WHAT THE …

By FITSNEWS || U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham – America’s most notorious warmonger – apparently hasn’t gotten enough money and blood out of his people.  He wants more war … more “boots on the ground” in countries where the United States has absolutely no business intervening.

So he’s debating a run for president …

“If I get through my general election, if nobody steps up in the presidential mix, if nobody’s out there talking?—?me and (John) McCain have been talking?—?I may just jump in to get to make these arguments,” Graham told Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard.

Really?

Graham is also not satisfied with the budding “neoconservatism” (a.k.a. warmongering) of his colleague Marco Rubio.

“He’s a good guy, but after doing immigration with him—we don’t need another young guy not quite ready,” Graham said. “He’s no Obama by any means, but he’s so afraid of the right, and I’ve let that go.”

Wow …

Here’s an idea …

If Graham is so serious about killing all the people he was trying to equip with U.S. weapons a few months ago … why doesn’t he pick up a gun and go over there himself?

Oh … right.  He’s a coward.

Here’s the problem with Graham’s doctrine of perpetual intervention (beyond its inherent hypocrisy and tendency to result in taxpayers funding both sides of a conflict): It doesn’t work.

Seriously … America has shelled out trillions of dollars (and thousands of lives) over the last thirteen years fighting a “War on Terror” that was supposed to make our country safe.  It hasn’t.  In fact all Graham’s last round of warmongering did was make America’s enemies in the Middle East even more determined, more organized and more capable.

Which he should know because he’s been in bed with many of them for years …

I can’t figure out why the GOP can’t win an election…..
If he does run, will he finally come out of the closet in an attempt to get the ghey vote?

It only makes sense that he might eventually run. Why else would he play so close to the middle for so long? Just think – a Presidential library in Seneca or Greenville. Now that would be big fun!

Maybe he is actually sort of moderate and pragmatic in his voting. I would think not mindlessly towing the party line on every vote would be a good thing.

Colonel, I am surprised that you let the “coward” remark go by when it is uttered by someone who never donned a uniform.

The Colonel October 3, 2014 at 12:52 pm

I’ve called Will out on this before, he ignores me but I’ll cut him a little slack, it is his web site after all. I do feel obligated to ask what uniforms he’s worn from time to time but cowardice isn’t covered up with a uniform or a flak jacket and the real definition of courage is “being afraid and acting anyway”…

I had a chance to spend about 15 minutes with Senator Graham on Saturday – he ain’t running for anything but senator and if my choices are “Air Force lawyer” Lindsey, “fat boy, trial lawyer” Hutto and ” a boy who generally needs a lawyer” T-Rav I’m voting for Graham.

Funny thing, in the last 10 years, I’ve spent about 34 months in SWA – I saw Graham, Wilson, Duncan and had dinner with Mulvaney while I was there. Never Saw Enos (he hasn’t been – in fact he spends most of his time in DC or on junkets to the Caribbean: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/muckraker/lawmakers-caribbean-junket-with-allen-stanford-the-pictures-that-reveal-all) for the record, I never saw Gowdy or Rice – in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Tom Rice does he actually exist?

Sick Of Sociopaths October 4, 2014 at 11:38 pm

We are not the world’s police. Nor or we a nation of citizens who support giving away trillions of our money to other nations and killing people in other countries who are weak. Try picking on Russia, China, and Iran, Colonel. Graham enjoys killing people. And that is clear as a bell. So YOU support him. So that means you support a sick twisted deranged SOCIOPATH. So that makes YOU just as warped as Graham. I just lost all respect for you.

Graham Is Insane October 3, 2014 at 9:37 pm

I agree, Will. And all due respect to the Colonel for his service to our country. His rank qualifies him respect. However, wisdom can not be taught. Additionally, some people stand with other in uniform no matter what. He is connected tight with Graham. So we have to remember that. I would not be surprised if he is actually campaigning for him and throwing his support for him around others in uniform. But that’s his business, not mine.

