MEDIA TREATS DAMAGING ADMISSIONS LIKE “A VIRUS TO BE QUARANTINED”

By FITSNEWS  ||  When big news breaks, we just assume everybody else is covering it … like when one of the architects of U.S. president Barack Obama‘s socialized medicine monstrosity admits to manipulating its budget numbers and relying on the “stupidity of the U.S. voter” to get the law passed.

You know … THIS STORY.

Well guess what … we were wrong.  Two major networks – NBC and ABC – refused to cover Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber‘s explosive comments.  Meanwhile The New York Times posted precisely one story on the scandal – on one of its online blogs.

“The national media…have largely reacted to the Gruber story like it is a virus that should be carefully quarantined,” said Tim Graham of NewsBusters, a website that exists to expose bias in the mainstream media.

He’s right …

Of course it will become increasingly difficult for the liberal mainstream press to contain this virus … especially with video clips emerging which show Obama was actively participating in the deception.

Clips like this one …

Wow …

Not long ago, our founding editor wrote a column entitled “The Most Dangerous Realization in the World.”  In it, he opined about a “genuine public enlightenment,” one in which growing numbers of people were “waking up to simple truths.”

“They are realizing in growing numbers that government is not their friend … that it is in fact fighting to repress their liberty and limit their prosperity,” he wrote.

“They are realizing that all the myths they’ve been sold – myths aimed at fomenting division along ethnic, racial, sexual and socio-economic lines – are wrong,” he continued. “And all the myths about government healing those divisions – and doing everything else under the sun to “fix” the country – aren’t true either.”

Echoing that theme is Ben Carson – a retired neurosurgeon and author who is contemplating a 2016 presidential campaign.

“I think a lot of people are beginning to see the folly of the media,” Carson said during an appearance on NewsMax. “The media likes to distort things and to manipulate people and the assumption is people are stupid as the revelation came out this week. The assumption is people can be easily manipulated and controlled. Maybe that’s true but I believe people are waking up in droves.”

That’s true …

Now they just need a real choice at the polls … as opposed to the same false dichotomy.

And they need a Fourth Estate that actually exposes the truth rather than assisting lying politicians in covering it up.

The problem is: We all KNEW it was a SCAM years ago, while your stupid @$$ was warning us that Romney was worse than Obama.

To point the finger at the “MSM” just makes you like an even bugger Dumb@$$….You, or those who kiss your @$$, gladly stay ignorant. That’s the only way they can follow the Stupid $#!t you feed them.

PS: Got a great article up on SCPSD: Did Ellis Johnson deprive the Gamecocks of its championship titles. MA must read for the thoughtful fans.

It’s going to be really frustrating for you when the Republicans offer up a few token “repeal Obamacare” bills for Obama to veto, but Obamacare continues to tick until, at the very least, 2017. :)

Rocky November 14, 2014 at 10:48 am

Dead on with that one buddy. Repeal medical devise tax, declare victory, dump in an extra $30 billion to Medicare expansion for Texas, GA, SC, MS and AL – and it goes dead quiet. Remember – Jeb is watching.

Congressional action depends on what SCOTUS decides about tax subsidy on the federal healthcare exchange.

Aren’t you on gov’t assistance? Do you have insurance through a private provider or through a gov’t program?

There’s a deep, deep irony in someone living of of Medicaid bitching about Obamacare isn’t there?

Wanna go a step deeper? Think about the fact that in a tertiary way, Medicaid has also subsidized his website.

How do you know Tango is on Medicaid? Proof?

Think about it. Somebody could accuse you of living with your mom because you are a convicted sex offender. Proof?

Deep enough? :)

It was “uncovered” here because Karl dropped the bomb in the comment section once after tracking him down via his IP.

guest November 14, 2014 at 12:54 pm

He did? Thought he just mentioned a trailer or something. Karl posted that Tango is receiving Medicaid?

How would he know that since medical information is confidential? Please explain.

Ha! November 14, 2014 at 3:24 pm

Good question! It was in the same thread, so I assumed…you might be right. I will say this though, he never denies it, when it’s brought up over and over again.

I do have lots of contept for effeminate and stupid cul d sacs like Karl….they have what daddy gave them or they’d live in a box. No life experince….except ignorant coffee shop pontificating…

Lulz..Did Ellis Johnson deprive the Gamecocks of its championship titles? You mean because he got a better gig?

