West Virginia is the only “White Southerner” state that votes Democrat…. which has nothing to do with Ohio.

I would challenge Rep. Fudge to cite black voter turnout numbers to defend her position that black democrats turned out to vote in the recent mid term elections. We all know that the turnout was the lowest since WWII. However, I am not prepared to say that low black turnout is the sole reason for such an overwhelming defeat of democrats across the country.
Voter turnout was actually HIGH in some of the states with competitive races.
50% in Georgia.
Obama has turned Ohio from ‘purple’ back to ‘red’ for 2016. Kasich is a very popular governor that even has the support of private and pubic sector unions.
Fudge and the racist blacks in Cuyahoga County (Ohio) won’t be able to steal enough votes in 2016 to carry the state for the Democrat nominee.
Obama got 120% of the vote in some of the precincts Fudge represents. Still won’t be enough.
Care to offer a link to your claim of 120% voter participation?

I am prepared to read an onslaught of posts denying any “white southern racism” towards our president. Queue phrases stating that he is Kenyan, or mulatto, or half-black. Or defensive statements suggesting that because one also voted for Haley or Scott, it could not suggest that southerners don’t recoil at the idea of a black man in the White House.
It would be naive to deny the power of the Southern Strategy. I have witnessed its successful deployment since the Nixon election in 1968.

Well written. Ms. Fudge is full of it. Black turnout was a MAJOR factor in the loss. Blacks don’t care about voting, period , except when it comes to electing Obama. Blacks struggled for decades and decades, demanding the vote, and now they take it for granted. Remember 1965 and President Johnson? the civil rights marches? what good was it all?
Why should blacks care? Has electing Democrats changed their plight?(not that electing Republicans would/will)
