 14-0 against all comers. By herself Israel defeated Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq – twice (three times counting the war of independence). Egypt a fifth time just for fun.
Israel technically defeated (or even more accurately ceased fire after we brokered a truce) the Arabs at the end of Yom Kippur but you know damn well the outcome of the Yom Kippur War would have been different if we had not bailed their asses out.
And until the present trouble inside Syria, the Syrians were considered Israels biggest threat.
There was even a skirmish on the Golan a few months ago in the VERY area where some of the highest fighting occurred back in 1973.
Israel is not the be all and end they (and you) think they are.
Plus you just don’t want to admit they damn near got their asses kicked at the start of Yom Kippur
Golda was forced to resign and a shit load of staff’s heads’ rolled over Yom kippur after investigations were held.
I made your correction gently in my count and even credited the draw in my assessment.
Plain and simple:
EVERY reputable historian and tactician (except YOU O-6 type) agrees that the illusion of israeli superiority was shattered by the events of the Yom Kippur War and caused the downfall of the Golda Mayer cabinet.
Your’e high – remind me again what happened to Egypt’s Third Army after the Soviet Union violated the first cease fire by shooting SCUDs into Arish? Oh yeah, they had to be rescued by Kissenger….
How was Israel equipped? With freaking Sherman tanks and half tracks from WWII (and a few M-48s and M-60s) How was Egypt et al equipped? With top of the line T-54, T-55 and T-62s (as a Soviet surrogate, they were provided with a myriad of USSR equipment.
I’m not maintaining nor did I ever imply that the IDF is invincible – just that they are competent enough to handle their neighbors and that they’ve proven it on a number of occasions.
You go on like you are the only one who trained with them or spent time there and everything else.
I’ve trained with them too and I was not overly impressed. In fact I encountered some slackers during my time in Israel.
Plus a lot of Israel looks like a fucking dump….(now, Elat on the other hand………………….)
They’re good but they don’t walk on water like you are portraying them to be.
I’m comparing them to their neighbors, not asserting that they are supermen. My experience is that most of South West Asia looks like a freaking dump. Kuwait is bad, Jordan is worse, Iraq is even worse. The parts of Qatar and Bahrain I’ve been in weren’t too bad but the rides to and from looked as bad as Kuwait.
Ain’t but one way to RIDE to Bahrain!!!!!
And that’s the causeway from Saudi (Daharan if I remember)
The area around the U-2 & F-117 base (Northern Saudi) during Gulf I was OK – kinda like northern New Mexico.
But yeah, most of SW Asia is junked up to one degree or another. I was just surprised that Israel had more than its share of eyesores.
The only parts of Israel I thought were nice was the north and Elat at the very southern tip with Jordan on one side and Egypt on the other.
I got near the Golan but it was restricted when I was there. Visiting the “Valley of Tears” is on my bucket list.
There are apple orchards near “the “Valley of Tears” today where so many died in October 1973.
I much preferred flying into Shaik Isa Air Base… We have a couple of operations there. At one time, vehicles going into Afghanistan were unloaded and staged for flight or transshipment/trucking. Now vehicles being retrograded out of Afghanistan are staged at the Navy base for loading after being flown into Bahrain from Bagram or Kandahar. The other operations involve general defense of the Persian Gulf.
Driving through Bahrain you see everything from gold gilt to beggars. Like all countries in SWA, plastic “Wal-Mart bags” (Waleed Mart?) are stuck in the fences – the place is gernerally a mess until you get into the more important areas of Manama.
Qatar is the same. Part of the problem is that the building are all the same general dust color – just makes the place look dingy…
Typo of BIBLICAL proportions!!! (pardon the pun)
The Israelis got their asses kicked by the EGYPTIANS and NOT the Syrians during the first Israeli attempt to retake the Sinai.
I apologize profusely for the typo error.
Humbly submitted (and damn glad i caught it prior to “The Colonel” – because God knows i would have been made aware of it!!)
“Sparklecity”
I did noticed it.
Isn’t that where Sadat rose to fame?
He got a lot of mileage out of it and in the Arab way of thinking they won but because he entered a peace treaty with Israel (partially as a result of the Yom Kippur War), he was assassinated.
I have done a LOT of research on the Yom Kippur War and the ramifications of the Yom Kippur War are still felt today.
because the jews are broke and AIPAC has 100% legislative control over the US congress.
Look at the book (and doc video) called “The israel lobby and US foreign Policy” by Walt and Mearsheimer.
oh and here is the bank of Israel’s take on Israelis economy and budget.
http://www. jpost. com/Diplomacy-and-Politics/Bank-of-Israel-to-Lapid-NIS-20-billion-needed-in-cuts-tax-increases-for-2015-347026
just to add that these disproportionate responses are bringing the rise of anti semetism, across the world , scum like benjamin will God willing bring about the demise of this dastardly gutless war crime nation to a horrible end, destroying homes , keeping people in concentration camps isn’t the answer to taking peoples land away. Personally don’t give a rat’s ass how many d****head yids died in the synagogue abviously not enough to equate to the 2000 civilians killed in Gaza, guess the Palestinians won’t have to do anything, let the nazi israeli’s keep doing what they are doing, and their end will come very soon, fighting in the streets of israel will be welcome as their nulear weapons will be uselesss and as this nation is only brave in killing innocent women and children their demise will come very soon. Is ISIS stand of Israli scumbags in Syria, and that is the reason this group only kills Moslems, they should attack israel, that would take care of two horrible cockroaches at the same time, Dont misunderstand me I am against killing civiilians but israeli scum are not civlilians they are trained military personnal and therefore fair game for reprisals.
So…not a jew fan, huh?
They fucked him on the lox content in his last bagel order, so it’s “Death to Jews!” now.
Apparently not a fan of standard English either…
Shall I go with Taylor or shall I go with willie

