VICTIM SPEAKS OUT ON PLEA DEAL …
By FITSNEWS || Brad Eckstrom – the son of S.C. Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom – is likely to see his criminal domestic violence charge dropped after the victim in the case, his former fiancee Blair Pettrey, gave her conditional assent to his participation in a pretrial intervention (PTI) program.

In a letter written to the circuit court judge assigned to Eckstrom’s case, Pettrey wrote that the state had asked her “whether I would be willing to accept, the defendant, my former (fiancee), Brad Eckstrom, being allowed to take a plea bargain.”
She responded in the affirmative … but only if certain conditions were met.
“It is my request that (Eckstrom) not be offered any kind of reduced sentence or settlement until he has completed a domestic violence and or anger management course,” Pettrey wrote. “As you are aware, the defendant Mr. Eckstrom is charged with having physically attacked and assaulted me while I am pregnant with our child. If Mr. Eckstrom, is not forced to attend a domestic violence course or an anger management course, my fear is that he will seriously hurt someone or our unborn baby in the future.”
Wow …
Accordingly, Pettrey added that Eckstrom was to have “no contact with me or our unborn child.”
Ready for the kicker in the letter? In laying out her conditions for acquiescing to Eckstrom’s participation in PTI – which would result in the criminal domestic violence charge being expunged from his record – Pettrey made it clear her assent was based on the expectation that the politician’s son was going to receive it anyway.
“I realize the political realities are that the defendant, Mr. Eckstrom is from a very powerful and important political family, and as such will be expecting favorable treatment in sentencing,” she wrote. “My concern is that any such leniency will inevitably lead to another woman or child being seriously hurt in the future.”
Interesting …

Just like Daddy Eckstrom, a dirt bag sack of $H!T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw that coming. Coz I’m brilliant like that.
Did Taylor see it coming?
“don’t contact me or our unborn child”. You’re going to have to go though me to get to the baby mister.
I don’t like Eckstrom myself, but, the fact is a lot of these type cases are concluded this way.
It is even common among poor people with no political influence whatsoever.
That final statement she made was brutal, and I’m 100% sure true. She’s got a good attorney and is probably very smart herself to take such a view of reality given the emotions that I’m sure that are involved.
At least she can recover from her wounds. Eckstrom Jr. on the other hand will probably go through the motions in his PTI and be back to square 1 in a few years. Shitty dad produced a shitty son, surprise, surprise.
Maybe he’ll pick up a copy of Ravenel’s latest book – “How to Name your Bastard”.
I just found this on her blog:
“I remember the
police asking his mother if she had seen us argue before – if she had
seen us physically fight – if he had hit me before.
She began to speak – but stopped –
because she knew as well as I , the only time she could recall – was a
time she walked in to his bedroom, seeing him on top of me punching me.
To which she rolled her eyes, and walked out.
It wasn’t the only time. And her son wasn’t the ‘innocent little boy’ they tried so hard to claim and argue he was.”

Blood is thicker than water.
Now T-Rav and Eckstrom can hang out together trying to pick up 20 year-olds and talk about how bad of a ho each one of their baby’s momma are.
“your setback is only a setup for your comeback”
Reality is that before he even attends the first class he will out on the street with another potential victim hanging on his arm
If you want to cure his CDV’s ways, then domesticate the son of bitch and cut his nuts off
Dang – gotta agree with that.
Maybe the Eckstroms could join T Rav on the reality show. And then move the whole thing to a trailer park
Shocking, really! So sociopath really does run in the family! What a surprise! Oh, and should we be shocked that they are attracted to each other? That crazy bitch Kelly Payne is by far more nuts than all of them.
It is a shame that all girls don’t have an older brother like Sonny from The Godfather.
Screw Sonny – he was an idiot. It’s Michael you have to worry about. Sonny throws punches. Michael has someone show up and you die.
For once, no one called me the idiot. Thank you.
Start making contact with all of the dozens of women’s victim rights groups …. He will never have his record expunged if that happens. The corrupt SC Court System will get spanked. On another note, that domestic violence and or anger management course is the biggest joke and rip off ever. Its nothing but a money racket that does absolutely nothing.
HE BEAT A PREGNANT WOMAN FOR CHRIST SAKE! …. THE MAN IS A MONSTER!!!
Apples don’t fall too far from the tree.
If the law says that PTI is not available for violent crimes, how do the elected solicitors get the authority to disregard, override, break the law when they give PTI to violent offenders?
Is there any record keeping done to track PTI cases to see just how many of the ‘participants’ re-offend?
We’ve got a problem when cops, prosecutors and judges all seem to have problems with what defines ‘violent’.
The perks of office in South Carolina. You can hit women, run over kids, shoot minorities, get the road crew to fix your driveway, and well, do just about anything you want. Because after all, corruption isn’t a crime in South Carolina – instead – “Son, it’s a way of life.”
CDV is a crime where the charges are not “suppose” to be dropped. However, it seems if you are a state employee or have some special “friends” there are exceptions. Such is the case with Shalonie Dawkins at Spartanburg DSS. She ws arrested months ago in the small town of Cowpens. Her mugshot “mysteriously” disappeared in the local paper via a cover-up by her “friends” there at DSS. Later, charges were dropped by her victim husband because if she was convicted, she would have lost her job. We can only hope EDDIE TALLON who has been appointed to SC CDV Committe, takes a serious look in to all of these loopholes and chastise the people who try to cover up, punish those who allow it, and even though the case cannot be re-opened as in the case of Shalonie Dawkins, she should STILL lose her job. We do not need to employ state employees who have no control over their actions. If you cannot act in a responsible manner to those you claim to love, why should the tax payers of SC want her working on their dime? Same to Eckstrom – you should be ashamed of trying to jump through the loopholes to provide special provsions for your family. You are a state employee….and STATE EMPLOYEES that are PAID by the taxpayers of SC must be held to a higher standard!
