By FITSNEWS  ||  The S.C. Realtors Association (SCR) – one of the Palmetto State’s most powerful advocacy groups – has endorsed the lieutenant gubernatorial campaign of S.C. Rep. Bakari Sellers (D-Bamberg) over “Republican” Henry McMaster.

The move caught many South Carolina politicos off guard given how the organization has endorsed mostly GOP candidates in recent years – especially at the statewide level.  In fact seven days ago the group endorsed incumbent “Republican” Gov. Nikki Haley over Democrat Vincent Sheheen, petition candidate Tom Ervin and Libertarian Steve French.

“I am honored to have the support of the Association of REALTORS,” Sellers said in a statement. ” They share my commitment to making our state a better one for all South Carolinians.”

Sellers has carved out a nice niche for himself as a centrist Democrat – including opposing a “bipartisan” gas tax increase to fund infrastructure projects.  Rather than raise taxes, Sellers has instead called for a re-prioritization of existing resources and the de-politicization of the current infrastructure funding mechanism.

McMaster has not yet said whether he would support a gas tax hike …

This must be salt in Vinny’s wound.

Please explain. Vinny is running for GOV. Bakari is running for LT. GOV. Good turnout for Baraki by black/liberal voters should, theoretically, be good for Vinny’s margin of votes.

Is there some way you can think of that this is not so?

I guess the realtors are getting sick of Henry and his running for everything that comes open, same as the rest of us.

Realtors played the major part in getting our once-upon-a-time balanced income/sales/property tax system in the totally fucked up state it is today.

Taxifornia real-estate executives all go along with the ever increasing property taxes mostly because their commissions are tied to fat pricing. G’ment is clueless about anything to do with basic economics, believing that constantly increasing taxes is 1 keeping up with inflation, 2 indicative of a growing economy, 3 getting even with “the rich” …

“All inflation is caused by government, government prints the money and government can too easily print too much.”

” … They are running out of other people’s money.”

Developers and Real Estate moguls are becoming more leftist, especially in Lexington County. They want government (taxpayers) to pay for infrastructure in all these new subdivisions they are building.

Big Home Builder and Big Real Estate are all-in behind the Lex-Co Penny Sales Tax (just like Sellers likely is) because they see it as their own giant slush fund to build infrastructure to sell their houses to make millions, then raise taxes to pay for all the schools they’ll have to build.

They’re even push polling and publishing false poll results.
