What this country needs more than anything is honest politicians and informed voters.—- oh shit.—- WE ARE DOOMED.

We need more of what we got Nov.4. TOTAL Repudiation of FAILURE by the Democrat Party, and more whining by liberal sycophants like FITS…

With one more election we can TOTALLY Transform this country BACK to a semblance of decency and law.

You don’t know much about the rest of country. Heck, you probably don’t know much about anything beyond the little room your computer is in.

Ever hear of Iowa, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Florida, Alaska, Ohio, Utah, Illinois, Texas????…..They all went to the GOP.

And yet, no Republican will win the Presidency in 2016. Funny how that works. Remember 1996, remember 2008, remember 2012. Of course you don’t. This election was most likely the last gasp for the white conservative Republican vote. Using unsubstantiated fear as a motivator for your base can only work for so long. Especially when that base is dying off without much to replace it. Don’t let the mindset you foster in this echo chamber get SC confused with the rest of the country.

Wondering November 13, 2014 at 10:13 am

Who do you see the Republicans winning the Presidency in 2016 with?

Yes indeed. In the past 6 years (since Obama was elected), Republicans have picked-up:

11 senate seats
72 house seats
9 governorships
control of a majority of state legislatures-picked-up over 1400 seats in those state legislatures-2 of 10 seats in 6 years!!!

Need the White House to reverse his judicial appointments.

sparklecity November 13, 2014 at 9:31 pm

Won’t change a fucking thing

You are living in La-la land!!!!!

fuck both Republicans and Democrats equally is what I say!!!!

No party has done jack shit is 30 years except kick the can down the road

It is the equivalent of saying “I promise to just put the head in”!!!

Neither political party is worth a bucket of warm spit as they stand now!!!!

Wondering November 13, 2014 at 2:22 pm

Any actual names? Not trying to knock the Repblicans, but surely they have some one waiting in the wings.

guest November 13, 2014 at 2:43 pm

I can name 10.
How about Democrats? Won’t be Hillary. She has a brain injury and will never recover from her surgery.
Joe Biden? LMAO.

Wondering November 13, 2014 at 2:48 pm

Not interested in Hillary or the Dems in general. Just looking for one Rep name. Why is that so hard? Not a good sign.

If you don’t already know, you likely need to be reading another – more elementary – source than me.

What you got on November 4 was 39% turnout in SC. Don’t be stupid enough to assume that will be the case in 2016.

We may pass a law and not allow liberals to vote in 2016.

Hmmm… No mention of the unlimited cash flowing to campaigns as a result of the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United. Simple oversight? You decide.

Add in the lack of confidence in “faith-based voting” where ballots are cast on unverifiable and unrecountable touch-screen systems. does anyone not suspect just a little bit that Alvin Greene didn’t really get that many votes? Sure was beneficial for DeMint, eh?

You should listen to these Cato CDs. Nothing wrong with unlimited money from corporate interests in politics. Nope. Who cares if Cato is funded by those very same corporate interests? I’m confident they’ve got no bias.

I voted November 13, 2014 at 10:08 am

Here in Colorado we had ballots mailed to us a couple of weeks before Election Day that could be returned by mail, drop box or in person. This was the most pleasant voting experience I ever had. Maybe even to first time I’ve voted in a mid term election. Every state should look into adopting this model.

How is voter apathy cured by making election day a federal holiday?

If I don’t care to vote, and then election day is made it a federal holiday….I still don’t care to vote. If voter options suck, how is making election day a federal holiday going to enhance voter options?

Give them the day off and they’ll probably spend the day at home in their boxers, munching on Cheetos and watching The Price is Right.

Want to increase participation – let us vote from home online. Period.

Wait, wait wait….no one REALLY wants to increase turnout. It is just something to bitch about. Your idea would actually increase turnout.

“America isn’t a Democracy its a Republic.”

What a absolutely dumb statement. If I hear that one more time I think I will go nuts. Do they print that on stickers sold by Glen Beck?
WE ARE A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC. How little the tea nut types know about our constitution, history, and government never ceases to amaze me.

Democratic Republic – a country that is both a republic and a democracy. It is one where ultimate authority and power is derived from the citizens, and the government itself is run through elected officials.

Dumbass. That is defined as a ‘REPRESENTATIVE’ government.
No wonder you liberal/socialist fuckers can’t win elections anymore.

First, I agree that many elections don’t really present a good choice. Yes, we can get whipped up over one or two issues, but every other issue is locked down by the establishment no matter which way we vote.

Second, low voter participation is the goal of the Republicans. The majority of Americans vote for Democrats. In fact, in 2012, Democrats won more votes than Republicans for the House of Representatives. Only gerrymandering kept Republicans in control. The simple fact is when more Americans vote, Democrats do better.

Only one of the two parties wants more voters to turn out.
