By FITSNEWS || S.C. Senator Vincent Sheheen (D-Camden) is catching fire for remarks made in Florence, S.C. in which he appears to call incumbent “Republican” Gov. Nikki Haley – his rival in the 2014 gubernatorial election – a “whore.”
Sheheen made the comment – an apparent Freudian slip – during a Democratic “get out the vote” rally.
“We’re going to win this race because we want it more,” Sheheen said. “We want it more and all we have to do is remind the people of South Carolina about the junk that has gone on the last four years. Remind them that we have a governor who has vetoed over $100 million in public education funding. She vetoed our public school teacher’s pay raises the same year she gave her own staff 25 percent pay increases.”
Umm … really?
Last time we checked Haley was every bit as enslaved to South Carolina’s failed government run education system as Sheheen. Also last year she vetoed less than one-tenth of one percent of the state budget.
Anyway … not to interrupt Sheheen …
“That is the worst kind of politics,” he continued. “And we are gonna escort whore out the door.”
Sheheen quickly caught his slip, and restated “escort her out the door.”
But he and his audience laughed heartily over the comment for several moments after the fact … with one member of the audience thanking Sheheen for telling the truth.
“You gotta tell the truth!” he responded.

Interesting …
Sheheen has had trouble putting his finger on the right message in this – his second run against Haley. In 2010 he nearly defeated the ethically challenged “Republican,” but the straight ticket voting associated with that year’s GOP “wave” election did him in.
Our guess is this line of criticism, albeit accurate, is not going to help him in his efforts.

Back in 2007 members of the Legislature and Lobbyist were talking of her affair with Will Folks! Would they have made this UP? She was a lowly 2nd term House member, nobody special, run of the mill, no dynamics for anyone to feel she would ever be in a higher office.
No doubt in my mind, it was true. I’d worked in the Capitol for 25 years, worked closely with Campbell, Beasley, Hodges, Sanford. I found out within 3 months of Haley being sworn in, she was a liar of questionable ethics and morals!
Haley will be an embarrassment beyond imagination in a second term, mark my word!
I’ve heard plenty of gossip about “nobody special”. Especially when it comes originates from “nobody special” (Will Folks) and it’s about an attractive woman. This is especially true when it’s repeated by an anonymous commenter.

The Legislature had no problem over riding the Vetoes they were against. Vince and the Democrat Party at their Convention in 2012 proved they had no moral values and Obama is telling all the Democrats they support his agenda and we all should see what a shape America is in by now. Along with this the Chairman of the Democrat Party over ruled his delegates when they voted against adding God to their party platform. As a Matter of fact they actually booed the name of God.
How much has Vince and his fellow Democrat Lawyers in the legislature got from state government bringing suits knowing that by being in the Legislature the state would give them what they ask for. No lawyer will stand up against another lawyer in these situations because they have no skin in the game and they can take all they want from the state and the tax payers foot the bill.
Someone needs to show what members of the Legislature have collected from the state with suits that were not contested and fought over.

How can she run with Jeb, when he is pro-amnesty, for Common Core? The very things Haley is staunchly against. People have learned to really dislike the name Bush. You may be on to something, but I want to keep it simple. Haley doesn’t have a shot simply because she will be vetted properly at the next level. Everything that Vinnie couldn’t make stick will, and she becomes a drag on the ticket. What I think would have to happen is that Haley could do a 360 on the very things that will have gotten her re-elected. i.e. medicaid expansion, take down confederate flag etc. I’ve always said she gives a damn about (R) or (D). She cares about putting herself in a better position.
