… SO MUCH FOR “REPUBLICAN” CONTROL OF THE U.S. SENATE
By FITSNEWS || How sure is U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham of his reelection in the “reddest state in America” this week?
Well, the uber-liberal “Republican” – who has already broken his pledge not to raise taxes on his constituents – is signaling additional tax hikes are to come. You know, on top of the ones he’s already supported.
According to an interview with the Associated Press, Graham says if “Republicans” win control of the U.S. Senate on election day that it will be incumbent upon them to shore up entitlements. Which in his view requires raising taxes.
“I’m willing as a Republican to violate some of the pledges we’ve all made,” Graham said.
Wow … and this guy is about to get reelected to another six-year term? In “Republican” South Carolina? Yes … with ease (despite our endorsement to the contrary).
W … T … Eff?
Never mind cutting government. Or refraining from growing it at obscene levels. Or refraining from invading a new country every week.
According to Graham, the only way to solve Washington D.C.’s “revenue problem” is to raise taxes …

Burn in hell, Graham. Burn in hell!
South Carolinians are quite lacking in judgement when it comes to selecting leadership. Just look at our past to see the future. What we get, we deserve.
They get what they deserve, not “we”. I can’t control mobs of idiots via vote.
This doesn’t make sense….
Think about it some more.

That should tell us all we need to know about him. His pledges and promises are meaningless. His word is no good and never has been any good. He can’t wait for the election to be over before he comes out of his little ultra-liberal “closet”. I guess it was getting stuffy in there.
Still, the fools will line up to send him back for another six.
That closet has a lot more “secrets” than his love of taxes in it. Once again, we are given such poor alternatives that a vote for them is tantamount to not voting at all.

I mean a dood who is obviously gay is campaigning on being anti-gay and family values and we’re surprised he’d be willing to lie about other stuff?
Exactly, Jackie! Funny, but one of the arguments for kicking gays out of the military who were discovered was that they had this deep, dark, secret that could be used (ostensibly by foreign agents) to blackmail them. The ones who were open about it were never a risk for that. If they were already in the open, seriously, how could you blackmail them? The heavily closeted ones such as Lindsey on the other hand, …
18 years, 18 years, he’s got one of our Senate seats for 18 years.
10 bucks is 10 bucks to me. To Graham, its a penny. We pay this douche bag over $172,000.00 a year. And he is NOT worth a single penny of it. The man is fucked up in the head, I tell you. Why should I work to earn my living to pay for his BULLSHIT. F him and his flip flopping bipolar personality.
Neither Lindsey nor Will has made clear what tax increases are looming to shore up “entitlements”, whatever that means.
Just to take a blind stab here, but raise your hand if the payroll tax cap that funds Social Security were raised from the 2015 level of $118,500. Or eliminated altogether.
Anyone here gonna squeal?
It should be raised to $250k at the very least, although I support eliminating it altogether.
Apparently Ted Cruz will be pushing for a flat income tax on everyone if the Republicans win the Senate. If they get that, then there should also be a flat social security tax on everyone …ie, on all earnings with no cap!
A flat income tax will be good for the rich, but it will hurt senior citizens and tax payers with lower incomes.
Yep.
and why is that?
Although, I cant stand politicians like most of the Republican status quo in this quo. I do love it when they push policies that basically shit on their biggest supporters. I find it very humorous
*quo in this state*
I usually defend Graham, but he can make the most idiotic comments and get by with it. Now he goes out to Iowa to endorse the castrating hog candidate Joni Ernst. Why did he do that? Because he’s an idiot.
I also hear he is one of the few republicans who has endorse gay marriage.

From the article: With his re-election virtually assured, Graham has told business
leaders he wants Congress to improve roads and bridges and to shore up
entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare, among other
things. That will require ending some tax breaks and finding new sources
of revenue, which is anathema to many Republicans, he said.
“I’m willing as a Republican to violate some of the pledges we’ve all made” against tax increases, Graham said.

Or we could continue to tilt at windmills for the next 20 years…..The third rail at some point needs to be addressed, notably Medicare and SS, all darlings of the retirees and the elderly who will in most cases take out more than they ever put in.
In addition, I don’t see SC addressing fixing roads, just building new ones.