You’re yelping like a hit dog.
Will should wear a sweat suit.
Just sayin’.
You forgot that they should both be rubbed down with baby oil before entering the ring.
This is South Carolina. It would probably be with Dukes Mayonnaise.
FITS has been told to become more feminine and pertinent, or he’d continue to nosedive. But when he does, his ego cannot take himself and Ron-Paul getting the $#!t slapped out of them….LMAO….PRICELESS…(:
If he ever nosedived to the absolute bottom he would still have more hits on his site than you. Any number is greater than zero. And way to stay on topic..you do realize this article was about Israel right?
FITS is so tired. I knew he hated Israel before he wasted his time posting this. On most issues, go see what Obama thinks, and apply it to FITS, and you’ll usually be up to speed. And look at what a Dumb@$$ Obama is proving to be…just like you and FITS…LMAO…
You aren;t getting it there, sport.
He doesn’t say he hates Israel.
He just says we shouldn’t be their international war sponsor. Not sure if you’ve heard, but we’re about $17 trillion or so in debt.
Did you even read the article before you tripped over yourself calling him names?
“He doesn’t say he hates Israel.”
That’s the strawman all Neocons construct. If you don’t support Israel unilaterally, then you’re against them.
“so tired” yet you who have no hits on your sad blog that no one reads, still come here every dam day and post under many different names..thats not sad; thats flat out 100% pathetic. I guess thats why you have no friends or website visits. You are so lame you dont even know you’re lame.
Just had an interesting conversation with Truman Capote who asked me to pass this on—-

GrandTango is fascinated by the proper rhythm and order of words and he seizes all opportunities for their contemplation. He then displays considerable rhetorical flourish on his low road to worldly wisdom, for, indeed, a poor appetite for books eventually leads to intellectual malnutrition. If this is true, he’s now in training for a famine. But it all adds up to splendid fun during the lonesome watches of my sleepless nights.
incredibly well-written,…
You need to get out more.
Stuff by Joseph Sobran is “well written”. Steve Sailer’s stuff is “well written”. Hell, Noam Chomsky’s stuff is “well written”, though he’s reliably wrong.
T-Rav made good points…but calling his pieces “well written” would be quite a stretch.
Whether or not one agrees with Ms. Brown…the Israel piece would only be considered “well written” in Middle School.
” . . . .the Israel piece would only be considered “well written” in Middle School.”
KABOOM!
Amazing how he says it was incredibly well-written, then immediately makes fun of one of the most stupid sections of the piece.
It was vapid.
That piece could have been confused with a joint press release from the office of Bibi Netanyahu and The Jewish Defense League.
“…Oh … and that funding doesn’t include the costs associated with joint U.S.-Israeli military projects, including costly missile and rocket defense programs like the “Iron Dome,” “David’s Sling,” “Arrow I” or “Arrow II.” Combined, those programs sucked $503.7 million out of the latest U.S. defense budget” and represent some of the best money we’ve spent on weapons systems development in years.
Iron Dome has a successful kill rate of something like 87% – unprecedented in short range anti missile systems. The Arrow 3 missile currently being tested will out perform the far more costly Patriot and can be configured as an anti-satellite missile.
Well, we agree on one thing. Let them fight for themselves. They get all pissy when we try to give a suggestion or two, despite the fact that we are paying them for NOTHING. To hell with them. They want the money, they take whatever crap we dish out. If they want to be “independent” then let them.
Now, as for the “well written” piece by that airbag you have on the payroll, we’ll just have to disagree on that.
I wouldn’t blame or criticism them.
No one would blame or criticism you for hiring a proofreader.
It comes down to religion. No one is saying it, though. That’s because it would be against the first amendment.
See what happens when a ISIS and an Israel flag is waved at Berkeley California.

The Palestinian Gazans don’t seem to get along with their Egyptian neighbors either.

Nobody wants the Palestinians. They’re seen as a convenient way for the rest of the Arab world to cause problems for Israel, nothing more.
Could not agree more but they fund them to cause problems.
Fits – “U.S. citizens who wish to financially support the Israeli war effort should feel free to do so. Especially Jews – who represent 0.2 percent of the world’s population yet boast 11 percent of its billionaires (including 24 percent of all American billionaires).” end quote
One eighth Jewish blood withstanding doesn’t preclude you from being antisemitic. The purpose of US policy is to serve the best interests of all Americans. No other American ethnic or religious group is ever challenged to or for support of foreign aid to their ethnic homelands.
Many other counties receive huge amounts of US foreign aid and never get mentioned at fits. Nor does he mention other ethnic communities in the US supporting their home countries. Afghanistan receives 4 times as much aid as Israel. Iraq, Pakistan, Jordan and Egypt also receive more than a billion each. Israel only received 6.4% of the total US foreign aid in 2012.

Israel has gotten too big for its britches.
Once upon, Hitler tried to exterminate the Jews who lived in ghettoes in Europe.
Now Israel has its own ghetto, called the Gaza Strip where it keeps Palestinians in subjugation.
Israel is a mean bully and deserves to get in return all the brutality it dishes.
The Jews in Israel are some of the meanest bastards on the planet.
