BRAD HUTTO BLASTS HIS “REPUBLICAN” RIVAL’S NATIONAL AMBITIONS …
By FITSNEWS || Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Brad Hutto has launched his first television ad of the 2014 campaign – an untitled thirty-second spot that takes direct aim at his “Republican” challenger, Lindsey Graham.
Specifically, Hutto’s ad mocks Graham’s 2016 presidential aspirations – which may be more serious (seriouser?) than we originally thought.
“Lindsey Graham is always busy promoting himself,” the ad’s narrator states as strains of ‘Hail to the Chief’ play in the background.
That’s true …
“But really … Lindsey Graham for President?” the narrator mockingly intones as the music comes to an abrupt stop.
According to Hutto’s campaign, “the ad contrasts Lindsey Graham’s role as a Washington D.C. insider, self-promoter and potential Presidential candidate to Brad Hutto’s pledge to be a Senator who will work for South Carolina.”
“We need a Senator who cares more about making a difference than making headlines,” Hutto says in the spot.
Interesting … not to mention a criticism Hutto could easily level at Graham and Lowcountry businessman Thomas Ravenel, who is running for the seat as an independent.
How much cash is Hutto’s campaign putting behind it’s spot?
It’s not clear, although Hutto campaign manager Lachlan McIntosh says the buy is “major.”
“People will see it and they’ll be talking about it,” McIntosh said.

Hmmmm …
You know, the first twelve seconds of this ad is actually pretty good … but then Hutto starts rattling off a laundry list of liberal initiatives (including government attempting to dictate minimum wage hikes and pay equity).
Which is where he loses us …
In fact this spot reminds us of one reason a plurality of South Carolinians are likely to hold their nose and vote for Graham – there simply aren’t credible alternatives.
The other main reason? They don’t know ‘no better …

At least Hutto is what he is, not pretending to be a conservative while reaching across the aisle and giving Obola a reach-around at every opportunity.
Although I agree, the reach-around comment is one of the best lines Lee Ermey ever used and should not be desecrated when using it in context with politicians. :)

If you don’t think that the Founders reached across the aisle and compromised on major issues to create our country and write our Constitution, exactly how do you think it got written and the country born?
People who bad mouth compromise, bad mouth the essence of democracy, our democratic republic and totality of our history as it was up until January 2009 when the Republican Party in their little Mitch McConnell moderated meeting said ‘up yours’ to the nation.
It is a vile re-writing of our history.
The thing is, once finished, they created a document (The Constitution) and a system with very few flaws in it. Over time, those like Lindsey have corrupted the system to their (usually financial) advantage at almost every conceivable turn. Lindsey is too quick to compromise on the protections and rights guaranteed in our Constitution which is supposedly the supreme law of the land (NDAA 2012). Lindsey is too quick to compromise on OUR economy and well being, in favor of the well-being of hundreds of thousands of ILLEGAL invaders who have come here. Lindsey is too quick to compromise with third-world dictators who often are vague at best in their intent toward the USA, if not downright hostile, and lobby for more and more of our tax dollars to be given to these dictators and their countries, “so they will like us”.
I don’t trust Lindsey as far as I could throw him.
In the mean time the Canadian Parliament has been shot up, and they ain’t calling it workplace violence.

All these politicians are self-promotors, windbags without substance, always on the take. In order to be a politician, you must first be a narcissist, have a grand sense of self-entitlement, and have a bloated ego driven by a need for attention. I think the word “politician” should be included in the list of diagnoses in a psychiatric manual.

You talking about Hutto Stock Yards? That was one of his dad’s businesses It has been closed down since the early 90’s. That’s an old sign from the stockyard at Lonestar BBQ in Santee. That’s his cousin’s farm he is walking on. Some of the same land his grandfather,father, brother and cousins worked on. Good try though.
