Voting is the biggest scam the ruling elite have concocted to maintain their power structure.
Every now and then Joe Sixpack meanders into the polls, casts his vote, pops his “I Voted” sticker on and feels good for about six months.
Then, a couple of years later after being butt slammed by the people he voted for, just as his emotions start to simmer and boil and he thinks about raising the black flag and slitting throats….he gets to vote again…and Joe Sixpack not being predisposed to violence for the most part and filled with hope, once again falls for their scam.
Latest wrinkles: electronic voting booths … that vote for someone you did not select (several states) … regestration on the day of, on the fly (North Carolina, etc.) ,,, electronic tabulation by g’ment employees in which the software has been hacked to produce results that the party in power can change or post-date (or pre-date, like here in Taxifornia and elsewhere) …
I was just at a semi-political event and saw a Toal-voter who is running for re-election. He got asked if he was under investigation ’cause of his “stupid ass, corrupt vote” by one of his locals. I almost choked on my too sweet tea. He slithered out a few minutes later to the laughter of some of his old friends.
House district 114 race covering parts of West Ashley, Dorchester County and Summerville between Bobby Harrell (R), Mary Tinkler (D), and Sue Edward (Green) will go on as scheduled tomorrow Nov. 4.
The decision to reschedule a new primary and general election was stayed by the courts and the issues involving the Election Commission decision for new elections to replace Bobby Harrell will be decided before January.
Tipping point? Libertarians pay in cash, republicans pay by credit card and tip in cash, democrats put it all on the card, socialists pay with food stamps or a stolen card and steal the tips from the other tables … Axe any waitress …
Who tips more than a couple bucks for pizza delivery? 55$/is only a few pies anymore. Its not 15% deal like usual table. Same with buffet waitress/waiters who just get drinks. Not even a cheap shot, its like somewhere below non story.
Bible T, I read your comments often and disagree with much of what you say, but do respect your intellect and maturity in commenting, here however I have to express my staunch disagreement directly. As a normally reliable Dem and a long time SC resident, I have to disagree that the SCDP would qualify as a “well known” organization ;-)
Actually, a pizza delivery guy or gal should be tipped maybe even a little more generously than the waiter or waitress in a restaurant, depending on factors such as distance from the pizza joint, weather, etc.
The pizza delivery person is usually driving their own car, putting wear and tear on it, using up gasoline, and incurring other expenses above and beyond just the effort of getting that meal to you.
Talking with a female friend on the phone some years back, she had me hold on while she went to the door to get her pizza from the pizza delivery guy. When she got back she said something about, “I hope 70 cents was enough of a tip”. I replied, “WHAT????” She repeated what she said and I was mortified. Gas was near an all time high at that point in time. She “justified” her meager tip saying that it was all she had after she paid the guy for the pizza. I told her that I would use caution ordering from that place in the future as they probably have her in the computer as the world’s biggest cheapskate, entitling her to extra phlegm, spooge, or other bodily fluids on her next order. It never occurred to her that the driver may have actually lost money getting her pizza to her in that transaction.
I have watched too many of my friends allow their sons to deliver pizzas in the “first car” the parents bought for them. The cars age so much faster. When I hear my neighbors kid pull up and open/close the door I know immediately who it is because after only a year his car is falling apart. Pizza chains take advantage of young kids this way. They squeak by, manage to save a couple thousand and suddenly the Ford has a cracked head and they are stranded and broke.
So true! In addition to all of the stuff we noted, pizza delivery drivers have a dangerous job. False calls requesting a delivery may be a setup for an armed robbery or worse. Just about all of the pizza companies, with typical corporate stupidity, prohibit employees from being legally armed while performing deliveries. Hopefully, a lot of them realize their life is more important than that job, which can be replaced, and violate those restrictions as did one pizza delivery man in the Irmo area a few years ago. He turned the tables on a group of thugs who lured him to a house by making a phony order. He was physically attacked on arrival and received a broken nose. He killed one with his legally carried .45 and the others scattered like the roaches they were.
Personally, I would never tip a driver less than ten dollars for their efforts. I would say to the average person certainly no less than five, which is borderline with regard to the driver breaking even on their expenses and effort in getting it to them. I would have a hard time looking them in the eye if I gave them only a five dollar tip.
I believe most pizza places pay them mileage. $3-$4 is what they get from me for a $12 pizza. But since I only order pizza delivery about twice a year I’m not too concerned. You do realize that the driver isn’t sent out with just one pizza at a time, he’ll typically have 5-6 stops on the trip.
$10, who are you Charlie fucking Harper?

I’m not too sure about the generous milage pay that you noted. I haven’t ordered delivery to my home in a few years, now. I have ordered pizza to work and other places when it was the only decent option to starving. In each case, it is worth at least $10 to me for them to bring it to me.
Additionally, I don’t want to get listed in the computer as the cheapskate who qualifies for extra phlegm and spooge in his next pizza.

That is why Democrat voters deliver drugs, not pizza.
LOL! Of course, given some of the “choices” we have on the Republican ticket for Governor and senior US Senator, you’d have to be doing drugs to vote for them.
Who tips more than a couple bucks for pizza delivery?
Ehh, I don’t get delivery often, but when I do I tip five bucks, and that’s for 1 or 2 pizzas. The tip ought to cover the gas the driver burned to get it to you and a little extra at the very least.
Votes for Ervin etc.. will not count toward Shaheen’s total even though Ervin dropped out and threw his support to Sheheen as he planned to do from the start. Ervin’s name is still on the ballot and his votes are still tallied.
The most voting for Ervin does is put 1 vote in the “not Haley” category, which could possibly force a runoff if it results in Haley not getting over half the vote.
Nope. South Carolina like most states only requires a plurality to win a general election. Louisiana, Georgia and I believe California are the only runoff general election states.

D’oh! I’m a dumbass, I was thinking primary. Disregard, I need more coffee.
Doesn’t anyone notice that the SCDP “Pizza” receipt is clearly doctored ? I mean, when was the last time you got a receipt w/ a “rainbow” slice through the amount before the tip ? Surely someone has the original …

It’s brilliant.

That’s where the true power lies.

I thought Libertarians payed in gold (or bitcoin).

“Who tips more than a couple bucks for pizza delivery?”
A well known person or organization. That’s who!

Thanks for the compliment. The SCDP is mentioned in history books. My grandparents mentioned that they used to vote for them.

YOU CAN VOTE THIRD PARTY WITHOUT WASTING YOUR VOTE
Brad Hutto will be on the ballot twice for US Senator against Lindsey Graham. Hutto appears as a Democratic and as Working Families Party candidate. This referred to as a fusion candidate. The votes for both parties will be tallied separately to indicate party strength then added together for his total.

Does that mean I can vote for Sheheen, Ervin, Kathryn, Will etc…and my vote is tallied for Sheheen?
What the fuck?

Working Families Party
What kind of bullshit party name is that?
Center-left. More left than center. A lot of the people connected to it have union connections. In SC it has Longshoremen connection.
Doesn’t anyone notice that the SCDP “Pizza” receipt is clearly doctored ? I mean, when was the last time you got a receipt w/ a “rainbow” slice through the amount before the tip ? Surely someone has the original …
I also found it odd that the SCDP is actually listed on the receipt?
Maybe it was a typo? SCDP is awfully close to SCPD.
$55 worth of pizza sounds like what I’d imagine GrandTango and his momma would eat.
