AND RIGHTFULLY SO …
By FITSNEWS || Unlike the mainstream media in the Palmetto State, this website doesn’t coddle government bureaucracies in exchange for “access.”
We don’t need politicians and high-level bureaucrats to give us “scoop,” we have an unrivaled network of informants who provide us the real scoop on what’s happening in state government. It’s why we are able to expose agencies months before the rest of the press … who routinely ignore major scandals while regurgitating what they are spoon-fed by government.
Needless to say, these bureaucracies don’t appreciate us very much … especially when our reporting ultimately results in their leaders getting fired.
Oh well …
Not surprisingly these entrenched establishments have fought back – attempting to shut down the information that flows to us as well as the traffic we receive when we publish this information. For example, numerous state agencies in South Carolina have blocked FITS on their internet servers for “objectionable content” – bans which remain in place even after we conducted a comprehensive purging of such material from our site.
Agencies are also taking steps to crack down on our informants … monitoring their employees’ government-funded internet protocol addresses and other identifying information as well as imposing new blanket log-in requirements on state computers.
For example, not long after we received a treasure trove of new information on the S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT) the agency implemented new log-in procedures for its employees.
Take a look …

Well, well … that’s quite a proprietary view of public information if you ask us.
Here’s the thing about the truth, though: You can delay it, obfuscate it or even manage to completely evade responsibility for it … but you can’t stop it from coming out. Sooner or later, everything rises to the surface – and eventually everybody gets what’s coming to them.
Meanwhile we continue to view the taxpayer-funded roadblocks put in our path as badges of honor … further evidence that we’re doing our job on behalf of the citizens and taxpayers of this state.

90% of the “gubamint” computer networks in the country have similar messages that employees blow through when the log in, 100% of them are monitored, 2% of them effectively…
As they say, keep on keepin’ on. Cannot count on the MSM for much of anything.
Have recently noticed how news agencies are opting to refer to Harrell as the “suspended” speaker, as opposed to the “indicted” or “arraigned” speaker. They expect him back soon and appear to believe he was merely caught arguing too loudly with an umpire.
Not only are you omniscient, you have McDonald’s coupons, too.
I am laughing at the wording, ” the property of the South Carolina Department of Transportation” when it should say “Property of the State of South Carolina” and “subject to non-disclosure based upon applicable laws and court rulings.” These idiots seem to think they own the department, that the people of South Carolina – the rightful and lawful owners are just peasants and slaves who are forced to pay taxes for whatever objective and activities they see fit.
It’s not ‘We The Dept of Transportation’ ….. it’s “We The People.” And perhaps “We’ need to kick them around and remind them of that. Some of those overpaid do nothings at SCDOT best be giving thought to blowing the dust off of their resumes’. And the idiots on the Commission, is the FBI probing you, too? hmmmmmm.
I stand with Fits.
Yep, there’s a massive hypocrisy with these agencies outside law enforcement claiming claiming any right to secrecy.
It’s our fucking money they are playing with, and hiding their corrupt shit while doing so. Fuck them. They deserve NO FUCKING PRIVACY.
If they don’t like it, they can get their asses a job in the private sector. Fuck them.

What I find objectionable is that there’s no longer any objectionable content on here.
Here, here!!!
Smirks nails it again!
“What I find objectionable is that there’s no longer . . . .”
I throw in the F Word every now and then and nobody seems to notice . . .
Nikki does as Nikki does !
If they are still blocking you, then go back to posting about tits and ass, please.
How “Orwellian” of the SCDOT…
Those disclaimers mean nothing. All they want to do is terrorize the employees into submission. However, a power play like this worked in the City of Georgetown to slow to a trickle the “tips” that were released there so freely until 2010. Strong Mayor form of Government. Fire several people and suspend a department head and challenge Council to do anything about it and you have a culture of fear permeating every employee concerning their job.
Enough with the BS, just be a third world type of place and get over it ! Everyone knows what is wrong, get used to it .
So fearing a website link admirable?….Hmmm..
Should I take that as a compliment from FITS, The State, Cindi Ross Scoppe, Issac Bailey WIS and WLTX? (:
Jean Toal ordered her Judicial Branch of Government not to read Fitsnews in about 2006 or 2007 when she had been busted on so so so many lies. Then she had one of her clerks read Fitsnews at home and tell her what was/is being said about her. She would get purple with rage. We just laughed about it all behind her back.
Queen Jean hates Will Folks. I have heard her say it when she was sober. She is such a lying bitch.

Well, since your site is blocked already, how about another photo post featuring the lovely Ms Bessinger and her two friends.
Here! Here!
Fits News “leaks” were the #1 priority of SCDEW under Abe Turner and Dennis King while I was employed there.
State employees are not supposed to be using state property for personal use.
That is what they are doing when they go to FITS or any media on the internet.
This site attacks state workers as corrupt incompetents all the time, but wants them to be able to violate state policy to get it hits.
They don’t need to use government computers to access fits. Think about it.
ho-hum! what’s the big deal? just about every state agency and, i would imagine, most large private businesses have the same disclaimer for their employees. Will seems to relish in the delusion that he thinks all of this is due to him.
That’s a pretty standard internet use policy disclaimer for government agencies. No smoking gun here.
Dated 9/24/14.
Might seem standard to you, and it is easy for anyone to assert that it is without really knowing. However, it is different from the previous wording. The change of wording was [recently] added for a reason.
I don’t understand the issue here.
