WELCOME TO “REPUBLICAN-CONTROLLED” SOUTH CAROLINA …
By FITSNEWS || U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham told the voters of South Carolina – the so-called “reddest state in America” – that he planned on violating his pledge not to raise their taxes. Again.
How did they respond? By reelecting him to the U.S. Senate in a landslide.
Seriously … the most liberal “Republican” in Washington, D.C. won in a walk in the most “conservative” state in the country.
Go friggin figure …
Never underestimate the benefit of not having a credible opponent … and never overestimate the intellectual capacity of the average South Carolina voter.
With 98 percent of precincts reporting, Graham was ahead of Democratic Brad Hutto by a 55-38 percent margin – with independent candidate Thomas Ravenel receiving 4 percent of the vote.

Let the taxing begin!
Massive tax hikes!
Let er rip!
At least he is trying to figure out how to pay for all of those wars he wants to start.
Lindsay is the new “Strom Thurmond.” His fellow South Carolinians have declared that nothing he can ever do will keep him from being re-elected! What a pitiful state….
Delta is ready when you are.
Goes to show you how many morons voted straight party tickets.
no it is a model to be emulated. this is what can happen when you unite a base.
the GOP in this state is a model of voter power. it deserves our respect. wow.
I didn’t vote for him…but I was very proud to vote for Tim Scott!
“The only way I can lose is if I’m caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy.”
–Former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards
TBG has doubts that even this would sway the morons that vote for Graham.
or Haley
Ditto!
Truer words never spoken!
Luckily for Graham he doesn’t have to worry about being caught in bed with a girl of any kind.
The lesson of the 2014 campaigns: find a better candidate. Hutto and T-Rav simply weren’t it.
You need a money machine too. Big Dem or Ind supporters aren’t willing to throw away their money on a losing cause – South Carolina votes Republican.
I’d submit we could have found a better “Republican” candidate but the six dwarfs in the primary weren’t it and Hutto and T-Rav weren’t even close.
Money follows real candidates. Big donors (for the most part) aren’t necessarily true believers, they’re successful people who are buying access and they’ll buy from whomever may have it. Fringy candidates who just don’t have “it” and are obviously not electable simply don’t attract money. The free market strikes again!
You might be a colonel, but you are still a dumb ass. HAHAHAhAAHAHAAAA!
You mean a reality TV star isn’t Congressional material? Who would’ve guessed?
Two quick notes from the grownup camp:
What happened to the predicted big disparity between Graham’s margin of victory and Scott’s? Adjusted for the number of fringe candidates, they were almost identical…
No elaboration on TR’s dismal showing after 1.7 million column inches of coverage here? A million bucks buys a guy a lousy 4%? I think without the late campaign implosion he may have broken 5 or maybe even 6, but the clowns I bet against gave me 7% as our over/under so I have three nice NY Prime gift cards coming my way…
He spent roughly $36 per vote. Not a good investment.
Awesome!
Six more years of taxpayer funded Jamaican houseboys.
And that’s all she wrote, Republicans have 51 seats in the Senate and will win at least one more.
Tills beats Hagan
Keystone! Keystone! Keystone!
Colorado
Give the dope heads weed and they lay back and don’t vote. Gardner (R) wins.
Reaching out to the gay community with his new hairdo, Trey Gowdy gets 85.19%.
Graham is, and always will be, a fucked up pig shit. He supports Amnesty .. He advocates for it. And he sucks Obama’s pp. South Carolina voters do no follow politics. They vote on looks and charm. But Graham is about as appealing as a paper cut to me. I know what he is behind his mask of deception. Only fools believe in this douche bag.

Graham won that race with 56 percent of the vote, but turnout was
abysmal – and none of Graham’s opponents were able to raise enough money
to drive a narrative against him.
In before this exact line is used to describe the November election.
55% is close enough I say. Where’s my cookie?
I believe he was vulnerable in the primary but there was no effort to unseat him. Just a bunch of people running and all they did was dilute the vote. Had the Tea Party or another conservative group found a true conservative I think he would have lost.
Lindsay was supported by defense contractors, who exercised their “money speech” so loudly no one could be heard over them.
“Fag wants to tax your ass.”
It was the whites who turned out for the GOP and the blacks who did not out for the Dems.
Black voters should be ashamed of themselves for losing the election–again–for the umpteenth time.
This happened in GA and in NC and frankly it needs to stop but then again I do not care any more what Dems do.