Using that logic so did Joe Morrison, by dying. Dam him for doing that!

I liked you a lot better when you weren’t posting.

I guess living there, you wouldn’t recognize South Carolina’s status as the go-to answer for the rest of the country anytime anybody makes a comment or joke about dumb Americans. The only time the rest of the country hears about SC on the news, it’s always for something stupid or embarrassing. Nothing personal, not your fault, just the way it is.

idcydm November 14, 2014 at 12:25 pm

Didn’t answer the question I see.

Tell me, what does the word “If” mean to you? From your MO I don’t expect an answer.

I’ve lived in South Carolina for twelve years, and prior to that I do not recall your assessment of South Carolina being played out in the media.

BTW “…but don’t drag to rest of us down to your level.”, wherever you are, your level is apparent. *Nothing personal, not your fault*.

The state and Fed markets have worked suprisingly well. Those who have obtained insurance there are 80%+ happy with their plans, according to survey information released today. The plans are purchased through private insurance companies. How again is that going to collapse? The subsidy? Like the ones milk farmers have been getting for 50 years? Colonol – please – you’re much smarter than that.

“… What are we gonna do now – take [“free”] insurance coverage away from 15 million American families? …”

Yes. And they can just pay for it themselves just like most of the rest of us have to.

Remember One Very Important Thing: We are talking about insurance here, not the health care itself.

* If BummerCare is repealed, No One will be Denied Health Care.

* If BummerCare is repealed, No One will be Denied the Right to Buy health care Insurance.

In Fact: by repealing BummerCare, the average individual United States Citizen Will Save more than $800 per Year in health care Insurance costs. (That’s how much the BummerCare Tax is costing Everyone!)

—–

Rocky, you flaming liberal, “progressive” Fascist, communist wannabe, Helot. If you like your BummerCare you can keep it, you will just have to pay for it yourself instead of making us taxpayers pay for it for you.

Interesting characterization, Sic: “Tim Graham of NewsBusters, a website that exists to expose bias in the mainstream media.” That’s not what they claim on their website. NewsBusters claims to be “exposing and combating LIBERAL media bias.” Sounds like a site with it’s own agenda. I guess they don’t expose bias on Fox News?

Real books.A fairly old one I would suggest-‘Postwar:A History of Europe Since 1945’ by Tony Judt, and a new one-‘Why We Lost’ by Daniel Bolger, and since most Americans got their information about the JFK assassination from a bad movie, and believe in a conspiracy, everyone should read-‘Reclaiming History:The Assassination of President John F.Kennedy by Vincent Bugliosi
An interesting poll Fits could.do.How many books have you read this year?Less than a dozen or more than a dozen.

More than two dozen a year and I’ve helped to edit two others this year. Last two were The Science of War: Defense Budgeting, Military Technology, Logistics, and Combat Outcomes (yawn) and volume 3 of The Cambridge History of the First World War (double yawn) in between, I’ve been catching up on Grisham (currently reading Sycamore Row haven’t finished it yet, don’t tell me how it comes out) and Wilbur Smith (Desert God and Vicious Circle – both good reads)

A book I’d highly recommend is,’Carthage’ by Joyce Carol Oates.
She’s incredibly prolific, and has a huge body of work,in different styles and genres. She should get a Nobel, soon.Haven’t read Grisham in a while, but really like,Mike Connelly.Last one,’Gods of Guilt’ is very good.

The Colonel November 17, 2014 at 10:50 am

I head eschewed Grisham for several years but a friend recommended Sycamore Row. He brings back some characters from “A Time to Kill”. Been classic Grisham do far. I’ll have to find a kindle version of Oates and check it out

Many people made the mistake of voting for Obama, then they committed the same offense, by voting O in for a second term!
Many in South Carolina made a mistake by voting Ohaley into the Governor’s Office; then, lo and behold, committed a second atrocity by re-electing her to a second term!
Most have found a second Obama term was a HUGE mistake.
The same thing was done for Mark Sanford, another huge error! Throw in Richard Eckstrom!
Now, I will wager, before two (2) years are up, Ohaley and Oeckstrom will be NO LESS a huge mistake!!!!!