Squishy123 October 3, 2014 at 10:21 pm

A Colonel in the SC National Guard is as common as a Private in the US Army. Have you ever been to Bernie’s Chicken when the NG guys are in town? It’s Colonels and Generals in every booth.

The Colonel October 3, 2014 at 10:41 pm

The headquarters is about two blocks from there so you get to see every single general the State has and where the generals go (I think the Guard only has 4-5) the ass kissing O-6s are sure to follow.

Mike at the Beach October 7, 2014 at 12:00 am

Just clarifying your syntax here- are you saying that if a person serves in the US military, then they are by definition, “no hero?'” I hope I am misunderstanding you, because that would be about the silliest , lamest generalization you’ve ever made (and that’s a tall order). Keep in mind that I fully understand that the inverse is not true either- merely serving in the military certainly doesn’t make anyone a hero either. Like all professions, the armed forces have their share of stupidasses. They also have well beyond their share of folks who are serving for precisely the right reasons (and understand better than most what this country stands for). Of course, if you meant to write “Everyone” instead of “Anyone,” nevermind …

“I’m voting for Graham.”

Squishy123 October 3, 2014 at 10:19 pm

He wasn’t a soldier, he was a lawyer in a military uniform. The closest thing he saw to combat was in boot camp.

Reply
The Colonel October 3, 2014 at 10:47 pm

He didn’t even see “boot camp”, as an Air Force ROTC Cadet he went to cadet field training his sophomore summer and that was it. Not making a comparison just a point, Eisenhower had never had a combat command or commanded anything larger than very small base prior to becoming the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces. There are plenty of slick sleeve (no combat patch) colonels and even a general or two running around in the Guard and Reserves.

I agree. He has absolutely no chance under the sun nor the moon nor even comet Haley Bop. I do not like Hillary one stinking bit. But lets just say if Graham did make it through the primary (which he won’t), he will pull in about as many votes as Joe Biden did (3000) – three thousand – when he jumped in the race way back when.
.
Graham is more insane and delusional now than he has ever been. And it shows like a big fat sore red thumb. He has lost it. His grey matter is shrinking with age and causing more psychosis than he originally first had.

The first and most important question is, which party he would run on ? He keeps saying he is a Republican but votes like a Dim. The people of SC seem to want this coward representing them as they keep sending him back to Washington to vote against everything we as South Carolinians believe in. In June there were five candidates, all better people than he will ever be running against him and they all lost. I guess SC deserves him.

Let’s not exaggerate.

He votes R about 90% of the time. He’s really only bad on one-and-a-half issues out of maybe ten.

But he really doesn’t stand a chance in a GOP primary.

Reply
RogueElephant October 4, 2014 at 9:29 am

That 90% is a figure put out by his people that includes unanimous consent votes as well as procedural votes. In real votes where it actually makes a difference he is at 46% Republican. Which begs the question : Is this POS a Dim or not ?

Graham’s team is obviously concerned about this November. Will Folks stands a much better chance at getting through presidential primaries than this wacko war monger psychopath does.

I voted for the Democrat candidate (cant remember his name) the last time just to get rid of Lindsay Graham. I was even ready to vote for T Rav this time around just to get rid of Graham. I figured yeah T Rav is not a great choice but at least his screw ups would just be accidents not part of a planned assault on the country like they seem to be for Graham. Changed my mind after reading a FITS article on T Rav. So what are we left with?

After the past 6 years I think it is more important for the GOP (such as they are) to take the Senate away from the Democrat mob than to be concerned with Grahams insistence on thwarting GOP action.

If he came out of the closet and ran as a Gay Republican. He would have a chance. Sure the bigoted tea party mouth breathers wouldn’t vote for him, but that would be made up for by the “independent Republicans” who care more about fiscal stuff than what someone does in the bed. If he got through the primary, the general election would be a lock. First gay President? The country would be all over that.
