ASSISTANT US ATTORNEY FROM MILWAUKEE INTRODUCES HERSELF IN LOCAL PAPER …
By FITSNEWS || Last month we ran an item about the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) discussing the extensive anti-corruption work his agency is doing at the state level.
“There are lots of state capitals in this country where we’re doing lots of public corruption work,” FBI director James Comey said during a speech in Albany, New York.
Naturally, South Carolina is home to one of those state capitals – a story this website broke open a month ago (which since started receiving attention from the state’s legacy media).
Anyway … we couldn’t help but notice a recent edition of The (Columbia, S.C.) Free Times included a reader testimonial from a woman named Lennie Lehman.
“I came here from Milwaukee two months ago to take a temporary job that’s going to last a year or maybe two,” Lehman wrote. “Tried to involve myself right away in what’s going on. I picked up a copy of Free Times and I’ve been reading it religiously ever since.”
Nice, huh? We commend Lehman on her selection: The Free Times is a good paper. But what’s interesting isn’t Lehman’s letter – it’s her job: Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) for Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Nothing like announcing one’s presence with authority, huh?
Obviously we have no idea whether Lehman is in town “temporarily” to assist with the joint federal-state probe of the S.C. General Assembly … but here’s hoping that’s the case.

The way Sen Majority Leader Reid was buying votes in 2010 to pass Obamacare, you would think the FBI and US Attorneys would crack down on vote selling in the US Senate. Does “Cornhusker Kickback” ring any bells? BTW, Obama’s SSN does not even pass E-Verify. What of joke these people are. It is all about their paychecks and pensions. Their sworn oaths mean NOTHING to any of them.

Likely the usual gang of flacks for the targets of the probe(s), making it appear that ONLY conservative Repubs are being targeted. Going forward, expect them to keep hitting hard on the whole “this is Obama getting even with Red state Republican politicians.” Total bullshit, of course.
The point is you have a sitting US Attorney General that is in contempt of Congress. You have other Justice officials not doing their job in that D.C. is off limits in regards to corruption. You two like to bitch and moan about “ethical” violations in SC not amounting to criminal indictments. How about the “ethics” violations not being criminally investigated in D.C.?
It remains to be seen whether or not the violations will result in indictments.
btw, I predicted long ago that as soon as there was talk of federal investigations of SC pol, this would be the tack. At an given point, I could have woken up from a dead sleep and written your whole script for you. It’s that predictable.
She is going to eventually replace Nettles, who will be demoted and/or fired. Nettles, as we know, is too cuddly with Toal. The public pressure is still building against the corruption. And there seems to be no letting up.
Lennie, welcome to South Carolina! We are so glad you are here. Bill Nettles will tell you what to say and do regarding all of these silly allegations against me and my good friend, Bobby Harrell. Keep pretending to investigate and this will all blow over soon. Thank you for pretending to be doing something in beautiful South Carolina. The feds should have been in here since the day that the SC House Ethics Committee gave Trikki a pass because she used the old Sanford excuse: “everybody else is doing it”.
Feds have never NOT been in Columbia, or any city of any size at all in SC, in this century. Even going back to the 1980’s, little ol’ Myrtle Beach has had an FBI office, which to my knowlege has never had less than two agents working in it.
